Camp Legacy is a year-round, beautiful, secluded cabin featuring 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, 3 levels of living space including a Great Room (18 ft. cathedral ceiling) with River Rock Fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen, large basement rec. room with TV, DVD Player, ping pong and foosball tables. Built in 2001 Camp Legacy offers all the comforts of a new home with the rustic feel of a traditional Adirondack Camp. It is located within minutes of great cross-country and downhill skiing, mountain biking, hiking, swimming, canoeing, and whitewater rafting.

Fun Stay Over Christmas

We had an enjoyable stay at the Legacy House over the Christmas break. The house was clean and cozy. Plenty of firewood for the fireplaces. Nice location - close to Gore Mtn and cross country skiing center. Had fun and made great memories.

Great leaf peeping

The cabin was very comfortable and well-equipped. We especially liked the screened porch and fire pit. The Garnet Hill amenities were great and the area very picturesque. Unfortunately, we did not see any bears. We hope to be back.

Private large log cabin

Private mountain log home surrounded by trees. Access to private beautiful beach on thirteenth lake with clear Adirondack waters. Fire pit with plenty of firewood was great. Main floor and second floor very clean and can sleep 8 people with 2 full baths. The lower basement level is musty that can sleep 6 more people. My family did not like it down there. Mouse turds on beds. We stayed in August and it was very hot with no air conditioning. Fans did help. Some spring cleaning was needed for screens and window wells. Upgrade needed to back deck as railing very loose. Washing machine won’t finish its cycle. Regardless of these issues, we had a great time.

Perfect for a cozy vacay in the ADK’s

We had a wonderful time at the cabin. Our group spanned young children to teens and adults and we all had a place to sleep and hang out. We were surprised at how perfect the beach was, and how little it mattered that it was a short drive down the road. We spent several days and evenings there and it was so lovely with great swimming, views, peace and quiet from no motors in the water. Thanks to the hosts for allowing use of kayaks and canoes as that made it even more enjoyable. The house was comfortable even with out air, though the upstairs rooms were a little warm at night even with use of fans. There are a few things that could be fixed or updated like the washing machine/dryer which never worked well, the outside railing on the porch which is unsafe, and an extra bathrooom. But these were minor and we still thought the house was well stocked and comfortable. Kitchen was great for cooking and had everything we needed. We hope to come back again!!

Legacy House stay

The house is ideal. The screened porch and deck, the basement with ping pong and Foosball, access to kayaks and canoes. A large living space to gather. This place has everything you need. We are a much smaller group than the house can easily accommodate, but it still feels cozy. The kitchen is exceptionally well stocked, and the mudroom is convenient for keeping organized. We've had a great stay.

Great Cabin in the Woods

We had a really nice time at this cabin. The cabin had everything we needed to relax for the week. Basement was a fun space to enjoy with ping pong and foosball table and a nice fire pit to enjoy in the backyard. The kitchen was well organized and had every thing you could need. Before I booked the host was easy to communicate with and answered questions quickly. After booking the host provided all the information needed for easy check in and info about the cabin. We were lucky with nice warm weather so enjoyed swimming in 13th lake a few times at the private beach nearby with beautiful mountain views.

Exactly what we needed!

The cabin was perfect, not too much nearby but that’s what we wanted. Groceries and a few restaurants within 15 minutes. Would definitely book here and again and bring more family members. It’s a really cool place!

Perfect getaway location.

This is a great house for enjoying everything the area has to offer and relaxing with family and friends. The lay out is for a group with kids and the setting is very private. The owners were extremely communicative and helpful. We will definitely be back!

Another Great Trip at Legacy House

We are repeat visitors and love the Legacy House more and more with each stay. The basement is perfect for the kids as they have their own space and the living area is great for the adults. Snow was great this year at Gore, which made for a perfect ski weekend!

Amazing Property

The house is very spacious and 11 of us stayed comfortably. The kitchen has everything you need. The adirondack chairs on the back porch were perfect to relax and grill. The great room with beautiful fireplace had the perfect atmosphere to sit and catch up. The kids loved playing Foosball and ping pong after picking out their bunks. We spent hours down at the lake and didn't want to leave. Overall everyone loved staying here.

Amazing place

The property is beautiful inside and out. VERY well stocked for your stay. Cooking, toiletries, ect. There was excellent communication from the property owners. Truly one of the best VRBO stays I have had.

Peace and Solitude

My family was very happy with the home and property we stayed at. Multiple times prior to our stay I reached out to the manager who was extremely responsive and answered all of our questions promptly. The house was as advertised and we may rent again. Access to Thirteenth Lake was easy and enjoyable. Our Grandsons and son in law had a great afternoon in the lake. We felt at home.

This was a lovely stay at this Cabin.

We had a great time at the cabin. Access to the lake was wonderful and so peaceful. It was just a short drive down the road. The house had everything we needed to have a lovely stay. We played games and played outside and it was wonderful for multiple families with kids.

Family Vacation

I love this property! Just the perfect place for my children and grandchildren to spend time together and make memories! Tim Street is very accommodating and let us get in a little early to start our vacation. Can't wait to go again!

Long summer weekend

The property lived up to its description, and the impressive pics online actually did not do it justice. Just a beautiful place, with everything we needed, even leftover nonperishable staples. There were books, games, dvds, decorations. Ten adults stayed there for three nights, and we did not feel crowded. Occasionally one had to wait for a bathroom, but even that wasn't a big problem. The only improvement I'd suggest would be a dehumidifier for the basement bunk area; it was a little damp in the summer. We all loved the house and yard, and wished we could have stayed longer. We're already talking about returning. Communication from the owner and from VRBO were friendly and informative, and the process was easy with no problems. I highly recommend this property!

Wonderful vacation!

Our family gathered at this beautiful home to celebrate our dad's 80th birthday and we loved every minute! The house is spacious, clean, and well stocked. We loved the very accessible hikes and swimming nearby. The kids really enjoyed the games downstairs and s'mores from the firepit at night. Couldn't imagine a better spot!

Mountain Top Getaway

The home was everything described . We had a cool start to the vacation so the wood stove played a role keeping the chill off .All amenities were as described and also labeled within the home for ease in locating. The home had a manual to guide you also. Owners were easily accessible to answer any of your questions. You have Lake George within 40 mins but home is located out of touristy area so you can have a nice relaxing vacation. Unfortunately we had to cut our vacation short for a family emergency but we would return .

Peaceful and quiet

If you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful option, this is it. The home is set back on a beautiful non paved road making you feel part of nature right away. Plenty of space for a larger group. Though we did not take advantage of the ping pong or Foosball table, it was definitely nice to have options. If you have Tmobile or Verizon you will not have cell service here unless you utilize your wifi calling option on your smartphone. The owner has provided you with a landline to give to anyone that may need to reach you. We enjoyed our stay and know you will too.

Cozy Cabin! Great for families!

We truly enjoyed our stay. We were looking for a place close to a ski Mountain. Gore was a quick 15 min drive away. Everything was clean and organized. And the owner was available for any question. We will be coming back!

Guys annual weekend ski retreat

It was the perfect location for myself and 7 of my ski buddies for four nights. the house had eveything we needed including all the stuff needed to cook our meals and room to consume them in. Also plenty of hot water for all to shower at the end of a cold ski day. the location was very close to Gore ski area. Tim was also a great host and answered all of our pre trip questions. We hope to return in the furture.

Thank you so much for your interest in Legacy House. I own the house in partnership with my sister. The property was purchased by our parents in 1970 and the house was built in 2001 after both our parents passed away. It means a great deal to us and we consider it the legacy that our parents left us, hence the name.
