Close to New River Gorge

We came to West Virginia to do the Bridge walk at New River Gorge and hike the area. This was the perfect location. The apartment had everything we needed for our stay, even coffee and snacks.

Whitewater Rafting Trip

The apartment was cozy, clean and well stocked. The host left snacks on the table as well for the guests. Those came in handy after a very long day on the river whitewater rafting! We would definitely stay here again!

Nice cozy (but not fancy!) apartment. If you like older houses with character you will be fine. The location is great for access to the Ace Resort - only about 8 minutes away by car. We enjoyed the porch at the top of the stairs. We walked around the sleepy town and ate at the nearby One Ten Diner (good food!).

We enjoyed our stay in Oak Hill. This property is walkable to the main street with a few small local businesses, including diners. The place was great and had all the amenities we expected. The only concern was the ability to hear the people on the ground floor very easily. This was only really an issue one night when we went to bed

Little Slice of Heave

This property is so cute! We stayed for 4 nights while visiting ACE, which was 5 minutes away. The place was super clean and quiet. The Kitchen made our trip so much better, and less expensive! We stopped at the little grocery down the street and made every meal at the condo. After long days of rafting, this place was so nice to come home to. It’s obviously well taken care of. I would recommend to anyone.

We will definitely stay here again. It's close to everything and was clean. Loved having washer/dryer, outside deck, covered deck, and large backyard with fire pit. Even provided wood and smores kit! Also provided paper towels, kitchen soap and sponge, TP, coffee, shampoo and conditioner, and basic groceries (milk, eggs, creamer, butter, mustard, etc.) perfect for my husband, me, and our two toddlers. The garage apartment directly behind the cottage was perfect for our friends as well!

Just what we needed!

We stayed in Oak Hill during a 2 week national park road trip. This property was a perfect home base for our rafting adventures in New River Gorge NP. The property was clean, conveniently located to grocery store, restaurants, the rafting company, and other sites within the national park. The host left us a note and some snacks which made us feel right at home immediately. Beds were so comfy. It might be good to know that if you run the ceiling fan in the bunk bed room, the person sleeping on the top bunk might need to be careful not to get caught on the fan blades. We just turned the fan off in that room during the night, so it wasn't an issue. We did have an individual (the host or their cleaning crew I'm not sure) knock on the door to reset the apartment a few minutes prior to checkout. We were still trying to finish packing, make sure the dishes were clean and the trash taken down to the bin, plus deal with our crying child, so that was a little stressful. Thankfully the host was kind enough to go work on a different unit while we got it together. : ) All in all, our family was very happy with this stay and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone wanting a more homey, cozy experience near the park.

Excellent digs for an extended stay. Relaxing.

The dog park was a negative for us as we are not pet people. However, that is the only concern which would not keep us from a repeat booking. Over all the Tree House is an excellent stay.

We are a family of 4, plus one dog . We live in Fayetteville and love all the area has to offer with all the outdoor activities. I am a physician and my husband is a teacher , we have two children. We originally lived in the house on the property of this apartment for 3 years and loved living in Oak Hill but soon outgrew the house. We have rented in the past for long term use but as tenants come and go they don't take the best care of your property. 2017 we decided to change the property into vacation rentals, its a great location and know that our property will be taken care of.

Why they chose this property

This apartment is in a good location for all Fayette County has to offer. The area is close to outdoor activities and has easy access. The town Oak Hill is small and quiet.

What makes this property unique

We call it the tree house because you feel like you are up in the trees. The apartment has architectural features and charm. It has a porch for relaxing on and a yard area complete with fence, and grill.
