Arawak House is a traditional Caribbean style wooden house located above Smuggler’s Cove offering guests one of the most spectacular views in the area. The outside deck and dining area feature a magnificent panoramic view over Long Bay to Cane Garden Bay, a bird’s eye view of Belmont Pond with its flamingos, to the incredible sunset vistas over Smuggler’s Cove and Jost van Dyke. A ten minute walk on a private path places you on the sand in Smuggler’s Cove. Gold Seal Certified by the BVI Tourist Board. Sleeps up to 9 people in 3 bedrooms.

My wife and I had a great time for one month, sun and fun everyday. As they say on the island “if you don’t like the weather, wait 15 minute's”. One suggestion, a large umbrella is needed on the upper deck in the afternoon.

Awesome and Authentic

We loved the house as it truly has the authentic island vibe our family was looking for. View and sunsets are spectacular and the teak and mahogany wood house is classic. Be aware you are in the hillside forest so you will have mosquitos and some bugs but that is part of the environment. The ACs in the bedrooms are excellent, but be aware the main living and kitchen will get warm if there is not a breeze. Our family loved the house and Smugglers Cove is the best beach on Tortola. They also provided an awesome pack and play for our 5 month old. Kids loved the downstairs living area and made it their "kids zone". Perfect stay.

Working trip

Great house with an awesome view though a little tired. Drive up the mountain tended to be a challenge even with 4x4 and driveway/parking was steep. Personally enjoyed the house though my staff were not overly impressed due to bugs and scorpion they found in the bathroom.

When we are not in residence, we open our home to others so they might enjoy the island and house as much as we do!

This house was designed and built by my family so that multiple generations could enjoy holidays together with easy access to beaches and sailing

What makes this property unique

Best view in the world from the two decks- its like being on the bow on the ship.
Relax in a hammock on the lower deck or watch the boats go by from the upper deck in the day
Cocktail and apps are especially delicious watching the sunset
Walk to one of Tortola's best beaches
Go out to eat in one of the fantastic nearby restaurants or make your own food with a fully equipped kitchen
