5EZ Ranch- Minutes to the Kings Canyon National Park
Amazing view and easy location to get - only 1.5 miles off of Hwy 180 & 18 mins to the Kings Canyon National Park entrance (not located near Lake Tahoe or Squaw Valley USA/Olympic Village). 4.8 miles to Project Cat Haven, 1.5 miles to the best Coffee House around, gas and groceries. House sits on 30 acres and has private remote gate access. All new beds & mattresses with new mattress covers, sheets and pillows. New couches, outside BBQ with patio table & chairs. Eco friendly pellet stove with easy push button start. Very relaxing and peaceful.
Living room has satellite TV, choose from 100's of DVD's or use the WiFi to use your Netflix. Enjoy family game nights using the board games provided or just enjoy the night in the front yard around the propane fire pit enjoying the view (Due to extreme wildland fire hazards NO outside wood burning is allowed of any kind not only by us but by county regulations east of the Friant/Kern canal and will be cause of removal from the property).
The kitchen is fully stocked with all necessary pots, pans, dishes, glasses, utensils, ect if you prefer cooking in or enjoy the local restaurant or pizza parlor.
If you are here for fishing, you can fish Pine Flat Lake or the Kings River- both are about 25 mins away. You can fish higher altitude like Hume Lake or the streams that fed into Hume Lake at about a 35 min drive away. If you care to just generally check the area out you might start out at Project Cat Haven then head up into the park to see the giant Sequoias. If so you will come to fork in a road, turn right and you will go to Sequoia National Park, turn left and you will go up and around Hume Lake coming into Cedar Grove and Boyden's Cave. If your trip is a little different you can go wine tasting, get a hold of us and we can direct you to a few different wineries within a 20 minute drive. If you want a little more adventure in your trip we can get you in touch with the people for white water rafting on the upper Kings River or let you know where the locals raft at which is a nice leisure float for half the day. Numerous hiking and biking trails near by.
On the road going into the house off of Hwy 180 we recommend driving at 15 miles an hour. Please be courteous as there are very few residences on this road and the road itself is not super wide. As far as getting around the rest of the area, all this information is available at the house.
We are available and will respond within at least an hour. One of us is always around if any need arises. We are here to make your stay a nice one to remember but also not to intrude.
We are a pet friendly location but we do have an additional cleaning fee due to the extra cleaning & hair removal that must be done as we pride ourselves in being clean & sanitized. A fee of $20 for 1-2 nights and $40 for 3-6 nights (this is not a deposit but an additional pre cleaning fee- if there is extensive cleaning or any damage there will be additional fees after the fact). You MUST inform us at the time of your booking request that you plan to bring your small/medium fur baby with you (dog, cat, weasle, ferret, turtle, ect except Skunks-no skunks are needed as there is plenty in the area 😂). At that time we will discuss expectations to ensure an enjoyable stay for you, them and us. If agreed upon we will happily accept your request. We just need to be clear on a few things as this is a newly built studio with all new furniture and there are hazards to be aware of as well as livestock on the property. Unfortunately if your intentions are not made clear before arrival and you just show up you may be asked to leave without a refund. We have added this after the fact due to issues that have already occurred so to continue to stay pet friendly, as we love our fur babies as well, we needed to make this clear.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

Location was great for visiting KC and Sequoia national parks. We loved the peaceful setting and having plenty of space for 6 people. Very comfortable home, we’d definitely stay here again.
We loved our time at EZ ranch during Thanksgiving week. It was close the National Parks, had all the room and amenities we (2 Big’s, 2 teens, 1 pup) needed to be comfortable, and the views from the back porch were (). Would definitely stay again.
Great location to get to parks and we even went on a day trip to San Francisco. Clean, well kept home with all necessary amenities.

Thank you Shelley! It was a pleasure having you and your family stay at the ranch... your communication was great and we couldn't have asked for the house to be left any better. We truly appreciate everything and would love to have you back anytime! Awesome guest!
We had a great stay at 5EZ Ranch. The photos do not do this house justice, it's one of the nicest homes we've been in for a while. Lots of space, plenty of places to unload clothing and luggage without feeling crowded. There are a few places that the home could use a little TLC, but as a base station for exploring Kings Canyon and Sequoia, it was perfect for our group of 8 people. We really enjoyed the view and seeing the turkeys and rabbits right off of the porch and hearing the rooster when we walked outside in the morning (but it wasn't close/loud enough to wake us up). The area is very remote, so bring what you need for food, but make sure to have a few days dedicated to the parks, there's so much to see here!
Such a beautiful and clean home. The view from the house was amazing. The home itself had plenty of amenities and was very clean. It was a short drive from plenty of activities and the owners were very responsive and helpful. Highly recommended!
We stayed here after a 6 day backpacking trip. We had an incredible barbeque dinner cooked on the grill. The house is large and clean, the property is quiet, and the view is incomparable.
Plus, we had people taking showers, back-to-back, and neither shower ran out of hot water!
Had an awesome time, beautiful view. Nice , clean home, very relaxing. Didn't like that we couldn't have a fire outside due to fire restrictions, but understand why. All in all great place to stay for a relaxing getaway. Not to far from surrounding lakes for fishing. Highly recommend
Great location to visit Sequoia and Kings Canyon. Enjoyed the coffee shop at the end of the road. Great for our family and a set of grandparents. The house has a great view too.
Linens were stained and had hairs (people and animal). Needed dusting.

