About this property

The Wright House at Laguna Beach

Our home-away-from-home is within walking distance of beautiful, white-sand Laguna Beach. No condos blocking your view. Watch the dolphins and rays when the water is calm. Boogie board or body surf when there are waves. Fish, build sand castles, collect shells and sand dollars with the kids. Stroll along the shore or run if you like. There's lots of room. Our sunsets are spectacular! If you're hungry or just want a snack, Thomas' Donut and Ice Cream shop is just around the corner. If you are looking for a faster pace, Pier Park is just a few miles away. Lots of stores to pick up souvenirs and things you need. Fish off the pier or rent scooters or jet skis. There are restaurants, bars, movies, and rides; and also night clubs if you want to dance. The peach stucco house has been in our family since the 1960s. We remodeled it in 2014 so it's up to code and has all the amenities; new stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and coffeemaker. There are spices, dishes, flatware and pans if you want to cook. The main room has a cable tv, dvd, Amazon Prime and Roku, and plenty of seating. It is an open floor plan so you can see the eat-in kitchen. There is a washer and dryer in the utility room. If you want you can still hang your beach towels on the line. Bedroom #1 has a queen bed and its own bathroom with tub/shower. Bedroom #2 also has a queen bed. Bedroom #3 has 2 twin beds and a tv to entertain the kids. The back bathroom has a shower. The front porch has additional seating areas and has a futon that sleeps 2 so the house sleeps 8 comfortably, and both couches are comfortable for sleeping. The back yard is spacious. There is plenty of room to play or relax in. The driveway/patio on the side is where we usually grill and sit out because it gets shade and a breeze. There are chairs in the storage shed with the beach chairs, umbrellas and beach toys.

Why they chose this property

This property was in the family from the 1960s. We bought it along with a cousin and remodeled it in 2013. We have owned it solely since 2017 and hope to pass it down to our family someday.

What makes this property unique

Laguna beach Homeowner Association pays the taxes on the beachfront property so the view and beach access will never be blocked.
