Perched into the hill 150ft above Rendezvous Bay, our property has one of the best views on St. John despite being only a quick, easy 4 minute drive from Starfish in town.
6 King Beds, 2 Queen beds and a bunk bed (twin over full plus trundle), this makes it a total of beds for 18 in 5 bedrooms give our guests many sleeping options. Maximum occupancy is 10 adults plus 6 kids depending on age.

POOL AREA
Highlight of the property is a 5ft deep 15x30ft infinity pool, one of the largest private pools on St. John with one of the best pool views on St. John. There is a large hot tub build into the corner of the pool with a 3hp pump and 2 HP blower for bubbles.
The pool BBQ area with firepit, 2 fridges and ice maker is on the Western side of pool and under the living room of the main level. It is sheltered from the elements - you will be comfortably cool out of the sun and out of the wind. Even during strong thunderstorms where can rain sideways here you will stay dry (unlike some gazebos style sitting areas).
For cold nights or a late night swim, the gas firepit will keep you warm and cozy. There are large decks on both sides of the pool, the left hand side has a platform that can be used as daybed or for yoga, the right hand side is a expansive deck with 8 chaise lounges. It also features a covered wet bar/honor bar, blender and coffee maker. The pool is facing east, taking maximum advantage of view and trade winds. The sunrises are spectacular and you can catch a glimpse of the sunset from the Southern end of the deck.
Easy access, no steep narrow driveway, flat, easy parking. You will arrive at the property and park your car on the level of the pool. To get to the main entrance you have to walk up a few steps on a 40 degree incline over the lawn or a river rocks in concrete driveway. Not suitable for people with limited mobility. In return there are zero steps throughout the property and all bedrooms on main level are on the same level with interior connection.
No walking on stairways to get from a bedroom to the main level.
LIVING AREA
While the pool is brand new and designed for a vacation rental, the main level feels more like a large family home with very large (some over 400sqft) bedrooms and a full size, fully equipped kitchen with Mahogany cabinets and granite counters that goes beyond most vacation rentals (bean to cup espresso machine, Keurig, normal coffee maker, nespresso machine, hot dog toaster, sandwich maker, ninja blender, soda maker and lots of pots, pans and utensils). Our typical guests are multigenerational families or 2 families vacationing together. I would say we are less suited for 5 couples as there are no 5 equal master suites. Each bedroom has a very unique layout and design. The pool area is always a big hit with the kids, young and old.
The décor is modern and simple. There are no elaborate finishes like carved Mahagony bedposts, flowery bedskirts or fragile artisan pottery masterpieces. I return, there is less stuff to worry about that kids could break. They can run free and be as loud as they want.
The main level is overlooking the pool and has 3 patios: 37ft patio off the living room, a private 21ft patio for bedroom 4 as well as a 16x16ft deck off the back bathroom, so even when travelling in a large group you will find a quiet space to meditate or read a book. Families with young kids like the fact that the kids can’t escape to the pool via an open slider (a parent has to open the heavy front door), families with older kids enjoy privacy and peace on the large 37ft upstairs patio off the main living room while the kids have fun in the pool area. There is a second kitchenette with full size stove and fridge in the hallway to bedroom 3 and 4.
There is one bedroom and a large bathroom on the pool level, the bathroom has double shower and double vanity and can easily handle large groups coming back from beach wanting to swim, shower and use the hot tub.
There is always a good breeze blowing at hour property that keeps you cool and the mosquitos away. You can sit outside without being hot or eaten alive by mosquitos. 90-95% of the time the wind is nice to have, 5-10% of the time the wind is a little strong and you may hear it howling.
For the odd days with no wind we have state of the art inverter window A/C units in the bedroom for a good night’s sleep. The majority of our guests does not need A/C especially during the winter and spring and our pricing is based on occasional/night time use only. The property is all about indoor/outdoor living with the sliders open and a gentle breeze flowing through the house.
We can offer this property at a reasonable price as we the owners live on the same property with a separate entrance up the hill. We have our own pool and hot tub up there. Privacy is very important to us, we will not hear or see what is going on in the guest unit and you will normally not see us unless I am watering the plants in the front yard when you get back from beach. We can normally respond faster to issues and questions compared to villa management services that have many properties in their portfolio and a long drive to get to them. 3 indoor/outdoor cats live on property. They are not allowed inside the guest unit.

Ninja Thirsty Soda maker, no need to buy bottled water or sodas if you want to bring Ninja Thisty flavor pods. Extensive liquor selection in pool bar (can be removed upon request) no need to buy lots of bottles if you would like to mix drinks.
High speed 300mb/s fiber optic internet that is very reliable and stays on during outages as well as starlink satellite internet as backup.

All bedrooms have TV, apple tv or firestick/roku, DVD player, Bluetooth speakers and state of the art inverter window AC. There is cable tv with premium channels in the living room and bedroom 4.

Bedroom2: 16x20ft. King size live&sleep resort sleep elite memory foam mattress on a platform bed. Twin over full bunk bed with trundle (small single size). Simpler child-proof furniture.
BR1&2 are separated by a bathroom so they do not share a wall.

Solar & Back up power
We did not have power for 3.5 months after Irma and Maria so we are well equipped for power outages.
- The pool pump is a solar powered Lorentz pump running completely off the sun. The infinity pump as well as the house water pump are solar powered as well.
- The fridge/icemaker and water cooler as well as outlets by pool bbq are completely solar powered and will stay on when power is out.
- The guest unit has 62 solar panels on net metering that produce up to 2.1 MWh per month. The owner unit has its own 70 panels and is completely solar powered
- There is a total of 90kwh of battery backup (the average American home uses 30kwh per day)
- 1152wh Backup power for tv/internet.
- 2400w/2000wH backup for house water pump (so you will have running water during outages).
- 2400w/2000wH backup power in each bedroom plus kitchen/living
- The typical outages on St. John are 2 hour rotations when plant has capacity problem which should be easily covered by the backup. For longer outages the owner unit can recharge the batteries or expansion batteries can be brought down. For a worst case scenario with no sun for several days there also is a 15k gas generator with manual transfer switch (and 7.5k backup generator in case the first fails as well as an inverter generator to charge powerstations directly)
