CUTE! 2nd street beach house - North end OC, close to beach, bay, BDWK-dogs ok

Come enjoy some of your summer at the North End of Ocean City. House is sun-filled, and south facing house with a gem of a back yard (partially shaded and beautifully green.) We do allow dogs, but please read entire description before booking, regarding dog allowances.

We have great outdoor space in addition to cozy, comfy and well maintained interior space. You will love relaxing on one of our adirondack chairs after a day on the beach, as well as grilling and eating outside on the patio. And!! We have a newly added enclosed cedar outdoor shower!

Open living space on first floor with living room area, kitchen, breakfast room and bathroom with shower. First floor opens up to patio for outdoor dining, grassy backyard. Second floor: 2 bedrooms, one bathroom, and stacked washer and dryer in hallway. Queen bed in master bedroom, second bedroom has bunkbeds and a twin bed (bunk bed has full lower bed and twin upper bed) We are constantly updating this house. We have an enclosed outdoor shower ( new this year) & outside gas grill. Our second floor deck is a perfect spot to enjoy the summer sky. We also have a cedar pergula on the second floor deck.
No parties allowed.

Please tell me about your dog prior to booking. We prefer non-shedding, SMALL (less than 25#) trained dogs, but will consider others. no puppies or chewing behaviors, or problematic barkers. Impossible to find a small house with this much private usable outside space.


Weekly minimum stay. Saturday-Saturday. We have a minimum age requirement of 25 years of age (for family or group rental). We do allow 2 week stay, consecutive weeks, if available.

We do provide kitchen towels and pot holders, (only), and I have provided pillows. All bed linens, beach towels and bath towels are not provided by owner and are your responsibility as tenant.

No smoking property. (Refrain from smoking on property inside & out.) House is great for small family with young kids. (Fenced in yard, great for keeping your bikes safe, but please remember your bike lock.)

No surprises here. We use this house as our second home for our vacations. We do expect that our house is treated with care and clean when you return it to us. Our house is safe (smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors and a fire extinguisher) and very well maintained. We also have great neighbors!

house is conveniently close to playground, bay, beach and boardwalk, coffee shop, downtown Asbury Avenue shops. all walkable.

***we do require a (refundable) security deposit and lease signing. Pet fee $150.00 for each dog as described. Dogs allowed only. Non shedding, house trained dogs. No cats. Please also note that we have landscaped this lovely yard. It is perfect for lounging & enjoying. It is NOT a dog park.

We were so pleased with our stay in this adorable house. The inside was clean, cozy, and beautifully decorated. The outside space was so comfortable and nice to have. Fenced-in grass yard was ideal since we brought our dog along. Felt private and cozy our entire stay. We loved the location. Walking distance to the public dock at the bay, Aqua Park, and the Farmers Market/shopping at Asbury. We enjoyed easy walks for coffee and breakfast within a block. The owner, Tricia, was incredibly accessible and helpful throughout the entire rental process and our stay! Would love to stay here again!

Private, quiet stay in OC

As a local to south jersey, the location of this property is perfect. Far enough away from downtown OC, yet close enough to walk everywhere. The fenced in yard was very private and quiet, and the balcony upstairs was also great. Would stay again

Great place! Would go back again!

We really enjoyed our one week stay at this home. It was nice and clean and had everything we need to feel comfortable. The location was also perfect if you are trying to stay away from the crowded part of OC, but still close to everything. The host Patricia was super nice and friendly. The fenced yard and the parking spot right in front of the door was a nice bonus for us and the kids. We would strongly recommend this place!

