3 BR, 4 Bath With Stunning Views - Just Minutes to Nat'l Park
LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION! Unlike many rental cabin resort areas that have cabins 'right next door' our cabin is situated on five private acres, on the stunning Cove Mountain. This means you aren't looking out onto the roofs of other cabins, nor looking to the right and left of you only to see other cabin decks/porches. It makes you feel secluded although you are close to all of the attractions and conveniences of the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area. Our cabin is right on the edge of Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Situated in Wears Valley, TN, about 9 miles from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, this cabin is in an ideal location that many cabin and chalet rentals do not offer.
Our log cabin is truly all natural wood (there is NO sheet rock anywhere in this cabin). Our cabin is very spacious (about 2400 sq ft). There are three levels of living space. The main level has two bedrooms, each with a queen bed and private bathroom, the living room has HDTV/LCD satellite TV, stone fireplace and open concept kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is well equipped with new stainless steel appliances. There is a large deck off the main living area, with plenty of rocking chairs and a porch swing to enjoy the breathtaking views. The space boasts floor to ceiling windows, which makes you feel as if you are floating in the clouds. The views from every room in the cabin are absolutely spectacular.
The upper floor is a loft style, with high ceilings and plenty of natural light, which means amazing views from every angle. There are two queen beds on the loft level, and a full bath.
The lower level boasts an entire wall of glass with doors to a beautiful deck. The deck features log chairs for relaxing, and a warm and a brand new jacuzzi that looks out into the valley. On this level there is a full bath, two queen size sleeper sofas, a pool table, and an HDTV/LCD TV with satellite, video games.
Although our cabin is located very high on the mountain, the roads are all well paved thus providing easy access.
Our cabin may be very secluded, but it is very convenient in that it is not too far from everything in town. There is a gas station (with groceries) at the foot of the mountain and a Kroger grocery store that is only about 10 minutes away. Being so close to the national park entrance means you can take the “scenic route” to downtown Gatlinburg, bypassing the Parkway if you so desire. If you want to go to Pigeon Forge, the parkway is a less than 10-minute drive. Shopping malls, premium outlets, restaurants, antique and craft shops, and plenty of attractions are a short drive away. If the crowded areas of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge have zapped your energy, relax on the deck of Next Step Heaven, and listen to nature around you.
Many hiking trails are located near the cabin site, as well as what the National Park has to offer. Trout fishing, horse back riding, mountain biking, and white water rafting are other great adventures to seek while staying at the cabin.
**Pet Policy: The owners are committed to offering our cabin to guests traveling with their dog(s). We are volunteer foster parents for rescue dogs and know that they are a member of the family. However, in order to bring your dog, you MUST provide proof of vaccinations, flea/tick medication, etc. Due to insurance coverage restrictions, ALL dogs must be crate trained, and crated when you are not in the cabin. There are NO exceptions to this rule. For more information on the pet policy, please contact Michelle.

About Michelle Salyers
Next Step Heaven is owned by Dennis and Michelle Salyers, of Ironton, Ohio. Dennis owns a large commercial and industrial contracting business in Ohio. Dennis and Michelle live on a 200+ acre farm, where they raise and breed registered Dexter Cattle (miniature cattle). They also have five rescued horses, and foster horses for their local Equine Rescue. Michelle is a national and regional volunteer for an animal rescue organization, so she and Dennis routinely 'host' foster dogs, and, have a large canine brood of their own. Dennis and Michelle honeymooned in Gatlinburg, TN in 2007, and fell in love with the amazing mountain views, fresh air, and relaxation of 'cabin life' so they were determined to own a little piece of 'Heaven' one day. That dream came true when they found 'Next Step Heaven' in September of 2012. They took ownership of the Cabin on October 12, 2012. Since purchasing the cabin, Michelle has updated many features in the cabin, including all new furniture and decor, new stainless steel appliances in the kitchen, and, a brand new hot tub was installed on the lower deck in May 2014. The goal is for our guests to feel comfortable, and to make Next Step Heaven their home away from home.

Why Michelle Salyers chose Sevierville
The views are second to none, and the location is superior. It's so close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, yet far enough away that you feel you have truly escaped the hustle and bustle.

The cabin was very clean. The beds were comfortable, and very cozy atmosphere.
We enjoyed all the amenities it offered. Family friendly and fun. Great place for a Smokie Mountain experience.
A Happy New Year
Our group has been renting cabins for the past nine years to celebrate New Year's Eve (five humans plus one cocker spaniel). This cabin was definitely one of the best: Roomy layout and perfectly furnished. Well-stocked kitchen with plenty of stools for the large island along with the table. Naturally confined, level side yard for the pup (very happy with that setup!). Dog food & water bowls--big ones!--on both levels. Secluded feel yet easy to get to, with a westerly sunset view of Wears Valley. The loft was open to the living area (probably best for the earliest riser), but it's an airy, pleasant space with its own bathroom. Mattresses and pillows were comfortable.
Temps were in the teens during our stay, but the cabin was warm and comfortable. We spent a lot of time in the lower level game room playing pool and watching football. Although we brought our own speakers for streaming music, there was actually a little stereo in the game room we probably could have plugged into also.
No complaints at all. Everything worked perfectly except for the wif-fi password, but we solved that issue easily by using the serial number off the router. A happy new year was had by all. Thanks!
Great view, exellent location!
Our stay at “Next Step Heaven” was definitely a good experience. The location of the cabin gives a slight feeling of seclusion, while still being close enough to everything for convenience. Roads leading to the cabin have a few tight turns but are good & it’s a short drive from the valley floor. Everything about the cabin is roomy & doesn’t feel cramped. The main deck has plenty of seating & a porch swing. Unlike most cabins, Next Step Heaven has a full sized washer & dryer.
We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay! We hope to see you again!
Best pet friendly cabin we have found
Thank you so much for providing us with a clean, peaceful escape where the dogs can enjoy the fire too! The views are fantastic and the next cabins are just far enough away to be unnoticeable. Porch sitting is a great stress relief. We were here for Thanksgiving and the kitchen is stocked to allow for serious cooking.
See you next year-
Loved the cabin on the mountain.
Enjoyed our stay - the cabin was beautiful as was the scenery. The front porch was perfect for watching sunsets.
The best pet friendly cabin we have ever rented. Great furnishings and decorations. The super friendly and helpful owners have put a lot of thought and care into making sure guests have everything they need, even the four-legged guests. Words cannot express how incredible the view and sunset are. We can't wait to stay again!
Our cabin is nestled on five acres in Wears Valley, on Cove Mountain. We are close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg (both a short drive away).
