This is the second time we have stayed at Frances's place. The large space works well for our family of 5. There was one small hiccup on the owner's side, but all was resolved quickly and kindly.

This is a house with a lot of character and the hosts have provided wonderful extras like lotion, duvets, and games for a variety of ages. The stairs can be a bit of a workout when carrying a lot of luggage or making multiple trips up and down, and for our situation, an open staircase with a toddler was not ideal. However, for a group of friends or a family with older children, there is room to spread out and have both individual and community space. It's very much like home for a longer stay (we were there for five nights.) The neighborhood is super quiet and within walking distance of Market Street.

Wonderful place to stay

We had a wonderful experience staying here. Accommodations were clean and instructions were provided to help us find things. Communication with the owner was efficient and friendly. An information binder gave us some fascinating history of the property and tips about the area. The house is a 15 minutes downhill walk to the Gaffer District, and brief easy drive to the Museum of Glass. We would gladly stay here again.

Beautiful suite, great location!

Loved our stay here-- house is extremely convenient to Corning attractions, spacious rooms with a nice kitchen, and kids loved the balconies and other interesting architectural features (plus foosball table). Hosts were consistently helpful and friendly; loved getting to meet Dodger! We hope to stay again the next time we're in the area.

Friendly helpful renter

It was a good, pleasant stay in regard to overall experience but I wished I knew few things. 1. Hope I knew in advance quite time was after 9pm. As we had two energetic kids we would have then avoided the property so the owner and us both had a peace of mind instead of back and forth messages. 2. The toilet had no lock. Rest all 5 stars.

Quiet weekend in a beautiful town

The property was unique and very well equipped. The location was very convenient. The home owners were very kind. There are a lot of activities to fill a weekend in the surrounding area. We hope to return next year.

Absolutely loved staying at this place.

Frances and Tom were excellent hosts. Their guest suite is very clean and we had a very comfortable stay at the guest suite we rented. It’s very spacious, we were family of four so for us it was very spacious, it can sleep 7 people. We loved our stay there for two nights, it’s close to Corning NY down town. Market st we walked to which has very good options of restaurants and some shops. Watkins Glen state park is 35 mins from place. We really were very happy with our stay. We look forward to come back and visit in future. Highly recommend place.

Fantastic stay in Corning.

Frances was very prompt with all communications. She and her husband greeted us upon our arrival and gave us a tour. We enjoyed their home for a great weekend in Corning!

The listing states that the suite has 1 bathroom. Vast majority of the big groups stayed have no problem with that at all, perhaps those concerned about number of bathroom, would not book the place to start with.

What a gem!!

This was such a beautiful, quiet house. Corning was a really fun town, and the house added so much to our stay. Wonderfully nice, thoughtful touches from our hosts, including offering their old infant tub for us to bathe our baby, rather than wrangle a slippery baby in the shower. Little chocolates, bath robes, herbal soap, board games...so many unexpected little things. And we got to pet their dog too! The ONLY downside (if you could call it that?) was getting a workout going up and down several flights of stairs, but so much charm in the house. Would 100% stay here again. Tom and Frances were great hosts.

Comfortable suite with 4 distinct bedrooms. Lots of options for gathering or privacy.

The owners are friendly and accommodating. I spent a nice fall weekend sharing the space with a couple friends. The neighborhood is full of beautiful Victorian homes and close to downtown. Would certainly stay again and could easily fit my family of 5. James P.
