  • Stunning Views, Great Location, and Nice Accommodations

"My husband and I just stayed 5 nights at Villa Tranquil Breeze on our first trip to St. John and had a fantastic time! We loved the location - it's not quite walking distance from town, but you could get there in only 5 minutes. The villa was clean, comfortable, and very well equipped. We were happy to use the beach chairs, cooler, and snorkel gear, and not have to rent our own. The Crandalls helped us to rent a Jeep and our greeter, Luciah, was extremely helpful in showing us the way to our Villa and giving us plenty of wonderful recommendations for the island. I cannot say enough great things about this place! I would definitely recommend it, and we will certainly be back!"

  • 3 generations in paradise

"We have been to St. John many times since our honeymoon in 1999. We have always stayed in a different villa, but Sanctuary was always one we said we would go back to one day. We traveled with our 2 children (13 and 9) and my husbands parents. The Villa did not disappoint. It is still as welcoming and accommodating as it was when we stayed there in 2004. The kitchen and all it's amenities were a highlight of the house! One suggestion I would make is to have a couple beach chairs that are higher off the ground. This would really help out the older people when traveling to the beach. Other than that it was perfect!"

  • Awesome view, well-maintained property

"My husband and I spent a four days in the Cottage in early August. The positives were many: The property management company is VERY helpful. The owner picked us up from the Westin, where we were staying for the first part of our trip, which saved us a lot of trouble and cab fare. They also helped us with several other special requests throughout the stay. Five stars to them! The property itself is beautiful and very well maintained. The view of Cruz Bay is great! I love that the Cottage is right next to the pool . . . it makes it seem like the pool/deck is part of your rental. We sat out there most nights and listened to the music coming up the hill from the Beach Bar. We appreciated that beach chairs, a cooler, and beach towels were provided. There are also laundry services on site. The walk to town isn't particularly far, but it's definitely not an easy hike back if you aren't in decent shape. The only bummers for us were that the air conditioning unit was barely functioning, and the shower puts out *very* little water. Those two things combined made it difficult to ever feel comfortable in the unit. A few upgrades on those items would make a big difference for travelers."

  • Will stay here again!

"My husband has told me over and over this week, "You did good" referring to Bliss. This place is perfect for the two of us. We were just blown away when we walked in or should I say moved in...we may never leave! I can go on and on but here are a few highlights: 1. Laurie has been amazing to work with. She has made the entire experience a breeze. 2. The views are amazing! It would be hard to find anywhere on the island with better views overlooking the bay and St. Thomas and when you step out to take a look, there is an iguana that lives in the tree right by the porch that has been there everyday. I'm going to have to name him soon. 3. The condo is super clean, private and quiet. It is on the corner so there is no one next to you looking in. 4. Everything you need is provided. Chairs and snorkel equipment is ready for the beach. Renting a chair at Trunk Bay is $10 per chair plus $25 plus chair deposit. That doesn't even include snorkel equipment. Take your own and save the money. If you like to snorkel, go to Maho Bay to see the turtles. They feed there on the grass and they are huge. It's much cheaper than going on one of the snorkel excursions. There is a washer and dryer and laundry detergent provided. I'm so happy to be able to wash throughout the week and not have loads of laundry when get home. 5. Rent the Jeep from Crandall. It was so easy. No messing around with rental companies after we arrived. Laurie picked us up at the ferry and had our Jeep ready to go. We were off to start enjoying our vacation within minutes of getting off the ferry. Another HUGE plus is that if you rent one of their Jeeps, you can park it at their office in Cruz Bay when you are in town. We probably saved $20 a day on parking by parking at their office. I will say that driving on the island is a challenge. They drive on the left side and you are always driving up and down the mountain. A Jeep is a must. If I had to pick one thing that may keep people from renting Bliss, it may be that the bedroom is upstairs. There is a spiral staircase that is pretty steep so I think it would be difficult for an elderly person to get up and down the stairs. Besides that, this place is perfect for a couple! Don't hesitate. You can stop searching. You will be happy with your choice if you rent Bliss!"
