This delightful large, affordable self contained & self catering double studio on the ground floor of this period Victorian house in Barons Court (W14). An ideal base for exploring London, situated close to Barons Court Tube (District & Piccadilly line-great for Heathrow), meters from Queens Club (LTA Tennis Championships). You can enjoy all the comforts of home, we are an ideal establishment for both leisure and business breaks, where privacy and comfort are a number one priority and free Wi Fi comes as standard. Perfect for 1 to 2 people

The large studio is fully self contained and as such you will have 'free reign' over the place.There is a fully fitted kitchen including oven, hob, and a washing machine. The area is quite large considering, with a area for dining table, and chairs, plus a two seater sofa , as well as two bedside tables, and wardrobe. TV with free view, Hair dryer, travel adapter plugs, plus many more 'small' things.

We live just a three minute walk from the premises, so we can be on hand, in the unlikely event that anything may arise. We like to welcome our guests personally and will always be there for your check-in, and to offer any help and advice.

I like to communicate with my guest (usually via email), to ensure everything is to your liking and that you are comfortable in the studio. If you have any questions I would be happy if you contact have a a 'welcome' booklet listing just about everything you would need - if there is anything that isn't covered my email address & phone number are in this booklet.

Barons Court is situated in West London, within the Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham. It is close to the River Thames (with a 17th century River Pub), the Queen’s Club is only 70 to 80 meters away which holds the annual LTA Tennis Championship before Wimbledon. There is a very unique theatre on the same road in a friendly pub. The area is predominately residential.

Car parking is not included and you would have to pay and display. The underground/tube network is only a 4min walk away, Barons Court Station, for the District Line & Piccadilly Line which is great for Heathrow-travel on either of these lines to central London is 10-20min depending on where you go. The EasyBus to & from Gatwick terminates at West Brompton a 10min walk away.

Great Stay

Mia's place was fantastic. It was in a great location easy to get around within five minutes from tube station. Anything that you would possibly need Mia had and she was more than willing to take care of any issues you may have had. Mia was truly very accommodating and I would be more than happy to stay there again.

Terrific!

This apartment is a great bargain! The location is fantastic. The Barons Court and West Kensington Tube Stations are minutes away yet it’s so quiet. Mia is a perfect host - great communication before and during my stay and she has everything you might need in her clean and comfortable apartment. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!!

Mia is the absolute best!

This rental was absolutely Ideal!!! Great area with many accommodations!! Mia was an awesome host. She bent over backwards to help us out! She was hospitable in all aspects. Her place by far is the best vacation rental I have ever stayed in. Clean and so comfy. It felt like home. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RENTAL!!

Perfect London experience

We could not have selected a better spot for our trip to London. Mia was a perfect hostess. She was accessible and involved Just the right amount and I would give her 10 stars and two thumbs up. The studio was excellent for our needs and the location was ideally bear both tube stations, restaurants and grocery stops. We hope to be back soon! Ps it's just like the photos, perfectly appointed and very clean and well maintained!

Nice location

The location of the property is very convenient, particularly for people landing at Heathrow (there is a Picadilly line station very close to the apartment). It was clean and well-maintained. Pictures are accurate, what you see is what you get. There are several stores (and a pharmacy) nearby, including at least one that is working late. The owner is very friendly, kind and helpful.

Charming London Flat

The apartment was in a very charming London neighborhood! Although the pictures were an accurate description it was even better in person! The owner was quick to respond and answer all my questions. She met me at the door and walked me through the apartment and gave an overview of the area. The area was quiet but with enough people walking around to feel safe. The flat will be my first choice on my next London visit :)

Perfect in every way!

We stayed here for about a week and it was one of the best experiences I have ever had renting. Mia is not only welcoming and incredibly kind she has thought of everything. She was available for questions and issues and checked in. Although we had zero issues. This is a great location for jumping on the tube and close to grocery stores and a lovely pub. I would definitely recommend this studio and we plan on staying again next time we are in London! Thank you for everything Mia!!

