We chose this particular property because of the location on the lake, the views, gentle entry to the lake, the expansive sandy beach and large backyard as well as the great floorplan for entertaining. This is such a fun yet peaceful place to unwind and enjoy the time here with family and friends.

An amazing home with equaling amazing views of the lake

I highly recommmend this home! My family came together for a holiday trip to the mountains. This home is right on the lake and plenty to do to keep the kids busy! The game room was a life savor!! Beautiful home with plenty of space for a large family. We were able to create lasting memories!

Lakefront Bliss

Third year in a row staying here for the Fourth of July. Finally had to go write a review. Absolute serenity. House sits in a quite cove with a dock and beach access. New patio furniture and bbq on the deck this year was a big plus. You're rarely indoors when you're on the lake, but the house is well appointed and spacious with lots of living space on both floors. The kitchen is updated and the lake is right outside your door. Can't wait to go back next year.

Lake choppy and cold. House with many shortcomings. Bailey Creek Golf is superb. Nice dock.

TV never worked. Septic system smell over outside decks. Neighbors VERY close. Bathroom fan sound like cement grinder. Everyone in neighborhood has dogs, but you’re not allowed. Toilet paper and towels minimal. Dangerous deck with no railing. Construction area front yard.

Owner's Response: We have not had a single negative experience by any of our guests before or after this renter. We always consider our occupants as guests and treat them as such. These are malicious remarks from a renter that didn't want to follow simple home and country club rules. The pet and no smoking policy is clearly stated both for the house and the country club, but he felt he had the right to do whatever he wanted. Country club rules are that only residents are allowed to have pets. We are always available and respond immediately to any matters that might arise (it's our home and we care for it dearly - we encourage our guests to report any issues immediately). Robert called that the tv was not working and asked that I call his son because we was not actually there himself (red flag). I called and texted his son immediately, but he never responded so I assumed the matter had been resolved because I never heard from him again. There were no other issues reported. Regarding his septic remark - There hasn't been any issues with the septic system at all - in fact it is a brand new system just installed (his construction area remark - the detached garage was removed to install the system - there is no ongoing construction). We supply ample paper supplies along with bath towels and hand towels for each guest. The decks are over 3000 square feet total - they were replaced with new high end decking, completely up to code and permitted in 2009. Our home sits on a 1/2 acre lot with a huge yard and beach area - our neighbors also have lots that are just as big (Robert - you didn't rent the whole lake). This renter lost the house key, the country club gate key, the house required additional cleaning by housekeeping because it was left excessively dirty, the carpets were all deeply soiled and required professional cleaning. We recently installed a brand new air conditioning system and this renter almost froze out the system because they ran it so cold. Complete disrespect for others property. Robert's comments about Lake Almanor are ridiculous - it is well known that beautiful Lake Almanor is one of the best ski and fishing lakes in Northern California.

Gorgeous home

This beautiful cabin on the lakeshore is nothing short of luxurious. It is roomy with plenty of space for large groups but still feels so cozy - like a home away from home. If you need a break from basking on the warm shore and playing in the crystal clear water all day, this home is fully stocked with a plethora of games and activities for the whole family. The surrounding scenery is best viewed from the upper deck, where you can take in the immaculate views while sipping your morning cup of coffee. The owner, Allyn, is a incredibly kind woman who was a pleasure to talk to. Do NOT hesitate to book this impeccable property! You won’t regret it!

Outstanding location, beautiful home

Amazing home, amazing owners. They were available and responsive with every need during my holiday stay. This home is spectacular. Super spacious, awesome amenities. True chefs kitchen! Nice bonus there's a fridge and microwave downstairs as well. The pictures say it all, you have a gentle slope to a Sandy beach and a very smooth shallow entrance to the lake (not the best place for shore fishing). My only downside pertains to having small children. The stairs are narrow, steep and unsecured and the main living area is at the top of them. Something to keep in mind if you bring toddlers but otherwise this place was amazing!

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
