Privacy is a plus
The property is private and self contained with separate entrance. The king bed is comfy, though very high. Large jetted tub is very nice and was a big hit with our grandkids when they visited us. Two story layout with kitchen and sitting area down and bedrooms and bath up is okay, but the ceiling in the stairwell is a bit low. The funky studio room has weights, massage chair and a drum kit for the adventuresome guest. We didn't take advantage of the available bikes. All in all we enjoyed our stay and
Private space, great amenities, and a quiet neighborhood.
Lovely space with a jacuzzi tub and outdoor hot tub. A quiet and private space not far from downtown Victoria.
It was a pleasure hosting you Michael and hope to again soon! Scott
Fun, clean, quiet, 10 minutes from downtown
We had a great time!
(We did not stay at the place in the picture, with the surf board out front, but next door which had a vestibule with a massage chair, drum-set, exercise equipment and a lifesize cardboard cutout of David Hasselhoff on a gold throne :)
The location was excellent for our family. It was in a quiet residential neighbourhood close to a park and playground, 10 minutes from downtown Victoria, and a 3 minute drive to Tillicum centre which has Starbucks. Nearby is also a fantastic Indian restaurant called "The Mantra Indian Cuisine".
The place itself is over two floors and feels nook and crannyish, but charmingly so. Noteworthy are the aforementioned vestibule, and the narrow stairs leading upstairs where you need to watch your head if you're tall. There are two spacious bedrooms (especially the master) with closets, a bathroom with a generous Jacuzzi, a futon couch where the TV is, and another bed (twin size?) next to the kitchen area. The kitchen is adequate for small meals, with basic amenities.
Scott was friendly and communicative. We would definitely go again.
It was great to host you all and glad all had a fun time. Must try out Mantra! See you on your next visit! Scotty
Was a nice family vacation place
It is a nice location. About a 10 min drive from downtown which is no issue at all. The layout is a bit odd. The only negative is that there is no dishwasher (so if you are cooking any meals in-house you are hand washing the dishes). This is clear on the ad (so it wasn’t a surprise). The bed in both rooms are very comfortable, and the futon is well a futon. The kids didn’t mind...
Backyard was great for the dog, as well as bbq’ing and just sitting out for drinks or eating dinner.
Glad to hear all enjoyed your time in Victoria and at Creekside. look forward to hosting you again soon. Scott
Beautiful, convenient, peaceful location. Very comfortable beds. Fun amenities.
Great location for city or outdoor activities. We enjoyed kayaking and biking from the property. We loved the massage chair and outdoor spaces, with hot tub. Beds were some of the most comfortable we’ve stayed in. The indoor shared spaces (kitchen, etc) are small. Since we spent most of our time outside, this wasn’t a huge detractor. Owners are very accommodating and quiet. Excellent vacation spot.
So nice to hear that you had fun at Creekside and made use of the extras provided. Hope to see you all again soon. Scott
I was very disappointed, the property needs work.
Firstly, we did not stay in the pictured building, but in an addition right off an exercise/music area. The home did have a small kitchen, a living room, great bathroom, 2 good-sized bedrooms, and a great deck. The home was clean except for the carpet on the stairs. The beds were comfy, but so far off the ground it was very difficult to get into them. But: the stairs to the 2nd floor were not wide enough for a railing, and it was difficult to see the additional steps added to the bottom which jutted out into the kitchen; the stairs were cut out of the living room floor, and could easily cause a dangerous fall; never saw a fire extinguisher; there were no clocks in bedrooms, living room, or, I believe, kitchen, 1 mirror only in bathroom, living room had only a futon, no lamps or other seating; small bedroom had overhead light and the one lamp on the nightstand was so low you got no light from it; the yard had lots of things to do and places to sit/grill, but the dock was rickety and there was no easy way to access the boats, etc. This is a small beginning of the list. Basically, this seemed to be a garage-sale furnished apartment with several dangerous situations which should be reviewed by the organization and rectified. The host was polite when we met him outside the home, and seemed happy to have us there. I would never recommend this property to anyone. Sorry! I was embarrassed to have brought my friend there.
I'm sorry you didn't find the suite as shown not suitable for you. We no longer put out clocks as people have cell phones now. Floor to ceiling mirrors in bedroom. Fire extinguishers alarms, there are two. Have noted and thank you for your comments. Scott
