Adorable bungalow close to downtown and Folly Beach! Park Pass Included!

Beautiful cottage surrounded by lovely landscaping. Just a 10 minute drive to the beach and roughly 15 minutes to downtown Charleston. You will enjoy spending time in this 1 bedroom, 1 bath cottage right in the center of James Island. From the time you pull in the driveway, you will notice the attention to detail. ** Please note the driveway is long enough for 2 cars. Pack your bags for a trip to Charleston! The property is fully equipped with a full kitchen, washer/dryer, sheets, towels. In addition, there is toilet paper and paper towels. While staying at this property, you will enjoy the screened in patio with a dining table for 4. There are also two comfortable chairs for sipping your morning coffee on the porch. When you feel like going to the beach, don’t bother packing your beach chair as there are 2 chairs along with boogie boards and beach towels. When you come home from the beach, you may even want to use the outdoor shower! Very private shower and the back of the house. In the evenings, whether you want to go out or stay in, there are tons of restaurants close by. However, when you feel like staying in, there is a grill at the property and a perfect area outside great for cooking out and enjoying the exterior features of this home.
There is even a fire pit right by the outdoor seating area guests are welcome to use. We do try to provide firewood for our guests. Whether you are coming for a long relaxing weekend or even a business trip, this home has it all! Take advantage of the County Park pass this home provides. The local park is only a couple miles away and has plenty to do! Great walking paths, bike rentals, paddleboard and kayak rentals too! This pass also allows you into the other local parks Charleston has to offer. What more can you ask for! We look forward to having you!

This was the perfect place for me. I was in town for a few days to take a class and needed a home base for the evenings. This little guest house was perfect. The kitchen had everything I needed, the bed was very comfortable, and the shower was fantastic. The shower massage jets were great on my back after a long day of wood turning! The host and owners were quickly responsive when I had a question about the wifi and they even offered to let me extend my stay when a winter storm threatened to cancel my flight. I would definitely stay again next time I'm in the area!!

Our Host was wonderful and always got back to me quickly when I had a question. She knew we would be late getting in so she made sure there were lights on inside so we wouldnt be arriving to a dark house. The little touches make the biggest difference. This was our second stay in under a year at the James Island bungalow, and it was every bit as enjoyable as the first time. Very quiet, comfortably furnished, and with all the amenities that a couple could need, the bungalow is conveniently located for events at The Citadel, to the sites, galleries, and restaurants in the historic downtown, and to Folly Beach, all with a peaceful retreat at the end of the day. This VRBO will continue to a go-to place for us in the future.

Everything about the bungalow was wonderful. I was seeking a peaceful relaxing home and the bungalow provided that. The enclosed patio was nice to eat breakfast and read my book. The bed was extremely comfortable, there were many cozy blankets to keep warm which was greatly appreciated. The layout was great and all you needed was there including laundry and the shower was great! Getting around was easy, I utilized Lyft and got to experience downtown, mt pleasant, and folly. 10/10 recommend coming to the bungalow if you’re in town, you won’t be disappointed.

This was a lovely little bungalow. That was just perfect for the two of us for a long weekend while we were in town for our grandson’s soccer tournament. Our hosts were amazing and their backyard is like a little fairy land. The bungalow had everything we needed And the screen porch was especially delightful! The bed was comfortable, the shower was amazing and we were able to access all of our streaming services on the smart TV. The kitchen was well equipped, and even had basic condiments, coffee, filters, olive oil, sugar, etc.

David and Jo have traveled the world and still enjoy getting on the road as often as possible. With their worldly knowledge and also experience owning and operating a restaurant in NY they pay close attention to the details and are amazing at providing the best possible experience for their guests. Between the 3 of us we love what we do and love to open up Folly A Deux to guests. We want you all to come experience CHS just the way you should- at ease. This property is very tranquil and provides a home away from home experience with all of the bells and whistles. We hope you will come and enjoy the bungalow!

The home comes with a park pass that will gain you access to the local parks. There is one about 2 miles away and also one on Folly Beach. Safe neighborhood. Great for walking. Lovely screened in porch for relaxing, playing a game, or just enjoying the outdoor temps!
