"Terrific place to stay. Great location with easy walk to everything in town. Listen to the ocean as you fall asleep. We will be back to this house!"

  • The Best!

"I had the pleasure of spending two nights in the Hybiscus suite of this villa while my niece and her husband were here. I live on St. Thomas and have stayed at a few Villas but Vida de Mar was my ultimate favorite!! It is HUGE! This villa is so well organized, thoughtfully layed out, beautiful, well kept, and very well stocked for a family or friends night of cooking or grilling! Why would you go out to dinner with a GREAT room like this villa has! Making potatoe salad looking out across the ocean WOW! Sitting down to a family made meal over looking the ocean and hearing the waves slap the shore! Oh yeah and then watching a spectacular sunset from one of the many plush lounge chairs on the balcony🌞. Impeccable nice furniture... Great king size comfortable beds with crisp clean bedding... The cleaning woman Teresa does an excellent job! Attention to detail in all categories ... Air conditioned in all units and an easy walk to the beach. Life can't get much better than Vida de Mar the Caribbean Dream book it today will not be disappointed!"

  • Absolute perfection!

"Every detail of this home is arranged for luxurious comfort. From the incredible views to the delightful screen porch to the pleasant decor, we were in heaven! The owners have thought through every potential need for the guest including beach chairs, water bottles for hiking, and a well stocked kitchen. The removable screens and access to the pool were wonderful for our family. We traveled with our three young daughters and two shared the huge bedroom off of the kitchen and one slept in the loft area and loved her easy access to the rooftop porch. My husband and I loved the master with the bathroom view that seemed surreal. I truly thought it was a painting at first glance. We were just delighted with Cielo Vista and so grateful that we were able to enjoy this little piece of paradise!"

  • Holidays in St. John

"Destination St. John Rentals was amazing throughout the rental process. They communicated effectively and often, met us at the ferry dock and escorted us to the condo. There was a wonderful welcome basket with a few snacks from a local deli compliments of Destination St. John too. This was a nice touch and our family very much enjoyed this after a long day of travel. Poolside Gardens at Palm Terrace was clean, bright, very spacious and decorated beautifully. There was more than enough room for our entire family of six (there was room for more). Kitchen was large and many staple items were in the condo from previous guests, sort of like a community pantry. Be sure to check all of the cabinets when acclimating yourself as many kitchen essentials are tucked away. We often had difficulty finding a particular item but located it several days later when using other kitchen amenities. There was a shortage of baking pans and the condo could use a larger skillet (especially when cooking breakfast for large families). Check the spice cabinet before you head to the store as there were several commonly used spices in the cabinet already. Laundry, dishwasher detergent along with dish soap were also included. There is a binder that provides information on what to do and what to expect at each of the famous beaches you can visit on St. John. Beach chairs and ice chest is provided. There was even snorkeling equipment for guests to use. The pool was clean but very small and cold in December. A few personal observations: There was a view from the condo, but not as grand as other places we have stayed on St. John. Couch was not very comfortable and would not stay together (two piece sectional). The lack of water pressure was very frustrating, many of the women in our party had to rinse the conditioner out of their hair in the pool. We did notice that when other guests were not home in the building that the pressure was somewhat better. If anyone in your party has difficulty with stairs, Poolside Gardens may not be the right rental for you. No bath tub if you have small children or if you prefer baths. TV in the living room had challenges during our stay as it was always snowy without a clear picture. Buy bagged ice. Don't rely on the icemaker in the fridge as it never made a full load of ice."
