This is a fantastic holiday retreat on White Cross Bay. Superbly designed and delightfully furnished to offer a beautiful holiday lodge for up to 6 guests in three bedrooms plus one tiny tot in a travel cot.

As soon as you step through the door to Betteridge View you will know instantly that this is the place to be for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Beautifully presented, this stunning lodge along with a fantastic outside area complete with rooftop terrace and lake views will be a firm favourite for many years to come. We think you will love this place as much as we do!

Amazing stay

We had a wonderful stay at Betteridge View. The weather was not the best but it didn't matter at all. The lodge was clean, well stocked with everything you need for a self catering break. We would certainly recommend the lodge and we will certainly book again. Thank you.

Had a lovely weekend

Enjoyed our 3 night stay at this lodge only fault was the master bedroom door wouldn’t close and we had to prop a suitcase behind it to keep it shut other than that everything good

Great location lovley comfortable lodge

Really enjoyed our stay and had beautiful weather will definitely be coming back . Lovley and clean we had an issue with the fridge not coming on but after a phone call it was sorted out straight away

Looking forward to our next Betteridge Adventure

Betteridge View is a really lovely Lodge with the added bonus of the Sun Terrace via the Spiral Staircase. It's a 'Talking Point' as clients from the surrounding properties stop to admire it if you're sitting on the Decking having a glass of wine on a glorious evening. We did experience a couple of issues during our stay but they were quickly attended to by Chris.

What a wonderful lodge. We couldn't have been happier with our choice. The lodge was well equipt, modern, clean, cosy ! We are already planning our next visit. Lots to do and see in the area. Highly recommended.

Fabulous Lodge in a great location

From the moment we stepped inside, we were all very impressed with Betteridge View. It's in excellent condition and everything we needed was provided. The location on the site is perfect; only a moment to the lakes edge and a few minutes walk to the reception area. The only slight niggles were the ensuite bedroom door handle was broken on arrival. There were quite a few wasps in several places around the eaves which although they didn't bother us could have been a nuiscence in hotter weather. That said, we intend to book the same lodge again next year.....

Superb stay at Betteridge

The family and I were delighted overall. All you could need included. Will definitely book again. Clean, tidy and lovely inside. Mattress in main bedroom was a little hard,but it's personal preference. Wrong size duvet on the bed also, but we got by. Good location within the park. Ideal for a break.

Beautiful Lodge on a beautiful site

Really enjoyed our stay at your beautiful lodge despite the weather meaning couldn’t really use the upstairs roof terrace. Fiancée, kids and dogs loved it too. Really spacious living area, spotless clean and beds were comfortable. Only minor issues were main bedroom, handle was coming off door meaning couldn’t close it and not much room at sides of bed to manoeuvre. Cupboard doors wouldn’t open fully because of it and my fiancée struggled with getting out of bed as has mobility issues and if weather was better she probably wasn’t able to use roof terrace anyway as spiral stairs are quite steep. Overall it was one of the best lodges we have stayed in. Great facilities in lodge and on site. Including a takeaway service from the restaurant which was great for those heavy rain nights. Ideal position for bowness and Ambleside and would book again.

Excellent lodge in a beautiful setting in the heart of the lakes

The lodge is absolutely stunning with everything you need for a break away and more. It is in pristine condition and very spacious with 3 good size bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Perfect for a family get away and pup friendly too. With access to Lake Windermere for morning walks where you can see the mist rising over the mountains is spectacular. The park itself is conveniently located for ease of access to Windermere, Ambleside, Keswick and other areas. Communication prior to arrival was perfect and meant we found the site immediately. Will definitely return

Excellent stay

We loved our stay at Betteridge Lodge. It was the perfect place to come back to and relax after a day spent walking, being spacious, clean, warm and comfortable-not to mention beautifully decorated! The fairy lights are so pretty. We have previously stayed at a couple of other places on the same site and this is easily the best. Shower was good pressure and temperature. Kitchen was great-the fridge was a good size and the microwave and oven were easy to use. Could just do with a few more items, e.g. some baking trays (eg for cooking pizza), a washing-up bowl for the sink and there was only one wooden board (which we used for bread), so could do with another one or two chopping boards for onions / vegetables or meat prep. We also really enjoyed the unexpected bonus of the keyboard and piano books-a couple of us play, so this was great! Also fantastic to be able to walk down to the lake which was beautiful and very calming. The top bunk mattress could do with a new mattress as it had some sharp springs which meant my daughter ended up reluctantly moving beds (she loved the cosiness of it otherwise). And the one cracked tile in the main bathroom looks like it will need replacing soon before it becomes a hazard. But these are small points - it really was a fantastic place to stay, we are already thinking about when we can come back!
