  • Loved the location

"My husband and I recently spent 6 nights in the 12th floor condo in Astoria Building. The location was fantastic very close to many restaurants and the inner harbour. As mentioned by others this is a very secure place and lovely grounds; we used the parkade for a few days but did not need a car the whole time because of close walking distance to sites. We liked the idea of breakfasts and lunches in the condo and mostly went out for dinner as there are so many great eating places. Also enjoyed the balcony for sipping wine and enjoying the views. Bartholemew's British pub next door had good food and we attended one evening to hear a band playing classic rock tunes, nice to have live entertainment nearby. Others we liked were Nautical Nellie's, Red Fish, Blue Fish and Catalona. Janet, our host met us as planned and was very thorough ensuring we had a good tour of the premises. Would love to stay here again sometime in the future."

  • Awesome VRBO

"Absolutely wonderful experience, I will stay here again on my next trip. I cannot say nice enough things about Gloria and Kirk. Our visit to Victoria was all the better for having the pleasure of meeting them and getting to know them. They were very attentive to our needs and were quick to give suggestions on dining and sightseeing. My son was competing in a race in Victoria and they promptly offered to keep his bike in the garage for safe keeping as well as to use the hot tub to soak his tired muscles. The unit was spacious, spotless, well stocked and extremely quiet. I don’t think the pictures do the place justice. It was very nicely furnished and decorated, I appreciated the vase of flowers on the dining room table. Nice sized kitchen, dining room and living room with comfortable furniture and nice television. I am very particular about my bed and I found the bed to be very comfortable. It was both soft and supportive, I slept spectacularly. Gloria baked some delicious blueberry muffins that my son and I both loved. She also left us milk, orange juice, fruit, cereal, coffee, tea, and general cooking supplies. The Wallace house is a VRBO gem, superb hosts and an excellent place at an affordable price."

  • Good place to stay

"Located on the edge of Chinatown and within easy walking distance of downtown and the downtown sights. A well-maintained studio in a secure building. Amenities were decent and big ticket cleaning supplies were provided (laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, etc). Could have used an extra blanket (afghan) for use on the sofa. Key fob for the elevator was finicky but tolerable. We were met on-site on time as promised and were told to call if we needed anything. That was much appreciated. Overall a positive experience. Would stay there again."

  • Family gathering

"Beautiful property, Paul's attention to detail is very evident in the decorating and cleanliness. The kitchen is fully stocked and lovely to prepare meals in. The home is in a quiet area but is within walking distance of grocery stores etc. We were one of three couples of a family gathering. We had vehicles but also enjoyed some nice walks. We rented the three bedroom main floor and it felt like home. Thanx Paul."
