  • Beautiful, relaxing Garden Hideaway

"We had a wonderful stay in the home away from home in Colwood. We loved the beautiful garden! The set-up was ideal for us meeting our friends - we could make our own breakfast in the really well equipped kitchen (we had brought our own knives, but never needed to use them!) and even cooked a few evenings. But there were enough really wonderful restaurants in Victoria and the area around Colwood that we just wanted to try them all out. We slept like babies and the fresh air coming from the nearby coast was just marvelous! Thank you so much for the great stay - we hope to come again!"

  • Perfect for a Couple's Getaway

"We truly enjoyed our long weekend away in Victoria in this adorable loft in its fabulous, central location. We experienced professional check in and check out. The bed was comfortable and the apartment immaculate. The building has an amazing rooftop deck that you should definitely check out at sunset and for morning tea. We do recommend guests bring earplugs, especially for a weekend stay. It's lovely to sleep with the windows open, but the bar scene is within earshot. We appreciated the complimentary parking pass, the central location, the great view and the totally comfortable stay. Victoria is definitely a city with something for everyone, and this loft was a great home base!"

  • Loved the location

"My husband and I recently spent 6 nights in the 12th floor condo in Astoria Building. The location was fantastic very close to many restaurants and the inner harbour. As mentioned by others this is a very secure place and lovely grounds; we used the parkade for a few days but did not need a car the whole time because of close walking distance to sites. We liked the idea of breakfasts and lunches in the condo and mostly went out for dinner as there are so many great eating places. Also enjoyed the balcony for sipping wine and enjoying the views. Bartholemew's British pub next door had good food and we attended one evening to hear a band playing classic rock tunes, nice to have live entertainment nearby. Others we liked were Nautical Nellie's, Red Fish, Blue Fish and Catalona. Janet, our host met us as planned and was very thorough ensuring we had a good tour of the premises. Would love to stay here again sometime in the future."

  • Extraordinary and Charming

"The Mansard House surpassed our fondest expectations. The hosts were welcoming and gracious, and let us arrive early on our arrival day and stay late on our day of departure. The suite (full of antiques!) was more than fully-equipped; generous in size, extremely clean, warm, with comfortable beds, and all the amenities we wanted. Even umbrellas to use. The adorable private entrance and tiny perfect front garden in bloom made the February visit from the prairies totally delightful. The location of the Mansard House is perfect - within walking distance of all our favourite spots. We have stayed at many private B&B's and airbnb's - this one is the best!"
