What a great cottage with a fantastic lake view. We rented this cottage while attending family weekend at St. Lawrence University (25 min. away) so we didn’t enjoy all the amenities to their fullest. The weather was a little cool but our boys did use the kayaks to fish and went in the hot tub afterwards. We also used the fire pit the first night. We did have a few family dinners with my daughter and her friends. They enjoyed taking a break from the dining hall. The kitchen was well equipped. We brought all our food in a large cooler so we didn’t have to shop while we were there. The toaster is the only appliance I would replace as only one side worked. The house was very clean and nicely furnished. The pictures are very accurate. We would definitely rent again. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
The house is very nice with a warm Adirondack feel. John and Donna are the best. He even came out in his boat to help us when we couldn't get the pontoon boat started! Highly recommended.
Had a wonderful time. The weather was wonderful and we really enjoyed the hot tub and pontoon boat. Wish we could have towed a raft behind but we did love to take it out fishing. Cottage was a little cramped for our family of six.
We enjoyed our time in this classic Adirondack cottage. Having the watercraft there meant we didn't have to bring ours, which was nice. The hot tub near the water's edge was great! I enjoyed sitting on the small deck by the lake in the morning sun with my cup of tea. It is quiet and relaxing there, and other lake visitors were respectful of quiet hours (except for one :( ). We really liked having the pontoon boat for fishing. Overall a great week!
We had a great time! Early August turned out to be a great time to stay at Trout lake. The water as warm for swimming, the fishing was good, and there were very few bugs.
The cabin was very comfortable and well stocked with all the pans and dishes we needed for meals. The pontoon boat, kayaks, paddle board and hot tub were all put to good use. All in all, a great trip.
We had a nice get away The neighbors D.J. and Kim were so great with our kids , They let them play on their sandy beach and play with their little dog( which made this a great time for your granddaughter with special needs). And my husband enjoyed his visits with D.J. It was really nice to have all the different things to use in the lake Very peaceful
