Brand new 4100 sq ft home finished in July 2017. Everything is huge, each bedroom consist of a large walk in closet and on suite bathroom and tub. Master is what you would expect, large walk in shower, duel sinks, toilet bidet, walk in closet, TV, King size bed. There are two decks, an upper deck with no roof for sunbathing or just relaxing, middle deck off the living area with a spiral staircase down to the ground. The House is called Two Foot because of the location, the unofficial recreation area we call Two Foot has been a hot spot for 25 years or more. Boats anchor there to be able to walk around in the Two Foot water, usually around 50-100 boats are there during any given weekend. Fishing off the dock is good sometimes depending on the weather. Usually early and late in the evening. The property is a couple of doors down from one of the most famous country music entertainers in the world. It's a possibility you may see her but please do not approach.

About Ronnie Haislip
Semi retired car dealer who loves this old lake. I, along with my son have been coming here on weekends for many, many years. My wife and I live on an 83 acre farm about 25 miles from the lake house. We have cows, horses, donkeys, ducks, chickens, etc. Several of our animals are rescues from different situation, even the ducks and chickens :) I don't know how many barn cats we have, they are everywhere :) We have 3 dogs, 2 Pitbulls, Bruce and Stella and a Shepherd mix, Petie. They are our kids :) The lake house is my weekend retreat in the summer time. My wife has to stay and take care of the critters. I have a small apartment downstairs at the lake house. I'll be there some weekends. Look for me.
Ronnie Haislip purchased this House in 1989
Why Ronnie Haislip chose Mount Juliet
It was handed down by family
What makes this House unique
It's one of the few level lots on the lake where you can play recreational sports, picnic, etc on a level lot. The backyard lake is a weekend gathering spot for local boaters we call 2 Foot, that's where the house name came from.

A wonderful property! Beautiful views. Clean, modern and very spacious. A great find.
We were very pleased with this lovely home. Close enough to all the action in Nashville but enjoyed the scenic views this home offered. Best of both worlds.
I always enjoy having guest, I hate I wasn't in town to meet you. Maybe next time. Thank you for being such wonderful guest.
I wish it hadn't have rained so much before your visit. I have a lot of landscaping plans in the future. Hopefully they will be finished in a few weeks.
Spacious, BEAUTIFUL Old Hickory Lake home with great view in convenient location to Nashville area!
We had an amazing, relaxing time in Ronnie's beautiful lake house over Spring Break... the house is recently-built, and it shows! The construction is top-notch, with beautiful sweeping ceilings and lake views from the main living area, amazing endless kitchen space, and roomy bedrooms with bathrooms and walk-in closets galore! Everything is finished in relaxing, modern colors and the house is filled with light even with no lights on... this combined with a street that is quiet and low-traffic, in an area that is just a couple miles from the main roads but feels a million miles away, contributes to a definite "getting away from it all" vacation feeling.
However, if you're not the "vacationing" type and prefer to see and do as much as possible, the house is also conveniently located for excursions to the many sights and sounds of the Nashville area! Most locations in the most westerly Nashville metro are reachable in under an hour, and downtown is only 35-40 minutes away depending on where you're trying to go.
We were there with young-ish children (9 & 5), and there were plenty of things to keep us busy that were under 45 minutes away... we highly recommend:
- The Parthenon
- The Nashville Zoo
- Belle Meade Plantation
- The Adventure Science Center (the mother of all "Children's Museums")
Since the house is on the lake with its own dock, you could bring/rent a boat (which we didn't do), or simply play/fish (which we DID do). The fishing is perfect for young children with good-sized panfish, but adults who are serious fishermen/women will likely want to get out on the water in a boat. :)
I would HIGHLY recommend this home for a quiet getaway in a very serene setting, with activities and options for exploring the area. Ronnie is a gracious host and will make sure you feel welcomed. Would give 6 stars if I could! :)
That's very nice, Thank you!
This will become the most popular rental on OHL
I live here locally in the Nashville area, and wanted to treat myself to a promotion vacation, but did not have time to go away anywhere far. So I came upon this amazing house, and to say it exceeded all expectations is an understatement. The house is new, and beautifully done from top to bottom. The only real negative is that because it's new construction, the grass has not grown in everywhere yet. But I will take that over any real issues any day of the week. A little mud on my shoes didn't matter because the front and back porches were perfect. The owner is very nice, and invited me and my guests to the local marina club as comp guests (no cover charge). He keeps the property clean and offered to take me to the marina on his jet ski to pick up my boat. He went way above and beyond. Not only would I recommend this property to everyone I know, I would insist that if you come to Nashville and are looking for the best lakeside house, your search should start and end here.
We did bring a boat and they were gracious enough to let us use their dock. But had a lot of fun swimming out to 2 Foot Cove (main area is 50' from the dock). I swam with a cocktail in my hand. My nieces, 9 and 11, swam it with no issue, too. If We can do that, anyone can swim it. Bring water shoes so you can walk around in the water.
House does have some basic tv options, but if you're thinking you're gonna get every channel like back home, you won't. But once you sit on the back porch, you won't care. Tvs are very nice and has Netflix, and watching Ozarks lakeside was surreal and awesome.
To sum it all up - this place is a no brainer. Great location (2 doors down from Dolly Parton's lake house), beautiful home, and the friendliest (and most helpful) owner I've ever met.
If you don't book this place, you're dumb.
Wow, what a nice review. Bo was and is what every home owner would like to have, he and his group of family and friends were just that, family and friends to everyone. He and his group were very respectful of my home and most importantly of my neighbors. I could keep going but what all home owners want to know is how their property will be treated and if we would rent again and the answer is a solid yes.
They are my third rental and I'm really enjoying my guest. I stay in a little efficiency apartment down stairs (it is a 3 level home) and my guest have the upper two floors. It's really nice meeting new people every week. The home was completed mid July 2017 so I haven't had much time for guest to book. I'm looking forward to next summer, hopefully they will be just as great as Bo and my previous guest.
Pontoon boats available for rental at several local marinas close to the house. Keep in mind we have a covered dock with a ski boat lift, the Pontoon boat will not work inside the dock. We can make arrangements for the boat if we know before hand.
