About Jolene Clarke
Gary and I have lived in Tamarindo since 2001. We drove to Costa Rica with our son and another family from California for the adventure of a lifetime that lives on today. Upon arriving to Costa Rica after our epic three month journey through Latin America, we started a new chapter in our lives. An unlikely couple, Gary is from New Jersey and I, a native Californian, it is our love of travel and adventure that keeps us happy and laughing. Prior to moving to Costa Rica, Gary spent his first career of 30 years in Medicine and I was a teacher and Interior Designer. Once we arrived in Tamarindo laying in hammocks all day for 3 months was just not enough. So, Gary ventured into a new career in real estate to spice things up for the next 10 years. Gary retired once again in 2012 as one of the busiest most successful and well respected realtors in our area. In 2007, when our son Brooks left for college, we were lonely and thought it might be fun to rent out one of our casitas that we used only a couple times a year for family. Little did we know how much fun it would be and the friends we would make along the way. We invite you to come be our guest and see what life is like living in Tamarindo, Costa Rica. We will show you this lovely country and Tamarindo through our eyes and give you, in our humble opinion, the best places to eat and send you on the adventure tours that best fit your vacation style. This is our family business and Gary, Brooks and I take great pleasure and pride in giving you the best vacation we can deliver. Come see us, we would love to have you as our guest. Gary, Jolene and Brooks Clarke

Why Jolene Clarke chose Tamarindo
We have been traveling to Costa Rica for over 25 years. From the moment I stepped off the airplane on our first trip here I knew we would retire here one day. What we did not know was that the house we originally built to sell would turn out to be our dream home and fulfill my life long desire to have a Bed and Breakfast. We love Tamarindo for its great beaches, sunsets, wildlife, adventure activities and of course the vast array of restaurants. We have traveled all over the world and have never found a beach town we liked more. Tamarindo is small and unspoiled and is one place in Costa Rica and the world where you can go, do and see it all in one place on your vacation. We are the perfect property for honeymooner's, babymooner's, executive surf trips and those looking for a quiet, relaxing or active getaway. Arrive as guest, leave as friends!
What makes this Villa unique
Our colonial architecture with furniture, art and accessories from our travels make for a warm, eclectic, welcoming environment. Plus, you can't beat the pool and garden areas to relax after a day at the beach or a canopy tour. You will love your 'Casitas for two,' that was decorated lovingly over the years for your pleasure and comfort. I love how our Villa has many different areas to enjoy, the pool, the rancho, the bistro area and the grand patio, something for everyone. Of course Maria's great breakfast is definitely the icing on the cake each day.

Beautiful and so Relaxing!
The moment we arrived Gary greeted us like family. He went out of his way with suggestions making sure we had everything we needed. Loved all he suggested! Jolene was very helpful during the booking process. And Maria is also one of a kind. Her breakfast is to die for! Didn't want to leave will definitely be coming back! John and Barb Nov 2019
We just returned home from a 5 night stay at Villa Andalucia. My girlfriend and I both agreed: this was the best trip of our lives.
Gary and Jolene were excellent hosts. They greeted us at the door upon arrival with a friendly welcome. Gary showed us to our room and took us for a personal tour around Tamarindo and Langosta. Highly recommend. The tour gives you the lay of the land and Gary's laidback vibe makes you feel more comfortable and secure, which allows you to slip into vacation mode.
Our room at the Villa was beautiful, extremely clean and filled with interesting decorations, which were hand picked by Jolene on adventures throughout Latin America. Our stay at the Villa made us feel as if we were living in a different world. Very romantic setting. The pool was awesome and we had it to ourselves the entire stay.
Gary and Jolene were very helpful in coordinating the entire stay. We ripped ATVs through the jungle to beautiful secluded beaches. We took the Rincon de la Vieja Tour, which was awesome. Horseback riding, whitewater tubing, and zip lining at a Volcano. You can't do that in Kansas City! On our last day, we rented a golf cart and went on our own little safari through the back roads of Tamarindo. Saw a lot of wildlife. Gary told us a route to this mountain peak overlooking the entire coast where we could see for miles at sunset. Got some awesome pictures.
The breakfasts by Maria were excellent. I honestly wanted to just live there.
Gary and Jolene were very intelligent and interesting people. Our stay at Villa Andalucia was truly excellent. We cannot wait to go back.
We had a wonderful time! Can’t wait to come back! Thanks Gary and Jolene!!
This was everything we hoped for and more! The property is not only stunning, the hosts, Jolene and Gary, were incredibly gracious and helpful and made everything perfect. From the beautiful rooms to the wonderful breakfasts and the fantastic recommendations, this was the perfect place for relaxation as well as adventure. Not only were we welcomed but we were spoiled! It was the perfect way to celebrate our anniversary!
This place was unreal! We stayed here for my 30th birthday, opting for an upgrade to the hostels we were staying at prior. Jolene and her husband allowed us to check in early with our things so we could go explore the town without worry. They were very hospitable, caring about every little detail, including a detailed walk through of the restaurants that were vegan friendly. The room was brilliant with a seriously comfortable bed. We also got to enjoy the back area hammocks.
The only complaint we had was that when we arrived, we found out there was no breakfast at this bed and breakfast on the weekends. Since we were checking in Friday and checking out Monday, we didn’t really get to enjoy this part of the rental.
Would stay again in a heartbeat!
The property is just as pictured! Jolene and Gary are wonderful host! Very awesome folks! The property is perfectly located in the heart of everything but nestled on a quiet little road away from the busy town. Just a 5-8 minutes walk took us to the all great restaurants and fun of Tamarindo. I would MOST definitely recommend this property and return. Also, we had Jolene schedule a couples massage for us, and it was EXCELLENT!! And Maria’s breakfast is DELICIOUS!! All GREAT things are in Costa Rica!
Thanks Jolene and Gary for having us, we truly had a wonderful time!!
