About this property
Historic Maple Street Dairy-Charm and Convenience in Stowe Village
Located in the heart of one of New England's most vibrant villages, the Maple Street Dairy exudes country charm while offering travelers a Vermont take on Alpine chic.
This well-preserved 1830's farmhouse, with wide plank flooring and beautiful winding staircase, is part of a compound which was the Maple Street Dairy, the first dairy in Stowe. It is within easy walking distance of numerous shops, restaurants, and recreational amenities. World class downhill skiing at Stowe Mountain Resort is just a 12 minute drive away, or if you don't want to drive to the slopes, you can hop on the ski shuttle which stops just down the street.
With three bedrooms and two full baths, the home comfortably sleeps 6 in the upstairs bedrooms. If you need more heads in beds, two more can sleep on the sectional sofa in the den downstairs. Two separate living and dining areas provide a spacious environment for apre-ski lounging for adults and kids. HDTV, DVD player, wireless internet access, and plenty of board games and puzzles are provided to keep you connected and entertained.
The property owners, who live on site behind the farmhouse in the renovated barn, are dog lovers and know many guests don't want to have to leave their dog behind when they go on vacation. One well-behaved dog is permitted and more are negotiable. Stowe's famed recreation path and off-leash Quiet Path are both great places to walk or ski with your dog nearby.

Why they chose this property
Being in Stowe village is great because you have easy access to nature along the recreation path but you can also walk to all the village amenities. Maple Street is one of the few areas of Stowe with a real neighborhood feel. In the winter, you can also access the snowmobile path right out the back door!
What makes this property unique
The Maple Street Dairy is located alongside other well-maintained historic residences in Stowe, within walking distance of all of the amenities of Stowe village. This is a perfect location for skiers and non-skiers alike, so that some in the group can take the ski shuttle to the mountain in the morning, while others have use of the car. Or if some drive up, the others are not stuck at a remote location, but can walk into the village to shop or eat.
