The log guest house is impeccably clean and features radiant in-floor heating and a gas standing fireplace for cozy winter nights and air conditioning for our warm Montana summers. It is truly an artisan home and has handmade craftsman features throughout. From the custom cut slate kitchen & bathroom floors to the hand forged iron work throughout to the custom built oak and alder furniture with hand carved hounds feet to original artwork on the walls, you will be enveloped with relaxation as soon as you step foot inside. Wireless internet, blue tooth speaker to play your own music, and Dish Network TV are provided. Board games and cards are also available! Outside is a wrap around deck with flowing flower pots everywhere. Enjoy outdoor dining, relaxation on the patio, and croquet/games in the large backyard. Herb garden outside the entry door. 25 acres of woods to explore, snowshoe, and spend quiet time in nature. Borrow our float tubes to float the Whitefish River or hang out at the lake. It is completely private with separate entrances.

The home is just minutes away from the FCA airport, Amtrak station, the town of Whitefish, the ski area, many local lakes and golf courses and yet you feel completely immersed in tranquility when you drive down the ¼ mile driveway. Experience serenity from all directions with views of gardens and flowers from the wrap around deck and watch wildlife meander through the forested property and fawns frolicking in the yard.

The Master Suite is generously sized. Located downstairs, walk out the French doors to the outdoor patio to enjoy the glorious flowers and seating area. It features a custom built king size log bed which is appointed with premium bedding, pillows and linens. This room is magical for people that claim they can never sleep. Frequent comments tell us that they have never slept so soundly! There is a tub/shower combination which features heat lamps as you exit in the large master bathroom. There is considerable closet space. There is a 10x make-up mirror attached to the wall.

The second bedroom is on the main floor and features a custom built queen sized log bed which is appointed with premium bedding, pillows and linens. It is just steps from the second bathroom. The cozy room makes you feel tucked in and ready for a good night’s rest. There is a large closet with shelves and hanging bars.

The second bathroom is on the main floor and features a walk in shower. Look out the window to the sun room filled with plants, trees and flowers, especially during the winter. The custom built antique cabinet can hold all of your bathroom accessories easily.

The third bedroom is located in the loft above the kitchen and living room and is accessed through open log steps and is nestled under the vaulted ceilings. Twin beds appointed with premium bedding, pillows and linens are on opposite sides of the loft. Cozy up in the chair to read or day dream and feel like you’re on top of the world.

The kitchen is fully stocked to cook and bake. There are plenty of dishes and glassware for your stay. We stock basic spices, and other cooking supplies that you would only need a small amount in order to prepare your meal. During the summer, the herb garden is outside your front door and fresh fruits and veggies are just a walk down the path to the one acre garden. All are generously shared with guests. There is a crock pot inside to set it and forget it or a gas grill outside on the deck. Appliances include full size oven, microwave and a new full size refrigerator.

The guest house shares a log wall with the main house. There is complete privacy including separate entrances for your stay. The owners are very active in the community and enjoy the outdoors - "playland" as they like to call it. If they're not hiking or skiing, they're puttering in the garden! They are available should you have questions or need anything. Their two golden retrievers will be happy to show you around the property!
