Prime Hook Retreat is a spacious four bedroom two bathroom house that sits directly on the Prime Hook Wildlife Refuge. The house is open and bright with views of the Refuge from the second story living room, balcony, and all four bedrooms. From the front of the house, enjoy the view of the Delaware Bay in the fully enclosed sun room.

This house has plenty of space to spread out! The large sunroom has comfortable couches to enjoy the view of the bay or an afternoon nap. A game table with an assortment of board games and puzzles for fun with family or friends. Or just sit back in one of the chairs and read a good book. The living room has a beautiful view of the marsh with plenty of seating to socialize or watch a movie. Seat the whole family at the large dining table for dinner or games. Or if you like, enjoy that meal on the front patio under the sunroom.

A laundry and full bathroom are on the ground level along with an outdoor shower to rinse off after a day at the beach.

Located in the Prime Hook Wildlife Refuge, this quiet community is away from the hustle and bustle of crowds and traffic. Enjoy the wildlife, star filled night sky, and wide open sandy beach.

Get the best of all that Prime Hook Has to offer from this house sitting directly on the wildlife refuge and beach access directly across the street. Watch the sun rise over the bay and set across the marsh.


Only 2 1/2 hours from Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington DC, and 25 - 30 minutes to the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk, beautiful ocean front Cape Henlopen state park, and historic Lewes. Outlet shopping, fabulous restaurants, and amusements are all a short drive away.

Sleeps 8 (or more with owner approval) people on two full beds, 1 queen, and two singles. Linens and towels included.

This is a pet friendly house allowing one pet with additional cleaning fee. Additional pets may be allowed with owner approval.

Lovely front room to view ocean and hear waves during high tide. House equipped with essentials. Be sure to bring binoculars to see birds. WISH I was reminded TO BRING BUG SPRAY. Biting flies on beach . Awesome Walmart delivers. Beds comfier than most rentals. We loved the secluded area of Prime Hook. The beach on the Bay is just as powerful and beautiful as the ocean, just far, far less crowded. Our beagles loved running the beach. Bunnies all over the yards. Sunsets were pretty and different colors each night. Very sweet place to stay and connect with someone you love.

You’re never sure renting a place based off pictures, this place was exactly like the pictures. Very clean and welcoming. I was a little worried about being so far from everything, but I worried for nothing! There was everything we needed in either direction for a short 20-30 minute ride. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The sunset over the preserve was absolutely beautiful. The area was quiet with very little to no traffic. I will definitely rent again.

Retreat is an accurate description of this property. It's very spacious and is adjacent to a wild life refuge. It was very quiet. One thing that really impressed us was how many stars we could see in the night sky. Across the street is what I would describe as a natural beach. We walked over 5 miles one day on the beach without encountering any other people. The house was clean and features many amenities including a full size air hockey table in the game room.

Loved the location and the roomy size. Very well appointed. The sun porch was the go to place. One thing that I think should be of interest to own is that the. Heatpump should be serviced. Very noisy . Also the heater in the sun room wasn’t responding to settings and it took awhile to come on. All of us would return for another visit. The house is set up to easily work for families with children and pets. Plenty of space to shake the sand from feet or shoes.

Prime Hook was bright and clean with a great quiet location. Short walk to beach. Short drive to Tanger outlets and antique shops. Overall it was THE PERFECT spot for our girls weekend
