We had a wonderful stay. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed for cooking, and the hot tub was clean and perfectly heated. The beds were cozy, and we appreciated having plenty of extra pillows to choose from. The steam shower in the master suite was an unexpected luxury and made the stay feel even more relaxing.
Came out with some friends for our yearly ski trip and had a blast. The property was immaculate and the base of peak 9 is right there! 10/10 would go back.
The house is amazing, beautiful and comfortable. It has everything you need for a perfect stay including the jacuzzi ( perfect in winter). It’s clean and easy to get in to, the shuttle for the peaks really worth it and we enjoy a lot our stay.
Thank you for everything.
We stayed over the New Years holiday. Overall the house was great! Plenty of room for our party of 10. We haven't been to Breckenridge in 10 years and forgot how busy it can be, stay away from the Quicksilver lift at the bottom of peak 9! Although the shuttle service was very convenient with only 1 shuttle running sometimes because of the crowd you will have to wait for 2 or even 3 shuttles (45minutes) I don't know why they do not run at lease 2 shuttles during peak days/times. Also, on the ski out this could be tricky for snowboarders, most the run is flat so you maybe walking. We did not try the ski in.
12 of my friends and I flew in from all over to celebrate my birthday! The house was spacious enough for all of us. Fully equipped with everything we needed from extra towels to kitchen things to extra blankets. It’s a quick 6 minute drive to town. The hot tub was a perfect way to end the night. The beds were super comfy. Big kitchen table for all of us to eat and play games. We even made a fox friend we named Freddy who came to visit us every morning. The owner was quick to respond and even let us check in 2 hours early. Unfortunately, the hot water heater was broken and because it was MDW they couldn’t get the part to fix it. So we had ice cold water all weekend. However, we made the most of it and it became a running joke that we were “glamping in a mansion”. The owner was super accommodating and offered to let us shower at a different location. I would highly recommend this place!!
We all had a great time on our annual ski trip and loved the house but there were a few things we didn't love. The location of the house was amazing and trail access for intermediate skiers was great, beginner skiers access the mountain via the free shuttle which was very convenient. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything you need in a working kitchen. The house was surface clean and is in serious need of a deep clean. Most of the windows were filthy and in need of cleaning. The hot tub didn't have enough water covering the jets so we couldn't really use it. The area around the hot tub hadn't been cleaned in a while as there was random flip flops lying about from past guests. In the end we loved the house and location and would rebook for our next trip.
Very nice home with plenty of space and well stocked kitchen. We made many meals and had all pans needed and all the spices you can imagine already there and local grocery delivered! The ski out was nearly impossible - a long trek, maybe with more snow it might have been ok but seemed like a long way and only for skiers, not snow boarders. Ski in slopes were closed. But the shuttle ran often and worked well for us.
Some damage from previous renters but the owner told us before we arrived and was very responsive.
The house was very well located and has been built very well . My friends and I had a great time staying at this house. Ample room and beds for all. The house has been furnished well and decor was perfect. Excellent choice for friends to meet and have a good time.
This property was perfect for a family trip. Master suite was comfortable for my older parents and the kids loved the bunk beds. Our favorite was the large open kitchen/living area with gorgeous mountain views. My brother who is a chef was very impressed with the kitchen. We had so much fun spending time together while cooking meals. Wonderful place!!
We stayed at the house with a handful of friends for a weekend of skiing. The house was amazing and the pictures were identical to how the house looked. Ski in and ski out was a dream and just a short walk from the house.
The hosts were very communicative and helped give some good restaurant recommendations for our stay. We had an incredible time and hope to visit again in the future.
Group of friends, ten of us stayed at this property for annual ski trip. We found the property just as advertised! Spacious and comfortable with all the amenities we needed. It was pretty cool to have ski in and ski out opportunities albeit only for expert skiers. Half of my friends took the shuttle and the rest we used the bypass. Overall, I would highly recommend the property and also Cindy the owner. She was very easy to work with. Thank you/
This home is impressive and massive! Great separation and privacy between bedrooms . Great location to Main Street, however it is not walkable. Main living room furniture is worn, yet doable. Definitely worth renting if you have a large group, as there truly are many sleeping areas!!
