The Morning Glory Craftsman

Enjoy our spacious 1 bedroom first floor apartment with large kitchen, dining room, and living room that give you a sense of home. The deep double lot with fenced in back yard has plenty of outdoor space. We offer off street parking with room for multiple vehicles. Our home is close to the center of town, with restaurants just a quick walk away. This house has fantastic character!
The bedroom offers a queen bed that sleeps two, and the couch in the livingroom is equivalent to a twin bed and can be utilized as needed. There is also a queen sized futon in the living room for additional space.
We offer discounts for longer stays, along with recommendations to local eateries, wineries, breweries, and activities. Overall the house can sleep 4. We welcome everyone to come see what we have to offer!

Lock the doors
Please make sure that the only trash you place in the yellow trash can is in white kitchen sizes trash bags. Any dog waste bags loose in yellow can will result in a fee to be rebagged.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
All trash placed in outdoor trash can MUST be in a clear or white trash bag, per city laws. $50 fee will be changed if we have to re-bag waste.
Do not attach any items to glass windows, or open historic window without propping. All windows and doors need to be locked when house is not occupied
No incense or smoking/vaping. Extra cleaning fee of $150 will be charged.

We had a great stay while in town for a wedding! Property as described, owners super communicative, and they even left cold water in the fridge! Decor was eclectic and welcoming, and featured several MCM aspects (light fixtures, tables and chairs). Spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room for the two of us and the furkids. Would definitely stay again! PS…loved the gnomes and the paintings!

Host was excellent. The outside is in desperate need of some TLC. The inside is quaint and was clean. Kitchen was functional but lacked some basic needs like a toaster or pans that aren't so worn out everything sticks. It is conveniently located and I would stay again.

I was in town for the Elmira Country Club best Ball tournament. House was well appointed and several cold waters in the fridge was a very nice touch. House was quite spacious and even had a washer and dryer. I would certainly stay again.

great little house--tons of room! very warm and historic. the ambiance of the house was very welcoming with up to date features like a great laundry room and spacious dining area. hosts kept in touch for our needs. the only thing i would capitalize on for other travelers is that the 4th person would need to sleep on the couch (which is comfortable and long!) the new twin bed is like sleeping on a cotton ball like a new baby--all cozy and warm. the arrangement worked perfectly for my family but others may expect something different. thanks for making our trip "just like home"! 5 stars!

Enjoyed Our Stay in Elmira

The property worked well for us, very large as we were only two people. The location was convenient, with loads of parking eat in kitchen, great TV options and friendly neighbours. We used the house as a base to visit Elmira, Corning and Watkins Glen State Park. Enjoyed a wonderful meal at the Siam Elephants Thai Restaurant.

It had streaming tv. No cable. If you wanted to cook there no cookie sheets, crock pot, toaster or much silverware. The oven gloves had holes in them.

It's an older but very spacious cottage with everything you need. The owners are very nice and accommodate almost every need. The furniture is mostly a bit dated, and the windows are thin, but the heating system is good. There's also air conditioning in the living rooms and ventilation in the bathroom. The cleanliness of the bed linens and other textiles was top-notch, as was the kitchen and bathroom. The other rooms were also all clean, although some surfaces and drawers were dusty. There were cobwebs on the high ceilings, which we removed ourselves with the provided dust mop. During our stay, the switch between the faucet and shower didn't work properly, which was a bit inconvenient. We would definitely book this accommodation again because the many positives clearly outweigh the few negatives, and the owners are very decent and nice people. The location was excellent for our needs, and the price was reasonable. All in all, a very pleasant stay.

Would stay here again!

Kamilla was a great host because she communicated proactively (re: check-in) and asked us to let her know of any issues we had during our stay. We stayed on the first floor of the Morning Glory Craftsman duplex. The rental was very clean and the backyard was quite spacious and fairly private despite the fact that it's located in a neighborhood. It's a wonderful spot for pets! The home had everything we needed for our 2 night stay: clean towels, linens, kitchen supplies. We were able to park our van conveniently in the driveway towards to back of the home, which was great.
