Serene home in the heart of the redwoods, with lovely flower gardens outside and the South Fork of the Eel River in your backyard. Dip in the river or the pool, bask in the sun, or kick back in a lounge chair and listen to the birds and tree frogs.
Just minutes away you will find forests, streams, and hiking trails, State and National Parks are as close as a 15-minute drive. California's famous Lost Coast where the Pacific Ocean meets a rugged coast and trails criss-cross parkland is less than an hour away. Opportunities abound if you long for days of exploring natural, untouched wilderness. Other times, you may choose to enjoy restful and pleasurable days at home.
The house, now a vacation home, has been a much-loved home by family and friends. It has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The master bedroom has a queen bed and a cozy window seat where you might want to curl up with a book. The small bedroom, with a double bed, has large windows so you wake up watching the squirrels in the trees. The favored bedroom is on the screened porch, and if it wasn't for the very comfortable bed, you might think you are back in summer camp. The small bathroom has a shower and the large bathroom has a jacuzzi double tub.
Check out photos for the kitchen--modern appliances, everything you might need except no dishwasher. There is an available washer/dryer, lots of beach towels, walking sticks, and a Bar-B-Q by the pool. This pool, fenced for the safety of children and animals, is right out the back door. It is large enough for laps, and since it is not heated, it is always refreshing.
It is a lovely place for a family vacation, good time with friends, or maybe a quiet country retreat.
