This beautiful 2500 square foot lakefront home is perfect for a family getaway. It is waiting for you to enjoy & make memories to last a lifetime! Located in deep water on water frontage in quiet West Shore with spectacular views of the lake and Mt. Lassen.

The house is spacious for a party of up to ten, with plenty of room for everyone to spread out with tastefully furnished, comfortable rooms. The kitchen is gourmet equipped for real cooking, not your usual rental minimums. The great room has seating for ten people with a sixty-five inch TV.

Ideal for year-round activities: summer water sports; swimming, kayaking, boating, jet skiing, paddle boarding, water skiing, fishing, biking, hiking, golfing, Fall colors, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s celebrations, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, snowmobiling, Mt. Lassen National Park….and much more!

The huge 1400 square foot wrap around deck sits perched over the water with stunning sunset views. The home comes prepared with an outdoor propane infrared BBQ, patio furniture, outdoor dining set, and a large sunshade area for afternoon lounging.

Terraced steps and a foot path leading down to the water’s edge with a boat dock and buoys for secure mooring of your boat and water toys. Adirondack chairs and umbrellas provided on the dock. Have cannonball competitions off the dock, or leisurely kayak in our bay, or just sit and drink in the gorgeous scenery while listening to the water birds and eagles.

All guests have access to our kayaks, paddle boards, bikes, and the West Lake Almanor Community Club, a five-minute walk from the house. Access to free tennis courts and pickle ball 5 minutes from the home.

The Lake Almanor West community has a nine-hole golf course, par 72, forest-lined fairways, restaurant, tennis courts, pickel ball, boat launch and recreation area with playground and protected beach/swimming area. Located 5 minutes from US Forest's Recreation trail, an 11 mile paved trail for hiking and biking along the beautiful west shore of the lake.

*A one week minimum is required during the prime rental season. Check in is at 4pm Saturday and check out is at 10am the following Saturday. Shorter stays will be considered upon request.

*Our property is a family home and it is decorated for comfort and relaxation. Special requests will be considered by Kathy Limmex.

*We live a few hours away from the home and want to make sure each guest has an amazing vacation. If there are any issues, please let us know and we will be happy to get them fixed right away. This is our second home and we are available at any time to help via telephone, and have local resources for any emergency needs.

Can't say enough about how great of a time our family had staying at this house! It's the second time we've stayed here and we've loved it each time! It is the most well outfitted house I've ever rented. Besides the amazing views from the house and deck and the fun toys available to use on the lake, the house has just about every spice and kitchen gadget you could ask for along with many extra blankets, toiletries, etc to make the stay very welcoming and comfortable. The owner is super responsive for any issues or concerns that come up. We can't wait to rent it again!

Kathy was great! Worked with us thru the uncertainty in the weeks prior due to the Park Fire until we had a clear path to be able to make it to the lake. The house, property, dock are all fantastic. Will now be first on my list for places to rent again in the future.

Our family had an amazing week! The house is perfect for a large family, has everything you need, clean and extremely well-stocked. Beautiful views of the lake and Mt. Lassen. Fantastic week on the lake

Our extended family of 6 adults and 2 kids spent a week at this incredible home and enjoyed every minute. We’ve rented a bunch of homes around the country over the years and this one definitely tops the list. Super clean, comfortable and to call it well stocked would be a gross understatement. This home had everything you could wish for and more - from the kitchen and pantry to the bathrooms to the recreational equipment - they’ve truly thought of it all. The deck is special - very spacious and comfortable with beautiful Lassen views. Easy walking distance to Rec area and tennis courts. Completely exceeded expectations and we can’t wait to come back!

Family stay at Lake Almanor West

The home we stayed in could not have been any better both in location and accommodations. Family came in from NC, NY, CO and CA and what a wonderful meeting place to have our family reunion. The house is the best stocked home for a rental that we have ever stayed in. We had ten people and the sleeping accommodations worked well. The view is amazing and there seems to be nothing the owners have not thought about. We were out on the Lake much of the time and the weather was beautiful. We also played golf and that was easy to do. What a beautiful place to enjoy a week away with loved ones. Thank you for our lovely stay! The Bell/ Viva/ Balistreri families.

The Best One Ever!

Wow! What a fantastic week we had at this home! This was our 19th summer renting at Lake Almanor. This year didn’t feel like we were at a rental, but at a 5-star resort. Beautifully decorated, a well-stocked pantry and kitchen with plenty of dishes, cookware, and utensils. The welcome basket with coffee and snacks was a great surprise, and the air conditioning was a huge plus! Very good quality linens and comfy beds. Lots of great seating on the deck and the dock, and we had a great time using the paddleboards and kayaks they provided. The owners thought of everything. We already have our reservation for next summer!

This home is incredible!

This home is awesome. We have rented 4 different homes on Lake Almanor and this is by far the most well stocked and setup home for family fun. Communication with the homeowner was easy and quick. The house is comfortable and has everything you will need for a fun vacation. We were so overjoyed to find the kitchen well stocked with the essentials (condiments, spices, all cooking equipment and literally anything else you might need). The deck was comfortable and roomy, the dock was easy to access and there was plenty of parking. (We had three cars and two trailers and there was still plenty of parking.) There are games, sports equipment, and the kayaks and paddleboards and bicycles were a blast. The nearby trails for walking or bike riding were beautiful but it was fun just walk the neighborhood. The owners have made every accomodation to make this a comfortable and inviting place for any visitor. You definitely get your money's worth here. Highly recommended!

