Inviting 3-Level A-frame Cabin with Spacious Deck, Amenities, Great Location

Reconnect with fresh mountain air, tall pines, and the serenity of nature in an authentic high-Sierra setting while staying in an inviting A-frame cabin with all the amenities. Curl up in front of the large stone fireplace for a glass of wine, or to watch a movie with family or friends. Enjoy outdoor cabin leisure with over 1000 sq. feet of wrap-around deck space, an outdoor firepit with wooden seating, and a horseshoe pit. Stay connected with fiber-optic high speed wireless internet when work, or school, just can't be missed.

Our 3-level A-frame cabin has a living room, kitchen, bathroom and master bedroom on the ground floor (king bed). The middle floor has a game room (ping pong table, piano, and fold out futon), bathroom, and guest bedroom (king bed and twin bed). Optional use of the third floor with two king beds and multiple twin beds (6) will come in handy for larger families or multiple friends vacationing together. Our updated kitchen and bathrooms are cabin themed with granite counter tops. Washer and dryer are also onsite.

You'll be away from the crowds, but just a short 3 mile drive to the quaint restaurants and amenities in the town of Shaver Lake, and just over 20 miles to China Peak Ski Resort.

Great cabin for family getaway!

This property had plenty of room for two families with kids of all ages. Plenty of space for adults to hang out, kids to play, and plenty of sleeping space. This is a great location for summer or winter! The owner was very responsive in answering the few questions we had upon check in.

Perfect Family Cabin

We had the absolute best time staying in this 3 story cabin. The three levels were great for separating families/kids. It would almost be impossible to run out of beds here. The kids were pleasantly surprised to see how many options they had. The dining room table was large enough for our entire family to gather around for meals and playing games. The fireplace added just enough warmth to the place to feel extra cozy and the Roku TV with Disney + and Netflix was an added touch. The house was stocked with plenty of linens, towels, trash bags, shampoo, detergent, coffee, you name it. But by far the best thing about the house was the ability to go sledding right in the backyard. We had the perfect little snowy getaway and can't wait to go back. Thanks for the hospitality, Chris and Un!

Cabin in the woods of Shaver Lake

We enjoyed our stay here and will definitely come again. I wanted to bring my teens to China Peak and we enjoyed the cabin much more as it snowed here and the kids were able to sled down the hill of the home. Very clean and had all we need. Highly recommend.

Christmas winter wonderland

We had a great time staying at Casado Cabin! The cabin was very cozy and welcoming. Everything was accessible with easy instructions. On our last day there was soo much snowfall and it was a perfect ending for our Christmas weekend.

Family cabin

Hi there! If you're looking at this listing, you've found a hidden gem. That's how we felt when we first walked into this cabin in 2015, and decided to purchase it for our growing family. We have three kids, many cousins, aunts, uncles, etc. who all enjoy sharing time away from the hustle and bustle of every days life at our Shaver Lake cabin. All worries get left behind, life slows down, and great memories are made. We hope a stay at our cabin has an equally positive impact on you and your loved ones.

Why they chose this property

This property is great because it is so versatile. Just looking for a romantic retreat? This works! Stay in the downstairs bedroom, and leave the door to the upstairs shut. It's like a small, private, cozy getaway. Keep all the heat downstairs and pretend the upstairs doesn't even exist!

Have friends or another couple you'd like to escape with? This works! Open the door to the second floor and now you each have your private space, while vacationing together. For three couples, or couples with kids, we suggest using the game room as the second bedroom with a quality queen size sofa. There are also a twin bed in the upstairs bedroom and two twin foldouts in the game room.

Rolling in with a larger crew or three families? This works! Open the door to the third floor and your sleeping space more than doubles. We call the 3rd floor "The Peak" --- its where our kids sleep, or where we sometimes sneak up to when ready to take a nap. Our peak sleeps 10 on two king beds and 6 twin beds. There is something specially about having a cabin with three floors... families love it.

What makes this property unique

Wood burning fireplace... nothing says the mountains like the radiant heat from a crackling fire when the temperatures drop. Wood is included. When it snows, the back hill is perfect for sledding.
