  • wonderful end of October

"we were a group of Ab divers and loved the location, 2 days of sun and our departure day it rained. Note to divers, there is not any access to ocean from this property. We did get numerous chances to dive up along the coast. The house is cozy and clean and it's location perfect."

  • It was a fantastic stay

"The property has a spectacular ocean front view with waves crashing. Beautiful sunset. We were very comfortable with 5 people and 2 German shepherds. The deck and play area were great for the dogs to run around and play. There is cooks beach nearby and the Regional Park is close with miles of trials, many leading to beaches. The dogs and us loved the hiking at the park. Be prepared the kitchen is small but very functional. We managed to cook up great meals with supplies from the nearby well stocked grocery store. We would definitely stay at this property again. The only minor thing we could suggest is chaise lounges for the deck to lay back, relax and read."

  • Oceanfront in March

"I would actually give 4 1/2 stars. Together with another couple, we visited this home for 6 days in March. Our stay included warm sunny days and a scary hurricane-like storm. This home is an amazing place to be, in either situation. The views are stunning. The waves pounded nonstop. Lighthouse beacon swirled through our bedroom at night. It was a very special place to be. Downside: we did have to battle ants in the kitchen and went out to buy some ant spray, as there was none in the house. The other kitchen issue was the complete disarray of items in the drawers and some of the cupboards, which resulted in lots of hunting around for needed utensils or containers. I would think the maids or cleaning crew could make some sense of the kitchen chaos. We have stayed in other places where everything had a labeled place, and were much more organized in the kitchen. We enjoyed the pool table during the storm, and thankfully the power didn't go out. Fireplace kept us warm and cozy. I was able to fly my kite on the bluff on the sunny days, a nice breeze was just right. Our friends said the downstairs bed was good for them. We found the upstairs bed to be quite hard; it could have used a foam topper! This home is in a lovely neighborhood and close to both Mendocino Village and Fort Bragg. Owner was very easy to work with and we extended our stay for an extra day without any trouble."

  • Our stay was very comfortable.

"This house is more beautiful than the pictures. The bedrooms are simple, the furniture comfortable, the kitchen has very nice space and amenities, and the setting is perfect. Love the hot tub room and the living room space. It was easy to find, tucked in a nice neighborhood, and the driveway was easy to park in. There are helpful signs around the house, and clear instructions so one need not fuss. The Community Forest was very close by for great hiking. This is a well loved family home."
