Matapala vacation rentals

We stayed for 7 days with our family of 5. The house was perfect with 3 young kids. The beach a few steps away was our favorite out of all the ones we visited in the area. The sunsets were spectacular. We woke up one morning seeing 18 howler monkeys climb through the trees at sunrise and that is something we will never forget! The location cannot be beat, and the shops and restaurants a few steps away make grabbing a meal a breeze. It was a magical and peaceful stay!

This property has three units. The units are in the back of the property and the pool (great pool) is right off the beach. There is a resident iguana that hangs around the palms by the pool. The units are small, but have everything you need. We stayed in one of the upper units which gave us a lovely view for breakfast in the morning and cocktails in the evening. The only negative we would have is there is not a lot of space to put your clothes away.

This accommodation provided an exceptional stay. The unit was impeccably clean and secure, with 24/7 on-site security. Communication with the owner was excellent. While we had our own snorkeling gear, the property offered a variety of sizes for guests to borrow, which proved invaluable when my husband lost a fin. The stunning ocean view and efficient air conditioning made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The convenient path leading directly to the beach was a highlight, and we discovered that the best snorkeling was right at our doorstep. The nearby town offered a charming atmosphere with numerous dining and entertainment options. Overall, this property exceeded our expectations and provided a memorable experience.

Wow! Just wow! My daughter cried when she entered this incredible home. The views literally took my breath away. For those that enjoy cooking, the kitchen is well stocked. I could hardly bare the excitement of waking up in Villa Fugata. Bilitis is a top notch, A+ host. She had every detail of our trip meticulously scheduled….fishing, early in the morning with the driver picking up right on time, yoga with Wendy on the deck overlooking the ocean and horseback riding on the beach. This trip was truly exhilarating. We lounged by the pool, read books had some great lunches and dinners, watched the magnificent sunsets, took dips in the pool at night and slept very well. Benjamin, the pool guy, was so friendly and went out of his way to show us around the property. The daily cleaning crew would slip in and out everyday to make beds and tidy up the house. We never even saw them. The whole stay was outstanding. This was hospitality at it’s finest. We would not change one thing. Thank you for sharing this beautiful home with us and making our trip seamless. One piece of advice I might add is to leave the inside stairwell lights on at night. The steps leading to the 2nd floor can be a bit tricky to navigate. Hope to be back very soon! Pura Vida!

The property is well appointed and the hosts were easy to communicate over whatsapp when we had any questions. This is a nice quiet community on a peaceful low traffic beach. We were able to walk to several restaurants and bars but do recommend that you rent a car when staying here as it expands your options to explore quite a bit. There are many beautiful secluded beaches nearby if that is your thing or if you want to experience a more vibrant nightlife a short drive to Tamarindo will put you in a busy party zone. This property was so quiet and wonderful to relax at the end of the day and just sit on the balcony and stare at the water. Would definitely stay here again.

I had a great time at Kimberly's condo and she is a great host. She replied to all of my questions and the place was very clean upon arrival. I love that area and beach and would definitely stay there again.

From communication by Oscar to the checkin process, everything went smoothly. Place was nicely furnished and we would stay again next time we are in the area.

We had everything we needed in the home including the perfect view. What a dream stay for our family!!! Liz and Sergio were available timely and communicated well the entire trip. The house was comfortable, safe, well stocked, and good working ACS. We are an adventurous family and had the opportunity to snorkel everyday right off the beach, go zip lining, horse back riding, and rapid tube riding. Best family trip ever!!
