About this property

The Shell Cabin is a place to relax and enjoy the beach!

The Shell Cabin is a fun 1 bedroom/ 1 bath cabin. It has been decorated in the natural colors of the seashore. It has a sleeper sofa in the living area which can accommodate 2 people.
All of our cabins now feature central air/heat as well as washers and dryers in each.
The cabins are fully furnished with full size oven, refrigerator, cooking utensils, pot/pans, dishes, coffee pot, toaster, microwave and dish washer. If we don't have something in the cabin you need just ask, its likely we have it in storage.
All linens are provided except for beach towels. We ask that you bring your own beach towels and not take ours to the beach.
There is a large walk in shower in the bath and a half bath in the master bedroom.

The cabins are all connected by a large porch which faces the back of the property towards the beach. This porch and the outdoor space is shared by all property guests. Almost always you can sit out and enjoy the ocean breeze. There is lots of room for kids and adults to run and play out back away from the road. We also have a few games outside that you are welcome to use. We have an outdoor cooking area with gas or charcoal grills. This is a really great place to cook out and have your friends or family enjoy with you as there is lots of seating.
If you are coming with a large group or a family reunion you may consider renting all 5 cabins which could sleep up to 30 people.

When you arrive at the property our manager, Becky, will be there to check you in. You should have her phone number once you have reserved a cabin so just give her a call. Her house is the first house on the left side of the driveway. Just pull in off the street and park to the right. She will direct you to the parking area most convenient for your cabin. We are approximately 2 1/2 blocks from the beach. A large sidewalk in front of our property goes all the way to the beach, its about a 5 minute walk.

The wireless internet code should be on the refrigerator in the cabin. We have a dumpster on the far right side of the property for trash. We do try to be green so please use your towels more than once. Please do not take our towels to the beach.

If you are bringing a dog please make sure to pick up after them in the yard. We will also ask you to sign a pet release stating that you will take full responsibility for your pet during your stay. There is a small one time pet fee of $35 per pet that is paid to our manager once you arrive.
Check in is at 4:00 p.m. and check out is 10:00 a.m.. If you would like to check in early or check out late please give Becky a call. She will do everything possible to make it happen, but sometimes because of tight schedules it will not be an option.

We do have a minimum age requirement of 25. If you are not 25 please let us know and we may be able to work something out depending on the situation.

The Shell Cabin is a spotless, charming and well appointed cottage, steps away from the beach. A well thought out arrangement of privacy and differing levels of social contact. The keeper is a sweet and thoughtful person, She was an excellent communicator, flexible, understanding and generous with regard to the logistics of our stay; afforded us with many restaurant ideas, instructions on how to approach the beach, which way to turn at the entrance from quiet to a more festive beach experience. We talked about Boots. We talked about her grown children. She admired our dog’s markings. Never met a person so personable! Cheers, Becky! She liked our dog.

I can’t say enough good things about this property!! Perfect for 2 of us and our 2 dogs. So, so close to the beach and central to anything you could want to do around the town. It felt private, but also nice to have neighbors that felt like it was a community. My only complaint is that we couldn’t stay long enough! Becky, the property manager, is so kind, responsive, and helpful. Can’t wait to go back!

Fantastic - Great Place To Bring Your Dogs!

This is a gem of a place! The pictures don't do it justice. My friend and I stayed here for the weekend with our 2 dogs and from the moment we parked we knew it was going to be great. It's super easy to get to the beach, the place was spotlessly clean and well kept. The kitchen has everything you could possibly want. We cooked every meal there - the only times we left were to go to the beach. The manager is amazingly responsive to even the smallest of questions. We had no problems of any kind. It's a great place to hang out, relax on the front porch, and chat with neighbors if you feel like it. Will definitely stay there again.

Becky (property manager) was really great! Welcomed us, gave recommendations, and was overall super friendly! The cabin was quaint and clean and had everything we could need. We would definitely stay here again! The ONLY thing that was less than desirable was a dog that constantly barked next to us, but I don't blame the property for that at all... You take your chances with a pet friendly VRBO! Thanks for a great stay!

We had the best stay! This was our first time staying and it will definitely be our goto when we come into town. Everyone was so nice. It almost felt like home. My daughter was able to play outside our room with her dog without us worrying about anything. Becky was awesome! Anything you could possibly need was provided. Island Dream

Super cute property! The Shell was perfect, with everything you need for a South Coast Island getaway. The property managers, Becky and her husband, were very helpful and present. Anything we needed we just asked and they took care of us. They were out grilling with everyone Saturday night and even offered us dessert! Walk to the beach, close to shops/restaurants, outdoor shower, gas grills, outdoor games... The property was easy to find on a main street but is set back and faces an open field which supplies an ocean breeze. We’ll be back!!

Lovely and convenient.

This was by far my nicest experience renting a space. The space was tiny but so well thought out and equipped, down to seasonings in the kitchen and shower gel and shampoo in the bathroom. Everything was in great shape and decorated in a lovely way. Becky was so accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. We definitely willl come back soon!
