  • Rooms With A View......Heaven

"From the moment you walk in and see the views of the tortoise sea and sailboats thru the wall to wall glass doors, you will know you are in St. John's and will find it very hard to leave. That view can be enjoyed from each room Taking in the beautiful views and the tranquil sea with the sailboats made cooking breakfast and dinners so enjoyable and easy to do with the well appointed kitchen. The home comes well equipped with coolers and chairs for your picnic or a wine and cheese sunset. The villa is 3 bedroom and 2 baths. It was just my husband and I so we just enjoyed the master bedroom with its iron canopy bed which my husband enjoyed to my surprise. The beautiful master bathroom has a shower overlooking the sea and a private gorgeous outdoor garden. The bed and bedding was soooooo comfy too. It was great having wifi to keep up with our friends and sending them pictures of our oasis. They were quite jealous I might add when they saw the views and the pool and deck area with great lounge chairs and dining set for when you wanted to enjoy a candle lite dinner. Air conditioning in all the rooms made it so comfortable after a day on the National Park Beaches or just exploring this amazing island. Hawk Nest beach was my favorite. We turned the AC off while we were gone as electricity is Very Expensive on any island and within minutes of turning them on the villa was very comfortable. Believe me air conditioning and fresh water on an island are precious commodities, ones you don't want to waste or have to pay for. Most of us from the main land tend to take them for granite. When on an island please DON'T. The location of the villa is great as it is close to several shopping stores and 5 mins to Cruz Bay for a nite out and a pain killer drink or two or two too many. Anne Marie and Bob the owners were a joy to work with and easy to get a hold of if we had a question or needed anything. I can't Thank You enough for sharing your Beautiful Home with us, you have made me feel it's now My Home too."

  • Great Anniversary Vacation on St John

"We just returned from a fabulous 9 day stay on St John. We've been there twice before and had different accommodations each time. Although they all had great features Larimar had the best combination not the least of which was it's proximity to Cruz Bay. The other condos we stayed at you had to drive to town, which is tricking after visiting some of the wonderful bars and restaurants. From Larimar It was an easy walk to town as it was all down hill. The walk back is a little more difficult as you have to climb a moderate hill. Actually it was great exercise! The condo itself was very nice although slightly over kill for just 2 people. The entire unit was very clean and comfortable, especially the master bed. There were plenty of bath towels (I preferred to air dry) and beach towels (again I air dried) along with great beach chairs. Having coolers was also a huge benefit for the beach. The only minor fault I could find was that the kitchen was small and the refrigerator looked like it should be replaced, although it worked fine. The other thing is that it only had a small George Forman grill on the deck, not the gas grill shown in the pictures. We don't like air conditioners so that wasn't an issue, the ceiling and floor fans kept us cool enough and kept the tiny bugs away. Don't plan on sleeping in as the roosters, peacock and morning doves start making a major racket beginning around 4:30am every morning, actually we experienced those natural noises at the other condos too. It's just part of the experience. Oh yeah, then there was the two construction projects going on at either end of the street that began at 6:45am everyday... can't blame the owners for any of that. When all is said and done, I would highly recommend this place and will definitely considerate for our next visit. Oh yes, Steve was a great guy and a big help and always available if needed. Oh before I forget, someone said it's an easy walk to Solomon/Honeymoon Beach, NOT SO! If you start at the beginning of the trail it's a 30 minute walk and another 15 minutes from the condo. I'm in very good shape but to me the hike isn't worth it. Go to Trunk Bay or Cinnamon Bay those are by far the best beaches. Ok now I'm done."

  • Lovely Island Cottage

"My boyfriend and I visit St John fairly often, and we don't think of the island as a luxury destination - what keeps drawing us back is the simplicity of island life. We enjoy having a place to call home while we're there, and home is exactly what Molly's Cottage felt like when we stayed there last month. Cozy and tastefully decorated, with a great new open concept kitchen. We loved the large screened doors which let in the sunlight, cool breezes, and beautiful views (while keeping out the bugs!). Close to town without being right in it, and convenient to every part of the island. (Definitely recommend renting a jeep to get around and explore this amazing island!). Dining options on St John are excellent, but it was nice to enjoy some dinners at the cottage, too. There are several markets in town, so it's easy to stop and pick up whatever you need on your way back from the beach. The deck overlooking Chocolate Hole Bay is great - we ate breakfast there every morning, and it was the perfect place to relax with a cocktail or a glass of wine after days filled with hiking, paddle boarding, and beach bumming (be sure to use bug spray in the late afternoon/early evening when the no see ums and mosquitoes are fierce!). Being able to walk to the beach was fun - Chocolate Hole isn't the most spectacular beach on the island, but it was so nice to have it right there. Nice strolls in the morning and before dinner, and we did spend one very pleasant afternoon there swimming and beachcombing. The lack of AC was not a problem thanks to the breezes and fans (who wants to listen to a noisy window AC unit anyway - or sleep with the windows closed - when you can be lulled to sleep by the sound of tree frogs, crickets, birds, and waves?!). Having a washer and dryer was convenient. We mostly used the clothes line for drying - those breezes dry laundry in no time! There is good internet connection at the cottage, too. The owner is a pleasure to communicate with, quick to respond to emails and answer questions. We would definitely rent Molly's Cottage again. And we would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a simple, laid back island experience."

  • Sunny breezes with a killer view!

"Maria Breeze was the absolute most perfect villa for my group's summer escape to St. John. With 5 wonderful bedrooms, each couple had their own private bath and everyone was comfortable. The main unit's fabulous veranda was our hangout spot from breakfast til sunset and on into the evenings. I never even watched TV the entire time we were there and never missed it. To us, the show was outside, and we didn't want to miss a minute of it. The trade winds were fabulous and the pool was awesome! We didn't want to leave and can't wait to go back! Everyone wants to stay 10 days instead of a week next trip ~ yay! Special shout out to Mark for checking on us and making sure that we had everything that we needed. You rocked it, and we totally appreciated your assistance!"
