Huge flat in a great location

The location of the flat could not be better - walking distance from the train station and in the heart of Pau. Andre was a wonderful host and explained all the amenities very well. More space than I knew what to do with and very clean decor. Will definitely be back!

Majestic mountains and historic sites.

The property is perfectly situated at the edge of the Boulevard des Pyrenees, a beautiful walking path with the mountains overhead.The center of town is just a few blocks away. A treasure-trove of restaurants and historic sites are key to the city’s pleasures. There are small villages nearby by bus or train.

Pau as we remember it

our stay was in an older building in the very centre of the city of Pau. The Blvd. de Pyrenees close at hand...just as we remember it from a time we lived in the city.

Fabulous apartment in the heart of Pau

We had a fabulous stay in this beautiful, spacious and comfortable apartment in Pau. Andre was an excellent host who welcomed us and went through everything in the apartment and around Pau with us. The apartment is in a perfect position within walking distance of all the major sites in the old town as well as shops, restaurants, cafes, bars and supermarkets. The views of the Pyrenees from outside the building were magnificent. Would highly recommend this apartment.

Sensational apartment Pau

From first communication the host Andre was extremely helpful. The apartment was both spacious and magical and located perfectly in the centre of delightful Pau. The experience was well beyond our highest expectation.

Pau is amazing

The apartment was fantastic. Lots of room, beautiful apartment/building and fantastic location with site seeing and great restaurants within a few minute walk. Andre was very good to communicate with. There was no parking but a large lot was available for 3 euros a day and was only a five minute walk away. Pau is an absolutely beautiful city. We enjoyed our time there immensely.

Property was very nice. Again not enough hand soap in bathroom and kitchen. Only one set of keys provided, when I locked the doors on the way out of the apartment, I was locking everyone left in the apartment in. Not really good for people left inside the apartment should a fire start.

Ideal apartment and location

Andre's apartment is truly spacious and extremely comfortable. It's a place suitable for long term stays, though fine for short term. The elevator makes moving luggage in and out quite easy. It's very convenient to so much of what Pau has to offer, Boulevard des Pyrenees, good restaurants, the Chateau, Place Clemenceau, the Funicular, and the Monoprix is an excellent little market just about five minute walk away. And perhaps the best thing about this rental is Andre himself. We were splitting our three week Pau stay into two different rentals with a few days in St. Jean de Luz in between. We didn't want to take all our luggage with us to the small hotel room we'd be in, Andre graciously agreed to store it for us and met us in front of the building on a very stormy Sunday--he literally went the extra mile! Highly recommended, hope to stay there again some day.

The Place to Stay in Pau

I cannot say enough good things about our experience in Andrés apartment. He was there to greet us upon arrivadl and briefed us on the ins and outs of the apartment. It was as described but larger than I had imagined. There is plenty of room and it is very well equipped. The location could not have been better as we could walk to all of the places of interest in the town and every time we left the apartment there were the Pyrenees in their glory. We had a problem in that my wife was ill and I had emailed André ahead of our arrival and asked if he could arrange a doctor's appointment for us which he did. It was the evening of our arrival and André drove us to the clinic then to the hospital where my wife was admitted. He stayed with us for several hours to make sure everything was taken care of. During the week, he was in daily contact checking on the well being of my wife. He was the perfect landlord and no request was too much for him to address. If visiting Pau, which I highly recommend, Andrés apartment is the only place to stay. You will love it!

Nous avons été très bien accueullis par André, très sympathique, qui nous a fait découvrir l'appartement superbement aménagé et bien équipé. Appartement dans un immeuble calme, classé M.H, situé idéalement dans le quartier historique, à 2 pas des commerçants et des restaurants. Nous remercions André. Nous reviendrons très certainement, avec plaisir. Anecdote : André, qui nous lira (et sourira), doit penser au panier à salade...

Für Ferien im Bereich der Pyrennees Atlantik super geeignet.

Ein sehr freundlicher, zuvorkommender Vermieter! Die Wohnung ist perfekt eingerichtet und hat alles was man zum Kochen braucht. Die Lage in der Stadt ist sehr gut und auch ruhig. Parkplatz nicht weit und überwacht, kostet 3€ pro Tag

Apartamento espectacular

Precioso apartamento, es incluso mejor que lo que se aprecia en las fotos. Tranquilo, amplio, luminoso y muy limpio. La cocina completamente equipada con todo lo necesario y la sala de baño muy amplia y cómoda, y al esta el wc separado, resulta muy práctico. El edificio donde se ubica el apartamento es magnífico, justo al lado de la catedral, del bolulevard y del castillo. Punto inmejorable. Solo puedo decir que merece la pena alojarse en este apartamento, se disfruta mucho, y además la atención del propietario, André, fue fantástica. Volveremos, sin duda.

Surpassed elegance and location!

I can’t say enough about this magnificent Vrbo! It was like walking into a dream of living in a chateau and having the best location on top of it. Everything was perfect. The best Vrbo I have ever stayed at. Finding parking was the only difficulty but Andre helped us until we found an underground parking space that was close to the Vrbo. I wish we could have stayed longer…we would definitely come back and stay at Andre’s Vrbo in Pau!

Nous avons adoré l'accueil d'André. L'appartement est extrêmement bien situé, en plein coeur de la cité historique de Pau. restaurants et terrasses à proximité. A deux pas du château. l'appartement est très grand, vraiment bien équipé, très propre. Vaste espace de liberté

André a été un très bon guide pour nous faire découvrir son vaste appartement au cachet victorien. Proche du centre ville et du magnifique boulevard des Pyrénées , nous avons passé un excellent séjour à Pau.

Gorgeous Property

We really loved this place and had an excellent stay. The property ticks all of the boxes and more. Pics do not do it justice, it is a real character property. Historic building, huge rooms, beautiful finishings, high ceilings, big windows, bright and quiet. We really enjoyed sitting in the kitchen which has great views on one side to a courtyard and the other side to a nice street, it is kind of a bridge between two buildings and cars... can pass underneath. The kitchen is very well equipped if you are inclined to eat in, but we found the foods and restaurants in the area to be exceptional. We had great sleeps, the bedroom was super quiet and has a big, comfy bed. The location is excellent close to everything. The owner André is a sweetheart - he was responsive through the whole process and couldn't have been more welcoming. We had a great visit and hope to stay again !

A lovely visit

The apartment is quite exceptional and I have stayed in many. The original building, the Hôtel Gassion, was one of Europe’s Grand Hotels and has been converted, very sympathetically, to provide individual accommodation. The Gassion is situated on the Boulevard de Pyrénées, near the famous Château, in the most attractive and interesting part of Pau. The apartment is both exceptionally spacious and very well equipped. André the host is just a very nice person. I now return every year as I have enjoyed it so much, André always helps, friendly and making every effort to ensure your stay is as pleasant as possible. I would highly recommend this terrific apartment in a lovely town.
