Expansive and airy, the Bear Room at Kiwassa Lake B&B, an Adirondack B&B, is located on the second floor, and is our only suite in the B&B with a fireplace and the only room that can accommodate up to four guests. This Adirondack suite is simple, elegant and tasteful with eastern exposure ensuring a bright and sunny morning. The decor is casual and contemporary influence meld with an emphasis on the Adirondacks. Guests of the Bear Room sleep below a life size bear rug hanging from the knotty pine interior while enjoying a relaxing, roaring fire. Located on the second floor, the eastern-facing windows look to Adirondack Kiwassa maples and forested acreage. For quiet nights, there is a sitting area in the Bear Room.
All rates are per night for 2 guests and the rate includes a full breakfast served at 9am. Extra guests in the Bear Room (max total occupancy is 4 people) are $50/per person extra per night. Rates may be higher or lower than what is shown. Any misrepresentation of facts will void any arrangements heretofore made. Weekend nightly minimums: Weekends from June 1st through September 30th are subject to a 2-night minimum. Holiday and event weekends subject to a 3-night minimum and include but are not limited to Martin Luther King Weekend, President's Weekend, Winter Carnival, Columbus Day, Ironman, etc… Extra guests beyond the maximum occupancy is disallowed and children/infants each count as one person. Guests arriving with more than 4 people will be turned away without a refund.
Kiwassa Lake B&B is an Adirondack waterfront Bed and Breakfast in Saranac Lake. The B&B is so close to the water's edge that guests feel like they're staying in a luxury boathouse. The B&B is conveniently located three miles from Saranac Lake and 10 miles from Lake Placid in the Adirondack Mountains. The property is nestled on twenty wooded acres at the end of a dead end road on the water's edge of Lake Kiwassa. The B&B has four guest suites each with a private bath and wireless Internet access. There is a guest kitchen located on the second floor of the main house to refrigerate drinks or snacks.
On property, guests have seen amazing wildlife including Adirondack birds, eagles, loons, etc. Amazing fishing abounds with pike, bass, etc waiting for you. Boating is ample with over 23 miles of waterways through the Saranac Chain of Lakes through Lower Saranac Lake, Middle Saranac Lake, Lake Flower in the Village of Saranac Lake, etc…
Up for an Adirondack Adventure?
After, during or apart from your stay, take a canoe/camping trip. Park your car at the cabin property and transportation will be arranged for you, your gear, including canoe/kayak, at Lower or Middle Saranac Lake where camping is available on an Adirondack island. At that point, your adventure will begin! Navigate your way back to Kiwassa Lake through the Lower Saranac Lake locks including, if you desire, a night camping during your trek back. Camping will need to be arranged by you but if you're interested, we can direct you to the reservation site.
Adirondack gift baskets can be ordered for your stay & can be delivered on the day that you choose with, at a minimum, two days advanced notice. All Adirondack gift baskets are custom made and can be customized upon request. Choose from the following or email us with your request and price quote.
-Adirondack basket: $85 (Locally produced products to enjoy during your stay. Includes one bottle of Swedish Hill wine harvested in Cayuga Lake, two wine glasses, assortment of Candy Man Chocolate from Wilmington, local Maple Syrup and cocktail napkins.)
- Adirondack Beer Basket: $85 (A basket bursting with a six pack sampler of brew from the Lake Placid Pub & Brewery, chips, salsa, nuts, Slim Jims, beef jerky, a beer mug and cocktail napkins.)
-Fresh flowers: $50+ and depends on arrangement
