  • Great place for a great price.

"The house was fantastic for 2 people. Tom was welcoming, friendly, and helpful host. The location is super close to everything you could ever need. Great stay! Only thing that took me by surprise at first was that it was a basement suite type of place, but it was perfect for two!"

  • Weddings are for June

"I am actually surprised there are not more reviews given the high occupancy rate of this rental. The reason is, if you keep it quiet, it will be available for those of us who have stayed and want it for ourselves. Reluctantly I give this a very much appreciated excellent star rating...... This was a great find. Beautiful location, awesome rental that gave more than expected. We gathered for a family wedding and the owners juggled to accommodate us and did not disappointed. For all the ages we had in the unit - 6 months to 86 years, there was not an uncomfortable or dissatisfied sleeper. This is a well apppointed unit that provides relaxing views of the golfing world and closer than anticipated location to the Bear Mountain activities. Shopping was also nearer than expected and directions to the unit were easy to navigate for our family arriving by air, sea and road. Quiet and well kept grounds and cooperating weather made this a great stay. The management group were very easy to work with. Onsite arrival was personal and easy to contact if needed, which we found was not necessary due to good directions and support, but reassuring to have. The photos and video do not give this rental the real feeling of the space and higher end finishing provided, you get alot for your stay, enjoy. We will be back again and again. We hope there will be availability!!!"

  • Terrific Location! Wonderful House!

"Our extended three families of eight adults and seven children spent a fun and memorable week at Victoria Garden Estates, a beautiful home base from which to explore the Saanich Peninsula. From its terrific and convenient location we were able to board the ferry to Salt Spring Island, visit Victoria, Buchart Gardens, Cowichen Lake area, attend the Sidney Street Fair, bike the Galloping Goose Trail, etc. The home had lots of space inside and outside so we had plenty of room to spread out. The kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub most days and grassy area for ultimate frisbee as well as general exploring and walks to a nearby beach. We had lots of options to buy groceries--local supermarkets, farms and Costco. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and we loved the dining areas in the house which accommodated our large group, esp. the patio dining area. The kitchen was well supplied with plenty of utensils, plates, cups, and pots/pans/serving dishes. The great game room in the garage was an added bonus for family bonding time as well as the piano for those who could play in our group. Louise and Bob were fabulous hosts, available to help us get situated and even provided walkie talkies so that we could keep in touch with each other on our daily excursions. We plan to return again!"

  • Excellent Penthouse and Perfect Location.

"Stayed for 3 wks Jul-Aug, everything was as advertised. Previous review is spot-on. Study the local street map and you can walk to almost everything in 15 mins or less. Location is on an active waterway so, yes, there will be "boat sounds" including horns from the ferry and water taxi (if you can't manage 15 min walks the water taxi is very convenient and right out front). Seagulls and some across-the-street construction will add to the noise but again, you are in a busy area and on the waterfront: it's to be expected if you want to be in the center of activities. If you close the windows it's very quiet. We had no issues with feeling safe even walking back at 10-11 PM at night. Lots of homeless throughout Victoria (and everywhere else these days...) but they were friendly and rarely even asked for change. There may be less expensive units in the same building/area but this is THE premium Penthouse with corner views into the inner harbor, a deck out front and your own private rooftop deck up top."
