A 4-bedroom condominium with a sleeping loft on the top of Snowshoe Mountain is hard to find, especially one that accommodates thirteen guests in beds - no need to pull out a sleeper sofa or sleep in the living area. This is a great unit for a large group of skiers or a group that includes some non-skiers as you can walk to the Village, catch the free shuttle to any place on the top of the mountain, or just relax by a cozy fire while you read a book or watch a movie.
This spacious unit is located in the Shamrock Complex on the North Mountain of Snowshoe Mountain Resort. During the summer of 2009 the entire Shamrock Complex underwent major exterior upgrades that include new gable roofs with airlocks and covered porches in the front of each unit and new siding. This is a very well-maintained unit that has been completely remodeled and enlarged with a kitchen that is well-equipped for preparing and serving meals to a large group. Skis and boards can be securely stored in the airlock as well as a large closet in the foyer with hangers for 10 pairs of skis.
The living area has a wood fireplace and deck access, cable TV with a DVD player, stereo with CD player, dining seating for ten, as well as a full bathroom off the foyer. A selection of movies, books and games for adults and children is available for your enjoyment.
Upstairs features a full bathroom and an additional sink area, two bedrooms with a queen-size bed in each, and a third bedroom with two sets of bunk beds. Every bedroom has a TV and DVD player.
Downstairs there is a fourth bedroom with a full-size bed and cable TV and DVD, a full bath, and a 'low-ceiling' sleeping loft with a full-size bed and a twin bed with cable TV. This room also has a separate outside entrance.
Free firewood and kindling and garbage dumpster are conveniently located directly across the parking area (30 yards) in an enclosed building.
After you park right in front of your unit you never have to move your car until it is time to depart. The Snowshoe shuttle service stops 60 yards from the unit at the entrance to the Shamrock Complex and provides free transportation to and from the Village at Snowshoe (restaurants, bars, and shopping), Silver Creek Resort, Split Rock Pool, beginner slopes, Kids World ski school, the Big Top (arcade, games, Eurobungy, Video Cafe, weekend dance parties, and scheduled movies) and all locations on the top of the mountain. Or, allow 10 to 12 minutes to walk along a plowed and lit path to reach the Village. Powderidge slope (intermediate) and Cupp Run (expert) are only about a five-minute walk from the unit.
Whether you are a seasoned Snowshoer or a first-time visitor we think you will find Shamrock 77 a great location with a lot of extras.