A 5-Star-stay

We so enjoyed our 2nd visit to London by experiencing it in the SE neighborhood accessed by the Tube. Mia was a superb communicator and her assistance in our trip planning was extremely helpful. The pictures accurately reflect the studio apartment. It was clean as a whistle, very well stocked with oodles of literature to peruse sight-seeing options in the city. The neighborhood had a lovely variety of restaurants and shops in close proximity and was very quiet at night. We appreciated the personal welcome and the incredible treat of providing us access to the Queen's Club tennis tournament only a few steps away! A memory to enjoy for many years. Highly recommend.

Great little gem

We stayed four nights at this great little flat. The apartment was perfect for us. The space was very well organized - comfortable bed, well appointed kitchen, washing machine, nice bathroom and good tv. The location was fabulous - close to two tube stations that give you access to multiple train lines and most of all the big sites in London. The flat is located in a quiet neighborhood, yet you are in a big city. There is a great pub down the street (Curtains Up) that we ate at two nights. The flat is also walkable to the Chelsea neighborhood and other great areas. Mia is a great host. She met us at check in and checked in with us during our stay and after check out. I would highly recommend this flat for anyone visiting London and you don't mind staying in a studio.

Convenient, well equipped

From the first email to checkout, the host of this property Mia was a pleasure to deal with. She thought of everything and was immensely helpful and kind. The flat is very conveniently located, a five minute walk to the Tube station on the Piccadilly Line, but far enough away from the high street that it's quiet and calm. It's about a 20 minute Tube ride to downtown London, but the area is also served by buses that have interesting routes east-bound for sight-seeing. The property is small, but very well equipped, with full cooking and cleaning supplies. It was lovely to have fresh milk in the fridge on arrival, to find power adapters and hairdryers in the drawer, and a full selection of maps, tour brochures and guidebooks available for reference. Only one cavaet - in the heat of summer, it can be very warm, particularly after having been locked up all day. But this is a small thing. The listing description is accurate and the photos reflect the flat exactly as we found it. It was clean and well-maintained, with a good folder of local information, details about garbage collection, local services, restaurants, checkout planning, etc.

Good Location, Nice Flat, Security Issues

We stayed in this flat in February 2018 and it's located within easy walking distance of the local tube station. It's a first floor entrance and was perfect for our needs as it was large enough for two adult travelers. However, the shower curtain doesn't fully enclose the shower since part of the tub/shower sits below an overhang in the roof. That left it drafty and chilly. Overall, the flat was comfortable and clean. The other issue we had was that I was robbed while staying here. It was our last day in London, and my birthday no less, and when we returned from a day out of sightseeing, all of my jewelry had been stolen. I called the flat owner but, since it was close to midnight, there was no answer. I filed a police report, but have heard nothing. While the jewelry itself wasn't of high monetary value, the items were sentimental which makes them irreplaceable. The flat itself was great, so it’s easy to see why the owner has so many good reviews. Unfortunately, any place that is successful with tourists will become a target for this sort of petty theft. I just want to warn other travelers that this flat does not have a safe and could use some additional upgrades, like a steel security door and more secure windows. The flat was nice, but there were security issues.

This was one of my worst bookings My studio is for the everyday traveller, there is nothing of value in there and most people that stay, don't bring valuable items. The studio is where a working couple would live in London if it was rented long term. I thought it was a nightmare when Eli that stayed, informed me that they had been an alleged robbery, on their last night ! I was in total shock, in my eight years of hosting this has never happened. I called the police and they could not understand, that there were no signs of break in, the door was not touched , the windows were intact ,and secure, the master key to the front door, has to be ordered. What I find suspicious, the alleged robbers , did not take the TV, radio or anything else, the place was not ransacked Eli said " nothing had been moved, or touched and there was no sigh of a break in, but someone had gone into a drawer & took something" The keys to the studio are changed regularly as guest have lost them in the past & I am security conscious . We asked the other people who live in the building , who are trustworthy, hard working & have lived there for years, if they had seen anything , also I checked wth the cameras at The queens tennis club (on the corner) and nothing sinister was seen. If a flat was targeted they would target the whole house and make such a mess, I find these accusations hard to believe and questionable I asked the guest if she had insured her belongings and she confirmed her items , were covered. For other people reading this ,I can assure you that, this is not the norm and I have police reports , to back me up . With regards to the guest saying that any successful place becomes a target, I feel I have been targeted. Eli comment about more secure Windows and steel doors, seems somewhat over the top, also seeing none of the doors or windows were forced. The whole thing seems dubious to me. I stayed there for a week after this, to see if anything untoward may occur, nothing did. I asked the neighbours, not one of them noticed anything suspicious . It still baffles me, how the person got it, knew where to look , didn't make any mess at all, didn't break the window or door, and certainly did NOT have keys!!!!! This alleged incident has been most unfortunate, I have communicated with Eli and tried to alleviate any loss she claimed she had. I do hope she had her insurance claim covered I would like to add, I do not have a cleaner, I do all the work myself

