Our group of seven had an incredible time at the Blue House. From the high end appliances, ecologically-friendly remodel, heated floors, and hot tub, this was the perfect home base for our ski outings. Joanna was an excellent hostess, making sure that the lights and heat were on for us. She responded quickly to any questions/requests that we had. We had the most amazing vacation and can't wait to return to the Blue House!
The Blue House is on a quiet street just a block or two from the main shopping and nightlife of Telluride. It is near the quick shuttle line to the ski gondola but also close enough to walk. The house is cozy and well furnished. The large kitchen counter is the heart of the house where you will gather after skiing to discuss the days adventures. The hot tub is a delight. The bathrooms are modern and well appointed. The master bedroom is large and pleasant although the bed in the master bedroom was a bit too firm for my taste. There are enough other comfortable beds in the house that we had more than enough options for our family. It is a lovely comfortable house and well located. If we return to Telluride we would certainly enjoy staying at The Blue House again.
After staying here twice for Bluegrass, the Blue House is starting to feel like my home away from home - if only I could afford a fabulous 3 bedroom home with a hot tub in Telluride! The house is two blocks from the exit of all of the town festivals, and you can hear the music from the hot tub in the side yard. The house is set up very well for a group of people, with a huge great kitchen that is a joy to cook in. The bathrooms and bedrooms are beautiful, and the new-in-2015 hot tub is amazing.
My family and I just returned from a fantastic trip to Telluride and stayed in this wonderful house. There were quite a few of us, including 4 very small children and it worked for us perfectly, especially because we were all coming and going during the day. There is so much to do so close by, even for the non skiers of the group (shopping, library, park, sledding hill, etc...) The house is just as it is described in the VRBO listing and then some... the kitchen is stocked with great cooking supplies, the hot tub is fantastic and easy to use, and the large playroom is excellent for children to have there own space. I cannot say more about this wonderfully cozy family home. We will be back!
Located steps from Town Park, hiking trails out the back door like Jud Weibe, Bear Creek and Tomboy. Walk to ski lifts, bars, food, entertainment. Free bus picks up every 10 minutes half block from the house. No car needed when renting this location.
