  • Sunny breezes with a killer view!

"Maria Breeze was the absolute most perfect villa for my group's summer escape to St. John. With 5 wonderful bedrooms, each couple had their own private bath and everyone was comfortable. The main unit's fabulous veranda was our hangout spot from breakfast til sunset and on into the evenings. I never even watched TV the entire time we were there and never missed it. To us, the show was outside, and we didn't want to miss a minute of it. The trade winds were fabulous and the pool was awesome! We didn't want to leave and can't wait to go back! Everyone wants to stay 10 days instead of a week next trip ~ yay! Special shout out to Mark for checking on us and making sure that we had everything that we needed. You rocked it, and we totally appreciated your assistance!"

  • A beautiful property in an ideal location

"We had a wonderful visit to St. John that was made perfect by this well appointed condo with an amazing view of Cruz Bay. Jackie made it so easy to book the property and Susan, the property manager, was so kind to give us an overview of the nearby attractions and made sure we had everything we needed to settle in to our home for the week. The condo itself is a one bedroom, one bath unit with three (!) balconies. The kitchen is furnished with the basic supplies you'd need to make a home cooked meal, although there are so many wonderful restaurants nearby that we ended up enjoying those, rather than cooking, for the most part! We will certainly be back!"

  • Lovely Island Cottage

"My boyfriend and I visit St John fairly often, and we don't think of the island as a luxury destination - what keeps drawing us back is the simplicity of island life. We enjoy having a place to call home while we're there, and home is exactly what Molly's Cottage felt like when we stayed there last month. Cozy and tastefully decorated, with a great new open concept kitchen. We loved the large screened doors which let in the sunlight, cool breezes, and beautiful views (while keeping out the bugs!). Close to town without being right in it, and convenient to every part of the island. (Definitely recommend renting a jeep to get around and explore this amazing island!). Dining options on St John are excellent, but it was nice to enjoy some dinners at the cottage, too. There are several markets in town, so it's easy to stop and pick up whatever you need on your way back from the beach. The deck overlooking Chocolate Hole Bay is great - we ate breakfast there every morning, and it was the perfect place to relax with a cocktail or a glass of wine after days filled with hiking, paddle boarding, and beach bumming (be sure to use bug spray in the late afternoon/early evening when the no see ums and mosquitoes are fierce!). Being able to walk to the beach was fun - Chocolate Hole isn't the most spectacular beach on the island, but it was so nice to have it right there. Nice strolls in the morning and before dinner, and we did spend one very pleasant afternoon there swimming and beachcombing. The lack of AC was not a problem thanks to the breezes and fans (who wants to listen to a noisy window AC unit anyway - or sleep with the windows closed - when you can be lulled to sleep by the sound of tree frogs, crickets, birds, and waves?!). Having a washer and dryer was convenient. We mostly used the clothes line for drying - those breezes dry laundry in no time! There is good internet connection at the cottage, too. The owner is a pleasure to communicate with, quick to respond to emails and answer questions. We would definitely rent Molly's Cottage again. And we would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a simple, laid back island experience."

  • ESTATE CONTANT BEATS WESTIN CANEEL BAY HANDS DOWN

"ESTATE CONTANT BEATS THE WESTIN, & CANEEL BAY HANDS DOWN MAKES MY TOP TEN LIST FOR A GENUINE CARRIBEAN EXPERIENCE The Tenant Estate lodgings by Escape Together--—may not be a big luxury hotel with fancy furniture, and its view may not be as glorious as some (though it comes close). But if you are looking for great hosts, a great place and a genuine Caribbean experience this it! With our hosts guidance, we found ourselves engaging with local people as if we were natives, taking back roads to far towns in quest of adventure, lunching in the most idyllic tropical havens.. I learned from experience that the big name hotels are like a comfort zone with their designer pools, water sports, and welcome bars, but once you enter its hard to escape them except for the obligatory Taxi Ride to Cruz Bay to do officially sanctioned tourist things, or the for an obligatory for dinner or that one trip to the beach. Robert and his Wife’s open, friendly, Caribbean starts to rub off on you from the moment you arrive and show you around the flat. It’s clear from the get go that they have thought of everything, from strong internet connectivity, the sine qua non of any great hotel today, to fans and AC to combat warm air, and from beach chairs, to sun screen, and Off. As you sit on the beautiful porch at Content Estates and stare off a three masted schooner at anchor in the bay below, you find your brain, disconnecting, and your body relaxing from a world where it may be your misfortune to think too hard about just about everything. It dawns on you, "Wow! I am really on vacation." Robert and family, my hosts at Estate Contant helped me realize the best part of a Saint John vacation is not just Pina Coladas, balmy temperatures, turquoise blue waters, but the wonderful people on remarkable island. Robert gave me a great tip for interacting with locals. "Just say, Good morning, Good Afternoon, Good evening to locals and it will make a world of difference. " I did and people consistently responded with great smiles, a helping hand, even hugs! Robert is full of local tips and lore . . . Back roads to far towns, the Fish Ruben in Coral Bay, Hit Maho beach for snorkeling and sea turtles, dinner at Candies Barbecue, a local hangout down the road, One thing is certain I will be back again next year. Couldn’t fit it all in. I wish I had booked in at Escape Together for a week longer. Take my advice, stay here when you come to Saint John"