Central, very clean, well-appointed

We loved staying in this sweet flat. It was nice to be so close to Barons Court tube station, which has the Piccadilly and District/Circle lines, making access to main attractions fast and simple. The neighborhood also had quite a few nice places to get a bite to eat. Our favorite was the little C'est Ici coffee shop, right by the station. They had hearty sandwiches, pastries, good coffee, and some nice outdoor seating in the back. So convenient to grab a breakfast sandwich on our out in the morning! There was also a street about 5 min walk away that had a lot of restaurants and food shops (Tesco, Co-Op, Waitrose, as well as small grocers). The flat was well-appointed, with all the kitchen items we needed, as well as a fan (it was quite hot and humid while we were in London) and a bathtub. It was also nice to be able to open the windows to get a cross-draft. We did miss having a freezer because it was hot while we were there, but in most cases, we wouldn't have missed that at all. The tropical weather was a rarity! Mia was extremely responsive and helpful, giving us advice about the best way to get to places. While we were there, there was some kind of city-wide wi-fi issue and she was responsive in explaining what was going on. The only con I can think of was the noise, which is not something anyone can control. The flat is right next to the front door, so we heard the door slam every time someone came in or went out. But it's hard to avoid noise in a big city like London. All in all, it was a great experience. We would stay there again.

Dear Shannon Thank you for the positive feed back, about the area and the studio You mentioned the front door slamming , the studio is in an old Victorian house and the door is very large and heavy, The door is on a spring which helps it close, so it doesn't stay ajar. You did mention in one of your emails to me that you were a light sleeper and your son did not wake at all to the sound of the door. I think if one is a light sleeper, then you will probably wake up or stir to most noises, especially , whilst staying in a new place. The wifi I have is provided by Virgin and they are supposed to be one of the best, when I popped over that day to get the password and ring them, I told you they were having a few problems and improving the service, since you stayed they seem to have improved and the wifi is good . I'm always about to help and fix the small issues, I answer emails and messages as soon as I get them, somethings are out of my control,, one being the wifi 😩�

A perfect welcome to London

Perfect studio apartment located close to Barons Court station with easy access to Central London. It is a great place to stay where your neighbours are local Londoners and no tourists in sight. The apartment had everything I needed for my week in London. Mia is a great host and even added a Christmas tree to the apartment as a nice welcome. Highly recommended and I would definitely stay here again.

Cozy apartment in perfect location

The apartment is very cozy and equipped with everything you need. The neighbourhood is friendly. Restaurants, shops and the tube (takes you directly into the center of London) are in close proximity to the aparment. The hostess is very friendly. So all in all we really enjoyed our stay there!

