NEW REMODEL- We just finished the remodel for this house! Please see the updated picks.
This 6 bedroom, 5.5 bath bath home will sleep most any large group/family with lots of space for everyone to be together, but not on top of each other. The large open living area is the perfect place for a large group to gather, play games and make memories!
A unique feature to this home is the "mother-in-law" suite with it's own bedroom, kitchenette, sitting room, dining and full bathroom. The other 5 bedrooms in the home have direct bedroom to bathroom access. As you'll see on the map, there are no homes directly next door which allows for privacy when you enjoy a evening soak in either one of two hot tubs with views of the 10 Mile Range. This home boasts a large family room area connected to a dining area which allows for everyone to be together in one space. If you need some quite time to yourself, take a break in our sunroom off the apartment.
After scaling your first 14er, if you prefer to continue enjoying the crisp mountain air, just head out to our gigantic patio where you can continue taking in one of Summit County's best, breathtaking views of the 10 Mile Range.
We've also got plenty of parking and direct access to national forest and hiking trails in the back yard. In the winter we recommend 4 wheel or all wheel drive. This is the Rocky Mountains and we can get alot of snow in a short amount of time. The driveway can be slick depending on the conditions.

Beautiful Home, Perfect Vacation!
We spent Spring Break 2018 here and could not have dreamed up a better place to spend our Winter/Ski/Mountain vacation. The home was beautiful, from the moment we stepped in the house everyone's jaw dropped. The view from every window in the house was spectacular; up or down the mountain it was beautiful. Outside there was a huge hill and lots of sleds and a couple of pair of snowshoes, we spent the first 5 hours climbing and sledding down the hill in the back yard. Afterwards we came in and warmed up around the gas fireplace.
The kitchen was HUGE plenty of room for all the groceries that we bought for the week and 2 10 person tables meant that we could all have family dinner together. There was also a bar built right into the island with a 6 burner gas stove so when we had smaller breakfasts (because scheduling didn't always line up) 4-5 people could easily sit down, grab a bite and hit the road. It was an easy walk to the Free-Ride buses that could take you anywhere that you wanted to go in the city all but the final day when a winter-weather warning had us almost snowed in.
Even on the days that it snowed everything was taken care of around the house. By the time we woke up most mornings the hot tub technician was there making sure everything was up and running and cleaned. The driveway was plowed by the time everyone was ready to load up the car if we needed to drive.
Lance was amazing to rent from. There was some confusion when we booked the property but he helped to get everything cleared up. My son left his headphones at the property and Lance shipped them back to us for no charge. Anything we needed, he was incredibly accommodating, and quick to respond. He even gave us a few places to check out to help save money on skiing and tourist-y things. He definitely went above and beyond for his guest.
This was our first time seeing real snow and skiing and the elevation got to us a little. I would definitely recommend the Oxygen bar for anyone that is not used to the Altitude. We spent the first 3-4 days there going to sleep by 7 and not realizing that it was Altitude sickness. Looking back I think we all wish we would have taken more advantage of those first few nights because this place was incredible!
This house was perfect for a large group of 21 - plenty of beds and room for everyone. The two hot tubs were great, and it was so close to the mountain and town
Great and Spacious House
Great and spacious house that was good for our big group for skiiing. Plenty of rooms and bathrooms and the kitchen was well supplied. I would recommend bringing cars having AWD or 4WD if there is snow on the ground since both the road leading up to the house and the steep driveway required us to get chains for our mini vans to make it up. Location is very convenient to the ski slopes and the gondola
Home away from home
We loved this place! As an avid renter on Homeaway I love when a place is exactly as advertised. Plenty of space to spread out and all the kiddos loved the bunk room and mother in law suite. A well stocked kitchen allows you to cook for large numbers. Lance was very responsive to questions and concerns we had. It's not on a bus line to the slopes but we made it work. We hope to be back soon. Thanks Lance!!
Amenities were awesome. Great location. Spacious even for our group of 20
We were there in February for skiing. Only ten minute drive to the Peak 9 parking lot. I would concur with earlier comments that a 4WD vehicle is a must
Gorgeous mountain home
We had an amazing weekend here at the property. There was ample amount of space, and the two hot tubs were perfect. The new finishes and the wood touches gave it even more of a mountain charm. Plenty of enough bathrooms too. Thank you for a great stay! We even got a powder day, which made it even more remarkable.
