The villa was designed by the chief architect of Paphos some years ago and built on three terraces of a disused vineyard. The unique design using the several levels provides adaptable accommodation. If only two people are staying in the villa it does not feel too large. When the villa has a larger party the third bedroom is more private being self contained and having the extra sitting room and the kitchen facilities with a quiet private terrace with the views to enjoy. All views to the sea from the different levels of the villa are lovely. The beautiful paved courtyard with wonderful crimson red bougainvillea around the walls, and the lemon blossom, orange and tangerine trees and lots of flowers is something very special.
In front of the villa are two fields that we purchased more than 20 years ago. It cannot be built on and this ensures our wonderful views.
The Cyprus people, especially in Pissouri are very warm, generous, hospitable and friendly. Many locals speak good English but they do enjoy any Greek responses! The Tavernas each have their individual character and all use lots of local fresh produce. The village salads and fried Halloumi cheese are great favourites washed down with a delicious Brandy Sour.
Margarita Villa is a very special villa built in a lovely village.
