This home is located in a small community in the middle of the Francis Marion Forest. Enjoy the quiet of this Forest community while still being close to shopping (20 min.), Isle of Palms and Sullivan's Island Beaches (30 min.) and the heart of downtown Charleston (33 min.). This home was completely remodeled and furnished with 100% new furnishings in 2017. In addition to the 1200 sq. ft. of living space this house has a 750 sq. ft. furnished screened in porch that runs the entire length of the house. The house includes tiled baths, new hardwood floors throughout, a gas fireplace, and a granite counter top work station equipped with a full size computer monitor, wireless keyboard/mouse and printer. The owners live at the back of this 8 acre property and invite tenants to join them (in season) for their regular 7:00 PM feedings of their large domestic and Japanese koi that reside in a large pond at the back of the property... not to mention the pond is also full of large mouth bass and bream. Tenants are welcome to fish in this pond at any time using the bait and tackle the owners have available at the property. The tenants also have access to 3 kayaks (2 touring and 1 fishing) that can be used on the nearby Quinby creek (5 miles North) and/or the Wando River (5 miles South) of the property. In addition, two bikes along with a car bike carrier are available. The bikes can be used to ride anywhere in the lowcountry... the trails of the Forest, streets of historic Charleston, and/or the beach communities of Isle of Palms, Sullivan's Island and Folly Beach. The owners have a bamboo fence enclosed private swimming pool that can be used by the tenants at any time. The owners also like to garden and have a raised-bed garden on the property which contains flowers, vegetables and herbs. When in season, tenants are welcome to enjoy all the produce in the garden to make meals or brighten up the home with floral bouquets. This home also has a small deck off of the screened-in porch that can be used to sit and relax, grill out on the gas grill or enjoy a real fire in the fire pit (wood is furnished by the owner). Last but not least, the owners own a Bayliner Element xr7 that is docked at the Wando River Marina (5 miles from property). For a contribution towards gas to take the boat out on the water, tenants can arrange for the owners to take them on a sunset cruise during the week or take them out on a weekend to enjoy dolphin watching, fishing/crabbing, or tubing.

This home was beautiful! Very clean, comfortable beds, cozy all the way around. Nice welcome drinks and snacks, which we all enjoyed. We liked that it was away from all the traffic, but a short drive to most everything. We definitely recommend this home and when we are back in the area we hope to stay here again.
Upscale style in a rural setting
My wife and I have been using VRBO to find that perfect house for our vacations for 20 years and have never had a bad experience and ,and are usually overjoyed with the rentals. However after staying in this guest house, the bar has been raised substantially. Without a doubt, future rentals will be judged against this little gem. A dream kitchen, wonderfully decorated, and the host have filled the house with details usually r eserved for high $$ hotels. And spotless clean, comfortable beds and furniture. I just can’t say incredible enough times. All this at a unbelievable price. Absolutely the best bargain we have ever seen in our years using VRBO. if you are traveling to the Charleston area, please do yourself a favor and stay in this incredible house.

Oh my, what can I say....the home was amazing the best I’ve ever stayed in! I went and looked...I’ve been in over 20 vrbo/Airbnb homes both in Europe and the US. I’ve given lots of homes a rating of 5... looking back, that was a mistake compared to this home in Huger! Based on my personal rating system then this home is a 10! The ground are lovely, in fact I’m on the back screened porch listening to the bird chirp as I write this. The hosts are the nicest and most generous people on earth, I am traveling alone, and one day when I had been gone all day, and out late (they could tell by the absence of my car) they even texted me to be sure I was okay! They invited me to join them at the pond to feed the swans! The house what can I say! So perfect! The finishes are outstanding. The layout is perfect. With the addition of the screened in porch, there is so much living area. The extra touches are so appreciated. A rack of keurig cups, a basket full of treats, umbrella to use, fully equipped desk with all the supplies you need, robes in the closet...I could go on and on! I would come back in a heartbeat....in fact I don’t want to leave...... oh, by the way Charleston is charming!
Outstanding isn’t a big enough word.
I have stayed at many HomeAway properties the past few years and this one is the best! My dog is my “child” and they had dishes, baggies and home made treats set out for her. The house was spotless and so roomy, but the screened in porch was our favorite place to relax. If you’re not a dog lover don’t be put off by the visitors, Jack and Banditt are very friendly and will leave when you tell them to. I cannot say enough good things about this property, I wish I could stay longer. If you’re coming this way do not hesitate to rent this property, EXCELLENT!!
