About Anna Murray

We love our Sunriver home. It has been such a fun place to build family memories all year long! We have had breakfast with Santa, a visit from an elf, and a sleigh ride in the winter and love to bike, ride horses, and play in the pool in the summer. We always have a great time when we stay at our little retreat!

We hope you'll love it too!

Why Anna Murray chose Sunriver

We love the weather in Central Oregon- snowy during the winter and sunny in the summer. We rarely see the rain we get in the valley. Sunriver is quiet, but has a lot of activities to offer. I feel truly rested when we return from a trip to our Sunriver home.

What makes this house unique

Our family loves to go to Mt Bachelor in the wintertime for skiing and sledding. Sunriver has a ton of fun family activities during the winter Traditions schedule. We also love the biking, pony rides, golf, restaurants, music, etc. We're always very happy in Sunriver!

Guestbook comments from the owner

I am never disappointed when I come to Squirrel #3! Not only is it the perfect

location, but the home is so cozy and inviting. This is like a dream week, hot,

hot, hot during the day and very cold at night. Makes for great walks early and

perfect for bike rides later. Evening is set aside for tennis! Thank you for

keeping your home open to those of us who love it here. I am already thinking

about next year!

Easy and comfortable. Close to everything. SHARC is awesome.

Sunriver is such a fantastic place. We were there with our four children ages 2 to 11 and there is something for everyone. We used the bikes at the house and rented another with a trailer for the baby and didn't have to use it car again the whole time. It was a blast.

Location, location, location!!!

  • 4 of 5

Great home in a great location, walk to shopping, coffee, the village market, Sharc swimming, all kinds of food to eat, Sunriver Brewery, close to the path to walk or bike to the lodge, or anywhere the path will take you, that's the pros, cons, the bathrooms and kitchen need updating.

We had a family vacation and also rented the house next door we had a wonderful time, it worked for us.

Great little cozy place

  • 5 of 5

My family of 5 really enjoyed this place. It was nice and had all of the technology requirements 3 boys with 3 kindles and a couple phones could need. It only has 3 beds (including the hideaway), the hideaway is great for a 10 year old but I wouldn't expect an adult could sleep on it. It also has no hint of pet dander which is great for a family with severe pet allergies. The washer and dryer are max capacity and very effective. The host was also very responsive throughout the process.

A couple cons: The place was very clean but there are some dated items as you might expect in a vacation home. The heater fan is a little noisy having a whirl when it turned on. The dishwasher front panel was only attached on one side and caught when you closed it.

If you want a great value place without any hint of pets, this is the place for you. Not new but a great value.

Needs updating

  • 2 of 5

There are pros and cons with this Sunriver rental. By far the best feature is the location. It is quiet, woodsy, and within a few minutes' walk of the village. It could not be in a more ideal spot. The hot tub is also very nice. It's a nice temperature, roomy, and easy to use. However, we were disappointed with the overall appearance of the unit, which needs updating. There were burned out lightbulbs in two rooms, a broken lamp in the corner of a bedroom, a closet door that got stuck every time you closed it, and a heavy sliding door to the patio that was very difficult to open or close. The shower curtain in the master bathroom was so flimsy that it billowed inward and made it difficult to shower in what was an extremely small shower. Our biggest disappointment was the gas fireplace, which did not work. The weather was cold while we were there and the fireplace was one reason we chose this house. The directions were unclear, and when we couldn't get it to work I called the owner. She emailed me the same instructions, and didn't respond the second time when we told her it still didn't work. The house was fairly clean, but when we went to put our sheets in the washer on the day we left we found it full of wet towels that had been there for at least the three days we were there. Since we stayed there on a holiday weekend, we paid a high rate, which was too much for this level of quality. This unit meets basic needs, but don't expect luxury or up-to-date furnishings.

Owner's Response: We appreciate this detailed feedback to create a better stay for future guests. We have new living room furniture, mattresses and have plans to replace the sliding door with a more light weight style. The lightbulbs and missed laundry have been addressed with housekeeping and won't be an issue going forward. I am disappointed that the fireplace was not working during this visit. It has been serviced and is ready to keep guests cozy this winter.
