About Chris & Angie

My wife & I have searched high & low for a lake front cottage for years & recently found this wonderful cottage & we are excited to share this with others who love to relax & enjoy the outdoors. We also enjoy kayaking, backpacking, bicycling & traveling.

Chris & Angie purchased this cottage in 2017

Why Chris & Angie chose Crittenden

When arriving here, it's like a switch being flipped & stepping out of the often too busy, everyday society & into a 100% relaxed, stress free world. The drive here is beautiful countryside with traditional large working farms, historical markers as well as local vineyards.

We had a lovely week and enjoyed your cabin on the lake! We Loved drinking coffee every morning on the porch, enjoying Gods beauty! The Kids Loved kayaking across the lake. This lovely house is peaceful and serene and still close enough to enjoy the wonderful attractions such as the Creation Museum , Ark Encounter, Kentucky Horse Farms & Big Bone Lick S.P. Thanks for all the special touches!! We will be recommending this to family & friends.

Stocked with the basics. Great view. Nice rockers on porch. Located between Creation Museum & Ark Encounter. Nice stopping point for us heading to Lake Michigan. Verona Angilio Pizza is nice, reasonable prices & large menu selection. Would definitely stay again for a longer visit. Bring your fishing poles!! Thank you for the lovely spot.

Home is clean, comfortable and welcoming. Has the everyday essentials that are necessary. (Dishes, linens, paper products, etc) We found this to be very helpful. Was VERY PEACEFUL. The view is simply spectacular. The bed comfortable. (After driving 942 miles, that was much appreciated!.. it's the little things!!) Thank you Chris & Angie for your hospitality.

Loved it!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time staying here. The house was delightful and had everything we needed. Our family really enjoyed using the boats to get out on the lake. We would absolutely recommend this place to others. We went to the Ark and Creation museum and this location was perfect for that. Next time we would plan food better as there is almost nothing to eat nearby. Thank you so much for a wonderful time!

The location was fantastic for access to the Creation Museum and the Ark Experience. The cottage was comfortable and offered us a relaxing time away from our busy Work lives. So glad we came. Mindy and David, Cleveland GA

Coming from I-75, take the Crittenden exit head west off exit, immediate Left at the Wendys on hwy 491, go 4.4 miles to Alexander Rd, IT WILL BE THE 3rd Alexander Rd you see, so make sure to check your odometer.
