Estes Park House Rental Photos and Description

House, 4 Bedrooms, 3.5 Baths, (Sleeps 8)

Mont Blanc Chalet perches majestically above the town of Estes Park, Colorado, gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park. With extraordinary sweeping views of the Estes valley, this luxury log home affords guests the grandiose seclusion of a mountain hideaway, but with the convenience of an in-town location.

Wrapped by pine-trees on one side and cliff-side vista views of the Rocky Mountains on the other, this beautiful and modern log home feels like a remote mountain retreat. Relax in the outdoor hot tub as you overlook the Rocky Mountains from the elevated deck. The hot tub is open year-round. Nestled on a mountainside, Mont Blanc Chalet lets you enjoy the serenity and seclusion of the Rocky Mountains, yet you are only moments from all the attractions of Estes Park. (Contact owner directly about number of guests allowed)

About Shawn

I am a climber and a back-country skier as well as former Estes resident. There's no place better than this mountain wonderland.

Shawn purchased this house in 2007

Why Shawn chose Front Range

I have been coming to Estes Park since 1986. It is a great place to gather the whole extended family. And get really scared doing adventure sports that I am now probably too old to do.

What makes this house unique

My property has the most incredible view and an amazing great room for getting the whole family together for special occasions and holidays. I have a hot tub on the deck to enjoy the clear starry nights.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Wow, not sure if it's the hot tub on the deck or the views that were our favorite. Family loved it. Kids really liked the bunks. There are deer that roam around by the back of the house. Thanks for sharing your home.

beautiful property in a beautiful place

great house for a family get together. open floor plan and baby gates provided so the little ones could roam free. The upstairs has 4 double beds built into the loft , perfect for a kids play area. the hot tub has a mind blowing view of the mountains, and is amazing during the day, for sunset, or even better at sunrise. Highly recommended!!

Terrific property with great views

  • 5 of 5

We had a family weekend with 12 people. The house was perfect. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub on the deck with the view. The loft worked very well for the grandchildren.

Lots of Room, Great Views

  • 4 of 5

We spent 4 nights and 5 days at the Chalet, and found the space large enough for everyone to enjoy without being crowded. (9 people) However there were a few things which needed improving or updating. 1. The keyless lock on front door, does not completely unlatch if locked from the inside. 2. The oven needs immediate total cleaning. 3. Take storage bowls as there are no medium sized bowls for left-overs. 4. We were provided with only 2 extra rolls of toilette paper for 9 adults (had to buy more). 5. The ground level bathroom has odor of septic tank-only way to reduce this odor was to leave the exhaust fan running continiously (also bought a room deodorizer too little avail), 6. The outdoor Grill was not functioning properly, burner was clogged, and not heating evenly. and 7. The ground floor bedroom, directly across from the stairs, the door would not close without forcing, as the upper hinge screws were loose, (my husband found screwdriver and replaced 1 screw and tightened the rest-then function smoothly). Also a little touch-up paint and recaulking of ground floor bathtub and replacement of moldy shower curtain replaced. If these things were taken care of this would rate 5 stars.

Amazing Views, Spacious Accommodations

  • 5 of 5

Nine members of our family stayed at Mont Blanc Chalet for a week this summer. We will be repeat customers. The mountain views from the great room and the deck are truly worth every penny. But we were also impressed with the layout of the house and the furnishings -- plenty of space for us all to be together and also for individual alone time. The kitchen is top-notch. We spent at least a few hours each day in the national park, which was so convenient from this property (no need to drive through busy downtown Estes Park, though that too is not far away).

The owner and the property manager were very responsive when we had two issues -- the hot tub wasn't working properly when we arrived, and the hot water heater's pilot light went out. Things happen, and both were fixed as quickly as possible (the water heater within 30 minutes of a phone call).

The great room and deck will get warm with the afternoon sun, but a ceiling fan and open windows and sliding doors keep things in check. And the temperature cools off quickly in the evening.

Wonderful place. We recommend it.

Gorgeous Cabin in Excellent Location

  • 5 of 5

I celebrated getting married with a mini-honeymoon here with 10 of our friends who were in town for the wedding. We had an amazing time. From the ease of access to the cabin to the already heated hot tub, everything was thoughtfully set up and wonderful to enjoy. We watched the super moon lunar eclipse from the spacious porch and dined family style at the giant farmhouse table. And then when we were too full to move, we put a movie on the Roku and relaxed on the giant comfy couches.

The location in Estes is perfect - just minutes from town but still feeling isolated in the Colorado wilderness. While there we saw elk, hawks, rabbits, and deer. I highly recommend the Chalet for a wonderful getaway!

Gorgeous views, responsive owner, room for everyone!

  • 5 of 5

We traveled as a group of 10 with my husband's two siblings and families. The house is gorgeous, very nicely furnished, and the views are fantastic. The house was very clean upon arrival, and since we had a toddler and a pre-schooler along, the easily found child gates, crib, and bed rails were all appreciated. We had a few minor things happen (a too cold fridge, a too hot hot-tub) that we could work around, but wanted to let the owner know were going on, and he not only answered his phone right away, but had a repairman out the same day. Again, we weren't unhappy, but wanted to give him a "head's up" and he still was quick to respond.

The bedrooms are spacious and sleep plenty, but do be aware that there isn't much quiet space. We are all pretty much night owls, so it was OK, but the master bedroom opens into the kitchen, where we all gathered. The loft (with 4 double beds, a couple of sofas, and its own 3/4 bath) has no door, of course, to the family room, and the second king bedroom is directly under the kitchen, so the people who slept there noted some noise with the dishwasher running overnight. The two queen rooms offer the most quiet for those who head to bed early or get up later. For our group who wanted to gather and chat as much as possible, this wasn't a huge issue, but if you have light sleepers or more of a variety of bedtimes, bring earplugs. ;)

The location is excellent, and we really loved the property. While being 2 minutes from groceries and 5 minutes from town, we had a deer visit the yard most of the mornings. Amazing!