What’s great about London , it’s very transient, the noisy neighbour and his motorcycle won’t be living there for long . I spoke with him and he’s leaving soon.! What good luck for me! Shame you had to experience the noise. Can I ask my future guest to tell me something , I can actually change or work on . Overall a good rental, but had some issues

The property host was very helpful and friendly and the check in was very easy and super quick, even on a bank holiday! We arrived during a heat wave, it was 90F and the apartment was probably 100 when we checked in. I messaged the host for a much needed fan and she had one over in less than an hour. It helped exponentially and we were so grateful! I picked this property because the reviews were so good, and they were not wrong - the host was amazing, the property was clean, the amenities were very good, and the location was great as it’s in-between two Tube stations on the District line which is very convenient for getting to a lot of the top tourist destinations. However I was surprised by a few details that were not mentioned in any reviews that I read but would definitely prevent me from staying at this property again or recommending it. First, the room is MUCH smaller than the picture makes it appear. The bed was extremely tiny and very uncomfortable, I’m 5’3” and my feet hung off the end. The shower only has about 2 feet of head room so I hit my head on the ceiling every time I showered. Most surprising, while the location is good for getting to the Tube and having restaurants and groceries nearby the street is extremely busy with both foot and car traffic and the apartment is literally on the street, someone can easily step from the landing into the window at the head of the bed. The morning foot traffic is very busy and noisy. If you have to have the windows open, which we absolutely did, people can see directly into the room and there is absolutely no privacy. The neighborhood also gets pretty dodgy at night, there is a pub literally steps away and there were drunk people walking past screaming and fighting every night which did not feel safe, especially as the windows have three separate locking mechanisms on them. There’s also no privacy in the bathroom so if you want to have that window open the entire back row of flats can watch you do your business! Lastly the walls are paper thin so we got to hear the neighbor’s domestic violence situation every morning and night. We even had to leave the property at 10:30 pm one night because the yelling was so bad, which again did not make me feel safe being out in the dodgy neighborhood at that time.

She said the area was dodgy and was never mentioned in any previous reviews, the reason being, the area is not dodgy please read reviews saying how pleasant it is (in fact Police rate the crime levels as low). Amber Rudd & Michael Gove both senior MP's who served in Mrs Teresa Mays & Mr Boris Johnsons Cabinets' live very close by (one in the next street) & prestigious members club - Queens Tennis Club is closer than the pub, showing how the area is well heeled & middle class. In fact many guest enjoy visiting the pub saying how welcoming & pleasant it is. Everything was too small, the apartment, the bed, the shower, the bed is 6ft3in long so she must have slept across the bed in the wrong way for her feet to go over the end! everything is written in the description, flat size etc. Everything in the U.S. is bigger compared to the UK. As for the area being busy, its a residential area in London a major city with rush hour. Maybe she should have stayed in sleepy little village outside London. London is a densely populated city with people living very close together, and is a bustling place. The studio has plenty of privacy, frosted glass, blinds (see pics). The claim of paper thin walls and domestic violence is a worrying tone, and one that surely would have been mentioned in previous reviews, if true. I can assure you that the walls are solidly built, the apartment is a conversion from an original Victorian House, so some small noise should be expected, we've never had complaints of regular arguments. Alyson did stay in London whilst Notting Hill Carnival was on, near by, it attracts 2.5 million attendees, 40,000 volunteers and 9,000 police, maybe this had some influence on her “experience”. I was disappointed that even though I was in contact with her, not once did she raise ANY issues with me. Indeed our last messages between us, she clearly says “no complaints” so I don't know why she complains in the review. When compared to the numerous good and positive reviews about the apartment and area I feel that her review does not give a fair and accurate description.

Wonderful stay in London!

Ideal location with easy access to the London Underground, the Tube. An easy to walk to Kensington High Street with fabulous shops and restaurants. I recommend Dishoom restaurant just off Kensington High Street for wonderful Indian food with a social conscious promoting unity for the world. Mia is wonderful, she accommodated us, allowing us to checking in early since our flight arrived at Heathrow at 6 am! She also communicated with us quickly, which always makes me feel at ease when renting. The flat was just right, with all the amenities needed, hair dryer, converter plugs to use with our US gadgets. Loads of mirrors, which us ladies know is a necessity with traveling! Kitchenette had everything we needed. I highly recommend Mia's place and would happily stay there again.

Perfect stay

The studio is small but very confortable, and fornished of all the needed for an enjoiable stay. What ‘s more the location is perferct to reach all the most important places and services in London thanks to two tube stations round the corner. We hope to go back to Mia’s place in the future.
