The first night there was a constant banging sound outside the bedroom window like there was a wooden gate/door opening and shutting by the air conditioning units. And on the second night there was a small dog that had been left alone that was crying and barking for what seemed like all night. The floors are so thin you can hear the neighbors upstairs walking around.

It was just OK this time.

Man upstairs had heavy foot fall and stomped around all morning up until the middle of the night. Def lost sleep over this. Ran out of toilet paper late one night and did not have an extra roll considering I had 4 people in my unit. Normally don’t mind the loudness but wanted a quiet vacation and had extremely loud people and blaring music at the pool. Love the property though.

Although, basically clean, the furniture was in dire need of updating. The most offensive lack of cleaning, however, was in the vents and ceiling fan. Gross. The vent on floor level in the living room looked like blood had been spattered in it. This spattered look carried over to the refrigerator. I might recommend this accommodation because of the cost and location after I had thoroughly explained the concerns listed above.

But mistake was mine for not looking at the details on booking. But the unit itself was old looking and smelled of mold maybe due to old carpet or dark spots on ceiling. Perfect Location/Not Well Equipped

The most ideal location! The queen bed is extremely hard. Property Management was able to get us a mattress topper before the third night of our stay and that helped. Most hooks were broken and those are needed when at the beach to hang up wet towels and bathing suits. The blankets for the bed were itchy and felt like cardboard. Temperature control was poor. Turning on the AC made the living room freezing but left the bedroom hot. Bring everything you need to cook such as salt and pepper and if you drink coffee bring your own filters. This property served our needs but we will choose a different unit the next time we come down.

Reviewer Comments: Broken, worn furniture, small hard bed, rug bubbling up and filthy, ice maker not working, vacuum worthless. Pantry locked so we had to store our food all over the kitchen.The Padre Escapes Staff knew the condo was in poor condition and did nothing to move us to a decent condo. Clearly, they are only concerned with the condo owners and Not the renters.

I wind up sleeping upright in the brown chair, what little sleep I did get. The cushions on the sleeper sofa are very worn out and you sink down into it and it was very uncomfortable as well. The carpet was stained as well. I was not happy with this rental as I was with the one I rented in July.

LOVE El Constante!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Over the last 25 years, we've stayed at El Constante probably 8 times (with big gaps in between vacations to CC). It's been 12 years since our last (my kids were 15 and 10 then) and I couldn't wait to bring them, and my 2yo grandson, back for fourth of July to stay RIGHT on the beach. We all had THE. BEST.TIME. The condo itself is nice and provides everything you might need (except salt/pepper/oil/etc). The pool is nice, the laundromat was clean and the lady at the office was absolutely SO SWEET! We didn't get her name but she answered all our questions, offered suggestions, provided info, and genuinely seemed to enjoy her job, as did the 2 phone reps i spoke with. We can't wait to come back!(I did take video for all my friends to book as well)
