The cabana is ok for the price. Some small bugs in the kitchen area, but there was a can of bug spray available. The pillows and mattress top are very stains and should be cleaned or replaced.

The downstairs of Rough Rider Inn (the garden unit) was as described. It's very spacious and well-equipped with A/C and a kitchen fully kitted with dishes, flatware, a purified water dispenser, a mini fridge, and a microwave. I don't think I used the wifi as I had full cell service and free roaming with my carrier, but they have the network info clearly displayed in the living room. It is in a quiet area on the south side of the island near the airport and a bit of a walk from the water taxi terminal and main activity of the island. There was a bar around the corner that played loud music until pretty late, but I could barely hear it from the bedroom with the fan running. The only minor negatives I'll point out are that the yard was quite soggy from the recent rains so it was difficult to avoid stepping in puddles, and the showerhead was a little wonky perhaps from calcification (but still operable, and the water was blessedly hot) - again, these are minor issues and what I think are just facts of tropical island life, but I've read many reviews of many properties on Caye Caulker where people complain about such things, so I want to level-set expectations for other travelers. I also had an issue with the A/C acting possessed (turning itself on and off without my interference), but the property manager was very quick to respond and send someone out to reset the circuit. If you're okay with the walk (or bike or taxi) into the village, I highly recommend this spot!

'on-a-budget' location...don't expect much!

VERY disappointing; admittedly booked on a budget, but we were expecting a decent location. Provided pics are sooo deceiving...Not much cooking possibility with the provided cookware. Bed mattress and/or box spring should have been updated YEARS ago! Kitchen furniture falling apart, with not much organization for doing the dishes. Although you had mentioned no bike avail, they were there, but if you can't fix and maintain the bikes, just get rid of them (ended up renting for 2 days)! We've had much better locations with your competitor...as well as NOT knowing we would have to deal with a 'third party', Vacasa...not worth the headache and will strongly reconsider using your service after this bad first experience!Regards, Benoit

This place was very peaceful, bikes were a plus, if you rent from this please use bug spray, lots of mosquitos it's not the property's fault, the entire Island has mosquitos, the apartment was super clean, AC was was on when we arrive which was awesome.

Alittle ways from main area, has bikes to use which makes a nice bike ride. It's a very nice comfy home atmosphere. Owner was living upstairs during our visit, would not know he was there.. 😀. Quiet location. Easy check in, great communication and wonderful service from Rual and staff. Would stay there again.

Great place to call home for a week of adventures in Caye Caulker. Near the airport so you can fly in and out easily, rent bikes with a basket and it makes the commute to the split about 5-10 minutes.
