We stayed at Karema's house in Sandisfield, MA - group of 9 - 4 adults and 5 teens. We had enough room so we weren't on top of each other - kids paired up took 3 bedrooms. The only thing we had to jockey a bit was the bathroom - there are 2 bathrooms but only one had a shower. Apparently no one in our group was a fan of a soak. We did not get a chance to venture across the street to the stream - it was pretty cold in February so didn't go out venturing except to say hello to the friendly billy goats. They were so affectionate, they are like dogs - too adorable. The wood burning stove in the kitchen was great and warmed us up at night. Kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, bartender shaker (very important), all sorts of gadgets (fancy wine bottle openers that I'm afraid of) and cabinet stuff that is handy like salt/pepper, olive oil. Plenty of towels and toilet paper. I never did laundry but had a nice set up. The beds were extra firm, which suits me just fine - i hate soft mattresses. We went to Lee and G Barrington....all well within 20-25 minutes - I didnt really find G.B that "great", BUT found the BEST vintage store ever created - love, love, love Boho Exchange. Serious good finds there if you are into that. There are a few consignment shops in the area as well. I'm still thinking about Boho Exchange - extraordinary finds for sure. Went to Lee, while smaller town, has a bit more charm in my opinion - they have antique shop there Finders Keepers - spent at least an hour there - great assortment of stuff you don't need but plan to leave with a little sumthin. Overall, the house was great, comfortable (which is most important) and clean (okay, this is important too). You will not be disappointed.
