  • Great Place, Great Location

"First, thanks to our hosts Deborah and Dave for making us feel welcome at Woodruff Cottage, which we had the pleasure of visiting for three days in early summer. They generously shared raspberries, cherries, and greens from their extensive gardens. The cottage is clean, quiet, private, and very comfortable, with a fully-equipped kitchen. We walked to the nearby Mosi Bakery Cafe in 5 minutes or along the interurban trail to the Red Barn Market grocery in 15-20 minutes. (Or ride bikes, if you have some, as we did.) We also rode our bikes to the gardens of the HCP (Horticultural Centre of the Pacific). It's only a 5 to 10 minute drive to Brentwood Bay, and Butchart Gardens, and several bay-view restaurants, such as Blue's Bayou Cafe and the Brentwood Bay Resort Pub. Bottom Line: We had a wonderful time at Woodruff Cottage and look forward to visiting again."

"This condo is right downtown. I stayed here instead of a hotel for work and it was a great choice. The condo is perfectly appointed, even had wine glasses, which I used to entertain clients. Everything is in fabulous condition, with a modern 'neutral' theme. We were able to walk to great restaurants every night. I recommend Milos - for Greek food, right next door and it's a short walk to Japanese Village or the Strathcona Pub. Although I had a rental car, you can easily stay here and get to and from the airport with the Airporter Bus. The depot is 1/2 block away. Lucy had coffee, popcorn, and other basics that really made you feel welcome. There is an exercise room and a small pool too. Yes, it is on a low floor above a bar, but I did not have a problem sleeping, even on Saturday night. Consider this condo over a downtown hotel for work or play any day."

"The property was every bit as good as the photos suggested and the location, set within a very quiet and smart residential area, was excellent, about 15 minutes drive into Victoria or $20 for a taxi. The biggest bonus is the decking area overlooking the beach, all set within a really beautiful and picturesque cove. Plenty of wildlife to be seen including Humming Birds and Herons but a fantastic bonus was spotting a family of Sea Otters whilst out in the canoe. Overall, we (two couples) had a wonderful, relaxing and comfortable stay."

  • Couldn't be happier!

"Our family of four(myself, wife, two kids) just spent a week and a half here while vacationing to beautiful Victoria. John and Pam's place did not disappoint! It was such a relaxing place to wind down in the evening after many busy days. The rental was spotless, comfortable, and well equipped with everything we needed, new appliances, and they made sure we had the essentials for the next day's breakfast/coffee. This was our first experience with a vacation rental over the usual hotels, but I can tell you that they set the bar extremely high, and will be very hard to beat for us in the future. We couldn't have asked for better hosts or a better place to call home for our time there! Thanks John and Pam, hope to see you again some day!"
