Look at our pictures and reviews. The dock is one of the largest on the lake in a wide, deep water cove.
This is our personal lake house, not a program rental. The kitchen is fully stocked.
It is the first place we have rented that I would love to rent again. We truly enjoyed our stay. The dock is fantastic....even with the rain, I was able to sit outside under the gazebo while my family fished from the bottom level. The cove and lake are beautiful! The house was very comfortable and the game room very fun.

We have stayed at several properties at Norris, and plan to retire here. We brought our children, brother and sister in law, my parents and our grandchildren. This home was ready for us. Beautiful master bedroom, with nice master bath. The home is well decorated and it was very clean when we arrived.Kitchen is well stocked and we brought too many items from my pantry- as there were a lot of spices and things we don't normally have.
Bill was easy to work with, and the next door neighbor Bill came over to see what he could do to help when our boat had problems. He gave us numbers and names of people to call for work to be done. Ultimately we just used the pontoon that my parents brought, but he was very helpful. The only downfall to the location of the home was the utter uselessness of our AT&T cell phones. My Brother in law and sister in law had Verizon, and theirs worked most of the time. We could get reception on the lake in a couple of spots and since I work by phone we had to make a couple of trips daily to get messages. We didnt want to leave and look forward to another possible stay at the Vogel's home. Thanks Bill!!
My siblings and our families had a wonderful stay here. The house is beautiful and well appointed especially the kitchen. Has everything you could possibly need. House is situated on a nice alcove in the lake with a great double decker dock that the kids (and adults) jumped off for hours. Paved walkway down to lake for golf cart versus trudging up and down stairs. Really was a fantastic property and owner was great to work with. Would absolutely stay here again.
This was our first trip to Lake Norris so we took our sons and several of their teenaged friends to experience lake house living. Well I have to say if I had a home like this one I wouldn't want to go back home! The bunk room was key for several teenagers to have their own space. The rest of the house was beautiful, huge kitchen w/ everything you would ever need. Great bedrooms and awsome decks for enjoying the views. Hands down the best feature was the 2 level dock. We had so much enjoyment jumping off the top deck and swimming in the clear Aqua green water, it was fantastic.
Be prepared however for the walk back up. You can rent a cart to travel up and down and that might not be a bad idea for some. Bill was great to work with and was prompt in responding to any questions. We will defiantly be back.
This review is not meant to be negative but there are enough reviews so far to describe the house, dock and owner which for the most part I agree with so I will focus on a few "need to knows" that I feel are not explained in any or enough detail. Yes the house is great and the owner responses are good with the exception of the request for internet usage report which I'll explain later. The walk up from the dock is not for the faint of heart, particularly the last 40ft when you begin to "feel the burn". If your not in shape or might have to many coctails rent a cart or at least a cooler with wheels. The dock does not have cleats to tie a boat up but the owner has told me that he will install some. The closest place to put in a boat is whitmans hollow which by boat is only ten minutes away but by car will take you almost 40 minutes thru small one lane roads so plan accordingly. Do not rely on cell phone gps....trust me. Get a good up to date gps. The house has internet but i recommend not using it due to possible overages. Im not sure what happened but I gave no one the wifi password and only looked up a part for my boat so I was sure I did not go over the 2gig limit. I was suprised when 24.12 was deducted out of my deposit for internet overages. Owner said it was possibly netflicks was used on one of the smart tvs which apparently are always hooked into the wifi so be careful if your kids are on the tvs. We dont have a net flicks account and Im not sure if the owners always stays logged in. In any case I asked for a break down of the the usage but never recieved. Overall a good stay but I feel like it was clouded up a by a few nickles and dimes.
This is our second stay in this house. We have rented homes at Norris Lake for 8 years, this is by far our favorite. The house, updated decorations, view are beautiful. All the extras that come with the house are great -fire pit, double deck dock, air hockey, darts, video games. The accommodations are perfect for families with kids. We had plenty of room with 14 people.
The information provided by the owner made the house easy to find. Communication with the owner was outstanding.
I would give it 10 stars if they would let me. We are already planning a return trip in 2017.
This was our first visit to Norris Lake and we loved it. The house was beautiful and very clean. The furnishings were up-scale, the kitchen was huge and had everything you could ever need. We had 13 people on the weekend and the eat-at bar and large dining table accommodated all of us. The master suite and bedrooms were very nice and the bunk room was a hit with kids and adults alike (We had ping pong tournaments every night.). The outside decks were huge and we sat outside at the 2 umbrella tables most of the time when not down at the dock.
Everyone loved the 2 level dock. The kids loved jumping off the upper level into the lake. It had lots of chairs and lounges. The bottom level had a table and chairs. We spent most of our time down at the dock. The cove was private enough to swim safely but also close to the lake where you could ski and tube.
The concrete path was somewhat steep. We rented a golf cart to haul our coolers and the older family members. We would recommend a gas powered golf cart as it seemed to have more power going up the hill.
The owner was very friendly and helpful. His response to questions was very prompt. The information packet he provided about the area was most helpful (We went to McCloud Mountain Restaurant and the view was incredible.). We could not have asked for a better experience.