Disappointing stay and attempts to reconcile ignored
Big disappointment and main issues were house cleanliness, attitude to problems from owner and this house is not ski in/ski out from peak 9. I'll elaborate on all below.
A skier could easily ski into Breck using Burro trail and peak 9. In order to get back you have to access peak 10 and ski black diamond expert only trails. I'm an amateur blues only skier and more importantly we took my 3 year old son and 4 year old nephew. We had to drive to the mountain every day which was about a 10-15 minute ride through d-town Breck to the kid lesson area at peak 9. If this had been the only issue we would not have raised the complaint.
2nd, there were things advertised on the listing that were not available in the home and when I texted the homeowner she blamed the previous guests. There was no cable tv - everyone was excited for the Sat afternoon Colorado Aves game. We noticed the listing was updated while we were in the home. Also, I asked the homeowner to give us notice on when the tech would be there as I was planning to get the little kids and infant out of the house for covid. She ignored that request. Sent someone over unannounced, the tech had no clue how to fix tv and I suggested taking the roku from the master so that there was SOMETHING in the main room. I could have done that myself though so this was annoying. The kids all masked up and went in the loft for over a half an hour while this went on.
We had planned meals ahead and packed our sous vide. After I shoveled about a foot of snow off of the filthy deck (uncovering various litter and spatulas) we discovered the grill was broken and gross. There was no binder and the home owner kept referring to this binder. Even the tech asked me if there was one when he could not figure out the television. It's like the house has been half cleaned for the last few years and it added up.
Little issues included, empty beer cans and bottles near hot tub, empty coors light boxes on upstairs deck, a contact lens crusted to a toilet seat, no shoveling of the outside areas, 9 NON programmed/working clocks - the only clock in the entire house that was set was the oven and I'm nursing a newborn so this was annoying, the 2 car garage was so messy that we could only park one car inside, and some gross pacifiers were in the kids rooms, and my favorite 432 place mates but not one single dish towel.
I tried corresponding with the owner but she wrote back once and has gone silent. I would not waste my money.
The process to rent was very easy. I am technically challenged and I was able to book reservation and communicate with the property manager. Responded quickly which I appreciated. Thanks
The house was perfect for our ski vacation! Very roomy to accommodate our large family.

About the host

We are a family of four who have fallen in love with skiing at Breckenridge! Our children learned skiing at the Peak 8 Ski School and have been hooked ever since. We love spending time in our mountain home, especially with all of our friends and family. We're excited to be able to open our home to others as well, and share the magic of Breckenridge. We also have a 2BR condo at the base of Peak 9 in The Village - VRBO 153242.
Why they chose this property
We fell in love with the house at first viewing! It was the perfect mix of residential and wild for us--just a mile up the mountain from Main Street, but surrounded by various nature trails to hike. In summers, the Burro Trail along Blue River is an easy short walk to town! In winter, we love the convenience of the ski-in/ski-out trail, and the sense of community with all the other skiers and boarders in the neighbourhood. We also have the added convenience of using the free Shuttle that services our neighbourhood only--it sure beats trying to drive down in the middle of ski season!
Our first vacation here included three families and six small kids; over ten years later, we still think fondly of all the amazing memories we made on that trip. With multiple levels and plenty of nooks to find peace and quiet, the kids were able to find tons of ways to entertain themselves. They were all able to play together and bond as cousins. It really was a dream trip, and a special experience we think so many families will enjoy.
What makes this property unique
All of our dream features are included with the property- ski-in/ski out, outdoor jacuzzi, breathtaking mountain views and outdoor decks to enjoy them, a two car garage, and plenty of room for everyone to have a bed. We can jump in the car and be on Main Street in five minutes, but more often than not we enjoy spending our down-time here at the house.
