We love a town stay, and Burford is one of the Cotswolds’ most historic towns, known for its sloping High Street, medieval bridge and traditional stone buildings. From Hill View, everything is within easy walking distance, whether you’re browsing independent shops, stopping in for a coffee, or settling into a pub for a proper Sunday lunch.
The River Windrush runs through the town and offers peaceful walking routes, while the surrounding countryside opens out into rolling hills and classic village scenery. If you fancy it, you’re not far from Jeremy Clarkson’s Diddly Squat Farm and The Farmer’s Dog pub, both popular stops for visitors to the area, so plan accordingly.
The wider Cotswolds are easily explored from here, with destinations such as Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold and the award-winning Daylesford all within a short drive.
Cirencester is around 30 minutes’ drive away and offers further shopping, restaurants and markets, while Kemble Station provides direct trains into London for longer stays or weekend visits.

About the host
Hosted by Be.Here.
We're a boutique property management company called Be.Here. with a hand-picked collection of exceptional homes in the Cotswolds. Every property in our portfolio has been personally selected, styled and maintained to a high standard, because we believe the space you stay in genuinely shapes the quality of your break. We're not a listing agency; we manage every home directly, which means consistent quality, attentive service and a team that's always on hand when you need us.
Why they chose this property
The Cotswolds is famous for good reason: the rolling hills, the picture-perfect villages, the honey-coloured cottages that seem to deepen in colour by late afternoon.
What tends to surprise people is everything else. Cheltenham Jazz Festival pulls a line-up you'd expect from a much larger city, and the Royal International Air Tattoo at Fairford is one of the great spectacles of the British summer. Theatres, galleries, antique shops and the kind of coffee stops worth a detour are scattered across the region, often in places you wouldn't think to look.
Daylesford Organic started as a farmshop and has quietly become something closer to a country estate you can spend the day inside, spa included. The Bull at Charlbury does a Sunday roast worth planning the weekend around. Aynhoe Park, since Restoration Hardware took it on, is somewhere between a country house and an art installation. The Cotswold Lakes are a world of their own, lodges on the water, paddleboards waiting for you, room to explore and room to do nothing at all.
This is our neighbourhood. So whether you're after a dog-friendly weekend of long walks and pub fires, a five-star house with a hot tub overlooking a lake, or somewhere to base yourself for a festival weekend, welcome. We're here to help.
What makes this property unique
Be.Here. is a collection of homes built for the kind of short stay that actually feels like one. Each one is different in setting, character, and shape of weekend, but they share the same quiet instinct for what a good break needs.
Nothing is left to chance. We've stayed in enough short-let homes to know which details matter, and we build every Be.Here. home around the ones that do.
Because a short break should feel like a real one. Whether you're here on your own with a book, around a long table with friends, or somewhere in between, the home should disappear into the background and let the weekend happen. That's the art of a great stay.