House is very well stocked, the large deck is great and having three full bathrooms is a plus. Everything was clean on arrival and checking in was quick and easy. Lots of parking and a big dock which helps when you bring two boats, a jet ski and a wave runner. Would definitely rent here again.

Beautiful lake house, with everything you need included

We have been coming to Lake Almanor with our extended family for years and this house was spectacular! The hosts literally thought of everything you could need and were so generous with special touches from a welcome basket to use of their paddle boards and kayaks. Gorgeous views of Mt. Lassen in beautiful bay. The deck overlooking the lake is huge with lots of room to relax and take in the views. The beds are comfortable and everything was so clean. Kathy was very responsive with any question we had. Thank you for making our stay so special. We hope to come back next year!

Amazing House on the Lake!

We had an awesome time at the Kaner’s house at Lake Almanor! The home is beautiful, spacious, and very clean. The kitchen is fully stocked - from spices to cooking gadgets. There is both an indoor and an outdoor dining room tables that sit 10 people very comfortably. We loved sitting on the outdoor deck and the dock, and we enjoyed the beautiful views of the lake and Mt. Lassen. We also had a blast using the stand-up paddle boards and kayaks that come with the house. Kathy and Carol are fantastic hosts, and they were very welcoming and easy to communicate with. We definitely hope to be able to come back and stay here again!

Fire and Rain!

I can't say enough about this beautiful place. Our 20th year of family vacation at Lake Almanor, and our 2nd in this lovely home. Unfortunately, the Dixie Fire took precedence over our vacation, and we had to evacuate mid-week of our stay. Our prayers have been with the firefighters and the homeowners in the area. Lord willing we will book this property next year, and, also Lord willing, for many years to come. It is truly a 5-star resort and the owners are amazing!

BEST VACATION GETAWAY EVER!!!

Kaner's House was perfect for the 8 of us! Grandparents, our children, and our two grandsons 10 & 12 each had own room! The house is lovely and doesn't disappoint! The kitchen is perfect for several people to cook in-& boy did we!! Early mornings spent outside on the huge deck over looking the Lake were beautiful & peaceful. Wonderful home

My sisters and I have been bringing our families to Lake Almanor every summer for a decade or so. This was easily the best property we've rented on the lake. It's well cared for and has such a strong family home feel. We came at a time when supply chains in the US were disrupted enough that many essential items were unavailable at the store, but the house was stocked with absolutely everything we could need. There are puzzles and games, kayaks and paddleboards, and plenty of life jackets in different sizes. Everyone had such a fantastic time and the kids loved having their own bunk bed room. The kitchen in particular is fully equipped with cookware and a very nice set of knives (I've never before seen a short-term rental with good knives!) and a full, large pantry. We brought our own foodstuffs of course, but it was nice to not have to go to the grocery store if we wanted a tablespoon of flour. The view from the deck is gorgeous and the house is comfortable and clean. We will definitely be returning!

We had a wonderful time at this lovely property. I've rented many places and I've never seen such care given to the needs of the guests than at this property. The pantry, the bathrooms, the rec rooms were stocked with everything you could possibly need to make the most of your stay. It felt more like a home than a rental.

Everything you could need with an unbeatable view

We love staying at this place. Two things really stand out - the kitchen is set up for anything you could possible want to cook. The knives are sharp, the spices well stocked, everything you could need. Next is the view. I absolutely love it. We've gone in winter both times we've stayed at this property and the view of a quiet goose bay and a snow covered Lassen is incredible. I find myself sitting at the dining room table with a book and I never actually read, because I just look out the window in absolute peace.

The view from the home was incomparable! My family felt at home in your home. The attention to detail gives everything the feeling of luxury. Tahoe has nothing on your Lake Almanor. My 5 year old granddaughter took over the bunkbed room. Interior decoration and art are very tasteful. the well equipped kitchen supported a bunch of foodies for a great Thanksgiving. Great Family House

So comfortable for our family of 9! Clean and organized! A generous welcome basket with coffee, wine, and even some juice for the littles, and snacks! Thanks so very much! Bedroom layouts and sleeping arrangement options were a great fit for us! Lots of warm blankets for cozying up with the grandkids. Kitchen tools were the best stocked I’ve seen in any VRBO we’ve stayed in! So if you like to cook I think you’ll have all you will need here! Spacious living room, dining areas and seating, spacious deck and property! Lots of windows and light! Beautiful views of lake and Mount Lassen’s snowy peak! River otters frolicking on the boat dock in the early morning! Eagles, ducks, fish jumping! A short walk to the playground for the littles! When we were leaving one of the littles ran back into the house, she didn’t want to leave! We could definitely relate! We will be back during warmer weather for sure! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Why they chose this property

We were looking for a property on a lake for our yellow lab Kaner who had bad elbows. Kane LOVED to swim, and it was much better for his elbows than hikes or running. We sadly lost Kaner to lymphoma at only 6 years of age.....but honor him by naming our lake home: "Kaner's Lake House". He is missed and remembered everyday! His sisters sure love and enjoy the lake though!

We wanted to be able to open the door and walk to the water - and we can! An amazing lake, a quiet area and the gorgeous nature surrounding us is truly a gift!
It is an all-season recreational area. We also wanted to be able to drive to the lake in less than 4 hours from the Bay Area.