Clean little house
Was a great 1/2 way point for us between Newport Beach and Kings Canyon National Park. We had some trouble finding the place because the picture of the house didn't match the picture posted on VRBO. Otherwise all was good. The house was clean and in a great spot to get to the park the next day. We ate at Gina's which was fun and so cute!
Vacation house was outstanding! Our grandchildren absolutely loved all the wild life that was around, e.g. turkeys, bunny rabbits, and various bird life. We had a minor appliance issue that was immediately handled and resolved. We had easy access to both Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks. The owners, Jodie and Robert, provided exceptional hospitality and made our family feel very comfortable. Thank you!
I told the truth about this property. I didn't say anything questionable or inappropriate. I would request to book here again, but I think the property was marketed as top of the line in physical plant and it wasn't. My review was spot on. If you can't publish the truth, that's not my burden to bear.
Our family stayed at this property during the epic winter storm. It even snowed enough for us to make snowman and have some snow fun while we were there. The community lost power during the snow storm but Robert was able to set up a generator and give us power. So we had heat from the wood pellet stove and power. We were all so glad that we braved it and stayed on. Because of the wet weather We really enjoyed the fire pit and had so much fun roasting marshmallows.
We walk down to the charming and delicious coffee shop also found Delilah ridge winery and did some wine tasting.
The view from the porch across the valley was so beautiful and the mountains topped with snow spectacular.
Thank you
This house was perfect for us! My husband, parents, and 4 kids (3 teens) stayed here when we visited Kings Canyon and Sequoia NP and we loved it. There were plenty of beds for everyone! Drinking coffee on the porch in the mornings and listening to all the sounds while overlooking the valley was incredible! We grilled steaks and relaxed in the evening.
The house is older and does have some quirks to be aware of. If you put too many clothes in the washer or it gets off balance, it may move forward and dislodge the drain hose in the back, flooding the laundry room floor. We had to sweep the water out the door and dry the rest with towels. I had a hard time getting a hold of the owner to let her know and find out what to do.
Also, you don’t have access to the air conditioner controls yourself, the owners control it manually via WiFi and you have to ask for it to be cooler. The first night the WiFi wasn’t working and we had to open windows and use fans. It wasn’t a huge deal, just something to be aware of. It kind of felt like having to ask my parents permission to touch the thermostat and should be stated in the listing.
Last thing to expect, the beds are all VERY firm. Even the kids woke up aching from the firm mattresses.
I’m still giving this place 5 stars, even taking into account its quirks the property was amazing and we would choose it again.

Bad Way to Start a Vacation
While we found the property to be as advertised, there was a lightning strike before we arrived & power was out. We had to reach out to the host to find out how to check in, that was when she told us no power but it probably wouldn't be out for long. While we are aware this was not the hosts fault, she was not at all responsive to our requests for help as the temps were sweltering (95-100) & we had my 92 year old mom with us (on our 1st trip since my dad passed, trying to give her a little getaway). After waiting for 6 hours, finding ants in our food that we had put on the kitchen counter and darkness coming with no flashlights, we reached out to vrbo with no help (we were cut off as our batteries in our phone died). The host showed up at 9:30 p.m., was very belligerent, said we were "bothering" her while she was at work and she couldn't do anything to help us ~ threw a can of ant spray at us along with 2 pocket flashlights. We thought she had left, but apparently she called the sheriff, wanted us to evacuate at 10 p.m. (nearest town is Fresno, over an hour away), my elderly mom was already asleep as we had traveled over 5 hours by car to get there in the first place. She also turned off the water at the outside valve so we had no running water or working toilets. We left the next morning @ 7 a.m. as she threatened to call the sheriff's on us again. It was a nightmare ~ we certainly did not deserve to be treated like we were. Terrible host, don't stay here!
We had a great week at the 5 Eazy Ranch.Robert and Jodie were great hosts.Home was well appointed, beds were comfortable. We enjoyed our daily visits from the wild turkeys and Bunnys. We would definitely return.Thank you Robert and Jodie for a great week!!
