"Our Refuge" is a luxurious coastal cottage located conveniently in the East Beach district of Gulf Shores with a short walk to a private beach access. A freestanding cottage with 2 Bedrooms (sleeps 4), a bunk area(Sleeps 2), a daybed(Sleeps 1 child), a fold out sleeper sofa (Sleeps 2), 3 full baths, two private balconies with views of the Gulf and within walking distance to shopping and restaurants! Short walk to beach - Beach View- Pool, pack-n-play, Wifi - Sleeps 9

Features include heated & cooled entry and storage on ground level, quartz countertops throughout, a ship-lap wall, 10' ceilings & crown molding in living room with solid plank flooring throughout, tiled shower w/ glass doors in master bath and custom tile surround tub/shower combo in guest baths, custom cabinetry, glass back-splash, stainless appliances w/ side by side refrigerator & full sized washer & dryer. Custom pool and brick paved streets.

The bedding arrangement is King, Queen, Bunks, Sofa Sleeper and a daybed. The daybed will accommodate a child. All beds are made with crisp white linen and there's a set for the sleeper sofa, too. An adequate supply of bath linens are clean and ready, just bring your beach towels and make-up removal cloths so the white bath linen is preserved. A "Pack-n-Play" is provided, also!

The master bedroom is furnished with a "mini" Keurig coffee station & fridge, plus the guest bedroom is furnished with a "mini" Keurig coffee station, as well. The kitchen is stocked with a full size Keurig and a standard coffee maker, utensils, dishes, cookware, toaster, blender, air fryer/toaster oven. Please bring your food, drinks & paper goods. You will find a "one day" supply of basic toiletries and products.

Please see the locator map for this property. Bring charcoal and lighter and beach towels. There is usually plenty of beach items left from previous guest in the carport storage bench.

Within 4 blocks or less, you will find a Dollar General, the Sunliner Diner, Mikee's Restaurant, Picnic Beach, a Surf Style beach store with a deli shop, Gulf Island Grill, Hooters and Sea N Suds, which is waterfront dining and provides shade on the beach!

Down Stairs parking area is MONITORED BY VIDEO/AUDIO SURVEILLANCE, 24/7. Rule violations may result in termination of stay without refund.

The house was great had everything we needed except the ice maker didn’t work. Reported and was told a service person would come but not repaired while we were there. We were there for a month. Everything else was good.

We flew in to Pensacola and it was just a little drive to the house. It was easy to check in. The house was beautiful and exactly as described. The beach was close and easy to access. Our trip was wonderful and Our Refuge was perfect for our trip. Mini golf was close, many places to eat were near. Great location and great experience.

Perfect venue!

The property was great and exceptional decor was a nice touch. We had a total of 9 people at the property (2 families). 4 adults and 5 kids under 12 years of age. The pool on location was our go to for the kids, but the short walk to the beach wasn’t too shabby either. Enjoyed the week and would definitely come back for more!

Beautiful Beach House!!

This house is absolutely stunning! The pictures don’t do it justice. The extra touches like coffee stations in the bedrooms and the huge binder of restaurant recommendations with menus provided really put this house above the rest! The location is great is in the middle of it all but still provides a quiet, relaxing environment. This house is definitely a place we will stay again!

Our Refugee

Our unit wasn’t on schedule to be cleaned before we checked in but I talked with someone and they sent housekeeping out immediately. The housekeeper was very nice and kids friendly. She did an amazing job. She left the house neat, thorough, and efficient. The house smelled wonderful. I was very pleased with her service and will be back to stay again.

Quite get away in Gulf Shores

Liked the property, we did have an issue with some blown fuses, but it was quickly addressed by the folks that maintain the property. The property is nice and clean but maybe a little far from the beach for me, requiring us to drive to the designated parking area due to all the beach parafernalia (Canopy, Chairs, Coolers, games etc.) I loved the check-in and check out changes from the last trip to the area. Everything worked seamlessly.

Perfect Family Get-Away!

Our Refuge was the perfect spot for our family of 6. Everyone was so impressed from the first walk-through until our last day. The kitchen was fully stocked, the walk to the beach was 5 minutes, and there was a store even closer in case we needed to grab anything real quick. We had a great view of the Gulf from both balconies as well. :) We also used some of the beach supplies that were there at the house for people to use during their stay, which proved fun and helpful. The decor was perfect. This was our kids first time seeing the ocean, and the beachy decor was very fitting for their overall experience. The bunks and the stuffies that were there for kids were perfect. The pool was amazing- we used it every day. Very warm and always clean. We will be back!

Nice place to stay however, lighting struck our place the first night there. Lots of damage done within the condo. We had workers in and out almost the whole week. We were not able to leave the condo. Loss of work time. With our jobs because of no internet connection until the last day. Trying to work with the owner but no response as of yet We are very disappointed

A nice location for us

The unit was in a nice location close to Gulf State Park so we could ride our bikes there without loading them on our bike rack. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pans and appliances. The furniture in the living room was a little worn like most vrbo houses but livable. The manager was responsive to the couple unforeseen issues that came up during our stay and these things were repaired or replaced quickly.

Relaxing Softball Getaway.

The property was nice and close to mustly everything. Could actually walk to beach, souvenir stores, and tons of good restraunts. Pool is literally just steps from the door. Loved it, would love to go back.

Lovely quiet refuge near, but not too near, everything.

This turned out to be a very comfortable stay. The furnishings etc are all up-to-date & clean. Lots of room for gathering as well as for privacy. Very nice homey touches also. Shirt walks to beach & dining. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved OUR REFUGE!

The pictures didn't do it justice and the interior is brighter than shown. Coastal calm and whimsical decor added to our enjoyment. Well equipped kitchen with open floor plan. Short walk to the beach, but know that you can't drive and park to the closest beach access. A wagon to haul your beach stuff would be good to bring. Overall, a good location! This was our first trip to Gulf Shores, would like to go back!

Darling and fully equipped beach house

This house had every cooking and kitchen appliance we could think of! Very comfortable stay. It had a couple of quirks, as expected. We couldn’t figure out a couple of light switches, the lock on the main bedroom balcony door was tough and the dryer will sing you a tune! It works well, just a little squeaky. This was our first time to Gulf Shores and we will definitely return. We feel lucky to have found this spotless and cozy house with thoughtful owners & manager. The beach access by Sea & Suds is an easy 5-8 min walk. Employees at the Island Market welcomed us to park in their lot when we first arrived and walk to the beach. Just don’t walk near the property at the corner of 3rd St & 2nd Av. Grumpy old man yelled at my husband and scared my kids for “trespassing” by cutting the corner and walking on his driveway. We stayed clear of him after that and had no other issues. Thank you for sharing this home with us!