Fantastic shore rental

We were so bummed to leave!! The property absolutely exceeded expectations. Plenty big enough for our small family plus dog and the north end location with off street parking made it so convenient to do the things we love to do. Morning trips to the Longport bridge dog beach, walks to the bay to catch a sunset or to the shopping or eateries on Asbury Ave. The fenced in yard was such a big plus not only for our dog Rocco but all of us enjoyed the outdoor spaces. We laid in the hammock, grilled and ate dinner on the patio, hung out & had drinks, and played cards on 2nd story deck, It also provided a secure space to store our bikes that we used often to visit family and friends staying further away. The interior condition of the home reflected pride in ownership. Our stay couldn’t have been more comfortable. Tricia was a pleasure. Very attentive and easy to work with prior to our stay. We would jump at the chance to rent again!! So thankful for our week at the “Oarhouse”

Relaxing Ocean City getaway

My wife and I went here with our 13-month-old daughter for a week in June. It was the first vacation we took in a couple years since the pandemic, and we were hoping for something relaxing and quiet. This place was perfect for us. Easy check-in, clean house, and Tricia was an excellent communicator throughout the whole stay. The house itself had everything we needed with a young child: fenced in private yard, 2 full bath, with kitchen and washer/dryer. My wife and I loved relaxing in the outdoor space after our daughter went to bed. The location was ideal for us: walkable to the beach but far enough away so it was very quiet. It also is conveniently located near the shopping district on Asbury. Overall A+ hosts and we absolutely would stay here again!

Lovely home for family vacation

Beautiful little home on quiet street in ocnj. The backyard is beautiful and well kept. Enjoyed morning coffee, as well as lunch and dinner on the patio. We have a newborn so we didn't venture to the beach, but this house was a great fit for us and allowed us to have a relaxing getaway in family friendly beach town.

Wonderful OCNJ experience

Once again this property and its owners have come through. With all the changes in the world our vacation was once again perfect. House was clean, owners were involved and my entire family enjoyed every minute. The owners worked with us step by step to ensure we would be comfortable and sure our stay would be as close to normal as can be. It was! The yard is perfect for our dog, the rooms are clean and spacious. All the amenities are in working order with extras that make life easier. Ocean City Cottage

My sister and I and our two pets had an extended stay in October 2019 at this cute cottage in the north end of Ocean City, New Jersey. It's located a few blocks from the bay and a half mile from the ocean. The house is in walking distance to the shopping area on Asbury Avenue. This house has all the comforts of "home". The owners are very friendly and respond when needed. This is not just a beach rental. It's also the owners' summer home. You will not be disappointed with this VRBO rental.

Perfect OCNJ experience!

This home is a perfect rental for a small family (my wife & 2 kids) with our 2 dogs. The property offers such a comfortable feel, with privacy and access to everything ocnj has to offer. It was like being at home with what the home offered & the renters were like neighbors with their help and friendliness. We spent a week there and would reccomend this rental to one and all! The upgrades the renters are putting into the house are accommodating, such as new awnings for shade, new flooring, remodeled bathrooms and much, much more. The furniture was clean (like new really), with a pull out bed for extra guests downstairs. Our 2 dogs were extremely satisfied with the spacious, fenced in, backyard. They could check out all the goings on with us not having to worry about them. The house is a 7 minute drive from Longport Dog Beach (another huge plus for us) and with location, no dealing with any traffic at all. They also give the home 5 stars. We rented bikes for the week (13th st) and with this location, we could not have asked for a better situation. It was a 5 minute bike ride to the boards, 2 minutes to the bay. Less traffic to deal with for our kids. Overall, this is a must see for the small family. Thank you Jim & Tricia for making our vacation what it was. You will hear from us again. We are Philadelphia area natives but have long family roots connecting us to OCNJ. We love this town. We love to bike, love the beach and boardwalk and are happy to share the good town vibes with our visitors.

Why they chose this property

We love the location of this house. It is close enough to everything and everywhere you want to go on the island. The house is in a quiet neighborhood and many of our neighbors are year round residents. Our unit itself is 800 sq feet - it is technically "half" of the the house pictured (split level home.) Big bonus is the backyard. WE love the backyard, and the tree. (it's a great tree!)

What makes this property unique

great for young kids, great for outdoor dining. We eat most meals on our back patio during the warm weather.
