Perfect fall get-away
My husband and I have used 3 Newark Avenue, Lewes as a home base for the past several years for a fall vacation of kayaking and hiking. This year we had perfect weather as we explored the Pocomoke River, the Broadkill River, and our favorite - Trussum Pond. All were totally wild and secluded. We also loved hiking the trails at Cape Henlopen State Park, where the beach, sunsets, and full moon-rises were amazing. The cottage at 3 Newark was clean, comfortable, quiet, and fully equipped. We've stayed there 3 years and fully intend to return next fall. Thank you, Nancy for sharing your home.
I am so glad to had another fun vacation in Lewes. Hope to see you next year!
Perfect for our group
Everyone enjoyed the cottage and it's convenient location. The upstairs seating area was perfect for our group when we gathered after dinner. It was a short walk to the beach, and to local eateries and entertainment.
Only suggestion we had was a bug light by the doors to deter the dive bombers at night.
We are so glad you had a nice time. We will definitely put a bug light on the deck! Thanks for the suggestion. Hope to see you next year.
Summer family time
We stayed the week of June 25th. It was a very comfortable and relaxing stay. Nancy was very helpful and accommodating. The neighbors were friendly. We enjoyed our stay tremendously!
We are so happy that you enjoyed your vacation in Lewes! We plan to renovate the bathroom, replace carpets and doors and paint the house, so we hope you will come back next year and stay with us again and see the improvements we made. Thank you and hope to see you again.
Comfortable Home, Great Customer Service
We arrived for girls weekend Friday-Sunday. This home is very conveniently located close to the beach and Cape Henlopen State Park, which we loved (Beach, Hiking, Biking). We also loved the little town for shopping and food- we went to Kindle (very good) and Gilligan's (nice atmosphere on the deck) for lunch and take out from A Touch of Italy. The kitchen is well provisioned, great patio in the back to hang out. My first trip to Lewes and I will definitely return to this quaint little town.
We are so glad you had a great weekend. We always love to hear that our renters enjoy Lewes as much as we do. Hope to hear from you again!
A perfect rental experience
The house has everything you need. Quiet street in a nice part of town. It isn't ON the beach, but you are only 4 or 5 houses down from the beach and it is super easy access. I have a toddler and it was close enough to go back to the house for potty breaks, etc. with no hassle. The beach itself is in a residential area / no hotels or condos. Most mornings and evenings we had the beach to ourselves. Even when it was "busy" the closest people were 30-40 feet away. Would recommend to anyone and we'll be back for sure. Owner is super easy to work with as well.
We are so happy you had a great vacation and would love to see you again next year.
Beautiful clean location so close to the beach!
The location is unbeatable as far as proximity to the beach goes. The beach wasn't even crowded most days - though one night a few gnats wouldn't leave us alone by the ocean.
The rental house was rather small for me and my five family members, but it housed us quite well. I was impressed with the amenities - it is even more up to date than the photographs. The neighborhood is peaceful and there are quite a few nice shops close by on Second Street. Would definitely book here again if I were to return to Lewes!
We are so glad you had a good vacation and the house met your needs. We do our best to make things comfortable for our guests and it's nice to hear that we are doing our job! We would love to see you come back again in the future. Thanks again.
