  • Perfect spot for family of 4

"Great location and comfortable suite. Everything worked and was easy. Dani was great with intro and instructions. She was flexible for us checking out. We walked everywhere! Parking was easy and secure - as was the building itself. Nice bright clean suite. Very responsive management when booking! Highly recommend this suite!"

  • Way Cool House

"My wife booked this lovely house over the Christmas holidays, we have a daughter going to University of Victoria...we thought it would be a great treat, to all be together over the Christmas holidays...wow, is all I can say! The house is so unique and funky. I loved cooking in the kitchen, which is pretty well all glass, which over looks a grove of Gary Oak trees..it was extremely peaceful. The kitchen is extremely well stocked, with good quality pots and pans.... We played lots of games in the evening, in the very large living room...lots of room to play charades, we also enjoyed tennis matches on on Wi. I am not big on saunas but my wife and daughter had an infared sauna every night before bed and then started there mornings outside in the hot tub We spend lots of days hiking around Thetis lake which was only about 5 min away....wonderful trails if you like hiking. We were only about 15 min to downtown, but seemed like we were so much further as the house was so peaceful We would certainly recommend it"

  • Beautiful Top Floor Views

"This was a great unit. Very clean and well taken care of in a very secure building and parking facility. I enjoyed the view from our room during the day and the beautiful lights at night. Great big windows from every room was a treat that I looked forward to coming back to each night. It was a great location near many shops and restaurants and within walking distance to most tourist locations. It not immediately next to the "tourist" section of town so there are more homeless in and around this area. Victoria is a much bigger city than I had expected with some visible big city issues as well. I would highly recommend this unit."

  • Truly a home away from home.

"We just returned from a 6 night stay at the Mermaid Condo. As others have mentioned, Maureen meets you with a smile and will give you the info on the condo and any other questions you might have. The location is second to none, we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go except Butchart Gardens. (Which the #75 bus will take you to or, if it's a Saturday, take the CVS tour late to take in the free concert & fireworks with a guaranteed late ride back home. You won't be disappointed.) The condo does get warm but if you pull down the blinds in the afternoon, open the windows & put the fan in the doorway you're golden. Someone had complained about the bed in a previous post & I'll be honest that I was a bit concerned, as I would be the one next to the wall, but the bed is very comfortable & was not an issue at all. We ate in all but one breakfast, unfortunately we didn't get to try "Jam" as there was a line all the way down the street. We did find "Nautical Nellies" to be the perfect last night dinner with good seafood & a great view. There is a market up Yates street which had everything we could want (and more) to have our own feasts at the condo after a long day of playing, while looking out at the harbor. If you cross the bridge & head to the left you'll find a wonderful walking/running path along the bay that makes for a perfect morning run (at first you'll be in front of the big resort but stick along the waterway and there is an entrance to a trail by the Spinnaker Restaurant that is wonderful). If you go across the bridge & go right you'll hit the Galloping Goose Rails to Trails bike path and can bike for hours. What an impressive bike system they have with water & bathrooms along the way. There are also a few cafes & coffee shops just off the trail. Can you tell we were busy & happy? Lastly, I have to commend the designers of this condo. We've lived in very small confines so I make note of design of such places. This condo is designed in such a way, that while it's small, it doesn't feel like it. There is so much storage with cubbies, drawers and closets that a traveler could never fill it & a single person living there would be more than comfortable. The sound proofing is great, we never heard a peep except one bang against the wall on our last evening. Overall, Maureen's Mermaid Condo is a clean, quiet, convenient, gem in the heart of a noisy tourist area that we recommend highly!!! Thank you Maureen"
