About Al or Karen Davis
We built this cozy, custom log cabin for vacationers who want to enjoy the beautiful Gatlinburg-like surroundings 20 minutes to downtown Nashville. We have always enjoyed nature and wildlife but also wanted to be close to the modern conveniences that a city like Nashville has to offer, as well as the charm of a rural backdrop.
Al or Karen Davis purchased this House in 2017
Why Al or Karen Davis chose Bellevue
Beautiful log home, decorated in an equestrian theme. In a wooded area perfect for a Tennessee feel and relaxing environment. We fell in love with the area and bought the land in 2015. The location is beautiful yet very convenient to many of the Nashville amenities. In fact, it is a 20 minute highway drive to downtown Nashville and all it has to offer. About 10 minutes from Bellevue, Westmeade, Bellemeade and Natchez Trace
What makes this House unique
Some of the lumber used was from a turn-of-the century dairy barn, including a timber that holds the stairway landing. And the barn doors we crafted were milled from the trees where the cabin now stands. These include Mockernut Hickory, Green Ash, and White Oak.

Great stay close to everything, but still outside the city.
The property is basically new and in great condition.
We had a wonderful stay in this charming and well appointed cabin. The cabin is lovely and very comfortable. It was larger than options in downtown Nashville. We enjoyed the quiet location approximately 20 minutes outside of town. Groceries and small restaurants are located about 10 minutes away down a secondary road.
Great Get Away
The cabin was first rate. I would definitely stay there again.
A perfect getaway
The house is beautifully constructed, decorated and appointed, and immaculate; the bedrooms each have their own tone and appeal; the kitchen is nicely put together (though it was hard to make chicken saltimbocca and focaccia for the same meal, multitasking a casserole dish); and the location is blissfully peaceful. (We saw a badger systematically foraging, and on another day an eagle.) An easy half-hour drive to downtown Nashville--a simply terrific stay!
Nice cabin just close enough to Nashville but still away from the city
Stayed for a couples weekend in Nashville area. Was about 20 minutes or so to downtown so we liked the location in the country. As a plus, we found we were basically a straight 15 minute shot down to the Loveless Cafe, where we went a couple times.
Place was nice, fairly new (looks like they're just finishing aesthetics and such here and there) and clean. Bedrooms are big. Living room is a bit tight but worked well for the four of us. Another couple would have had to sit at the kitchen table if we had more on this trip. Bathrooms were nice and clean. Mostly meant for one person at a time based on the size, but it doesn't feel overly cramped either.
It was wet and a bit chilly out so we didn't spend time outside, so I can't comment much on that. Probably very pretty in the summer through winter months.
Only needed to ask the owner one question about checkout and he got back to me very quickly. Nice guy.
Overall we would stay there again. Maybe not the ideal cabin for little kids (4 and under) due to the stairs, but that's my opinion. Good place though for couples getaway.
My wife and I met our great friends from Florida for a 4 day weekend, as Nashville was centrally located. This cabin is absolutely great. The seclusion, proximity to Nashville, the comfort.. I could go on and on. The description and pictures do not do just to this cabin. We will be returning in the future. I'd give 10 stars if available.
