THE LOOSE MOOSE LODGE
Come stay and get loose with the moose! Your home away from home in Estes Park, CO: family friendly, fun, and memorable! Outstanding Views! Perfect in every way!
Kick up your feet, relax, and enjoy this beautifully appointed, air conditioned, modern, three bedroom mountain lodge within walking distance to downtown Estes Park (1 mile) and only a five minute drive to the entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park, where you will find some of the best hiking in Colorado.
This incredible lodge features a private, six person outdoor hot tub on the back patio and a gas fire pit and BBQ grill on the deck with a view of Prospect Mountain. The Big Thompson River can be accessed via two paths just 100 feet from the back door. Bring your pole and try your luck at fishing (catch & release) or simply enjoy a leisurely stroll down the river’s secluded pathway.
During the day you will enjoy the spacious great room with huge windows full of Colorado sunshine. During the evenings, you will enjoy the glow of the fireplace with comfy chairs and a beautiful leather sofa making this the perfect retreat to relax and slumber as adults enjoy a bottle of wine and kids enjoy some hot chocolate. The lodge is beautifully decorated by the owner with mountain and cabin-themed decor. There are three bedrooms: a main floor king master suite, a king guest bedroom, and a queen guest bedroom. This lodge sleeps six comfortably.
The chef in your group will relish in the company of their loved ones while whipping up their favorite recipes in the fully equipped kitchen. There is an elegant breakfast bar with seating for three and a kitchen table with seating for six. Additionally, this lodge is stocked with everything you need from linens, towels, board games, card games, movies, and books.
From the elevated deck or the lower patio, be prepared to encounter deer or elk grazing throughout the neighborhood. If you are lucky, you might see a moose (on the loose), bighorn sheep, mountain goats, and maybe a mama black bear with cubs. Wildlife frequents this area so keep your eyes open and your camera ready.
Be sure to find the gondola during the summer; it goes up Prospect Mountain and offers breathtaking views of the continental divide, the national park, and the entire Estes Park valley. Don’t forget to visit Fun City and enjoy the bumper boats and bumper cars, mini golf, a giant slide, a bungee trampoline, and go-cart racing. Also visit the super fun aerial obstacle course of the Open Air Adventure Park. Some Estes Park attractions are closed seasonally, so please check availability online. Note: Estes Park has a free shuttle network that goes all over the town and into the National Park. In general, the shuttles run late June to mid-September. When you're here, you can leave the car parked in the garage to avoid the traffic of downtown and walk to your favorite restaurants, bars and shops (1 mile).

As a family we found ourselves visiting Estes Park more and more throughout the years, so we decided to look for a 2nd home there. After viewing over 20+ properties we finally found the perfect home with the best views, close to everything. We grew up in Nebraska but now have the luxury to live in Northern Colorado.
