This characterful, locally constructed lodge offers a warm welcome to couples seeking a relaxing holiday home in an idyllic part of the Isle of Wight. Sitting alongside four quiet fishing lakes, the property makes an ideal spot for anglers and walkers, with miles of peaceful countryside nearby. The cabin lies on the fringes of the bustling town of Newport, offering a host of fabulous pubs, cafes, shops and restaurants. Following the River Medina north, the popular resort of Cowes (6.5 miles) is famous for its annual regatta. Also to the north is Queen Victoria’s magnificent former home on the Osborne Estate (4.5 miles). A lovely beach can be found along the coast in the thriving seaside town of Ryde (6 miles). Other local attractions include Butterfly World, Monkey Haven, Wight Military and Heritage Museum, and Carisbrooke Castle (all within 4 miles).


Climb a couple of external steps to this cosy, cheerful lodge and before you step inside, take a moment to absorb the surrounding scenery of greenery and peaceful lakes. Head inside to find that the rural cheer continues in the form of a vibrant open-plan living space that combines a sumptuous lounge with a chic kitchen and dining space. Offering the perfect base to recharge between days of adventure, the cosy lounge area beckons with its comfy seating, Smart TV and gleaming French doors that can be left open on balmy days to let the countryside air flow in. When stomachs rumble, find all you need in the compact but well-appointed kitchen to cook up a feast, then dine at the round table inside or al fresco-style outside when the weather permits. At the end of each busy day away, retire to the characterful king-size bedroom and start the next morning with a refreshing soak in the shower room.


From the main living area, French doors open out onto a charming decked area with outdoor furniture and a BBQ, offering a relaxing spot for you to sit out and take in the views over the lake. Just around the corner, a private gravelled space has a further seating area doubling as a daybed, with a bar and drinks cooler, plus an outdoor shower and a welcoming hot tub. For keen anglers, the site has four tranquil fishing lakes. There’s a designated car parking space, with further space available if necessary. Please note the parking area is 100 metres from the property – a trolley is provided for carrying your luggage.
